thumbs up Joe great detailed instruction. i have also seen a take away system for the spin sheet that is attached to spin tack line, a video on that would be great too.
Seems to make not too much sense - in low winds the spinnaker is hardly able to pull over the windward sheet, the tension by spooling up the sheet seems to much imho.
great video. do you think its possible to do a set up like that on a hobie 18 ? I just purchased a hobie 18 and it doesn't have a very good downhaul I thinks its stock. thanks Joe keep the great videos coming
Hi Joe very interesting video but I’m not sure that it is possible to do that on the Pearl with no self taking option I don’t understand the use for the downhaull system 🤨🧐🤪
Hi Joe, it's me again, the new season is here, us here in Germany can't wait to go out. Now, I just removed the end caps on my Tiger only to find out there seems to be nowhere to buy new ones. Do you have an idea where to get them? Thanks
Did they get damaged when you removed them? I would speak to the guys at Hobie Holland - if they haven't got any, they'll know who does. www.hobiecat.nl/?page_id=3278
@@JoyriderTV Thanks a lot for the tip. No, they didn't get damaged its just that there is a way too large hole in either of them. I'd like to install the take away system with the nice drilled holes and the bung housings.
Thanks Joe!
Any time!
Boatfiddling is a great deal of catamaran sailing fun. Verry nice video 👍I love it😎💪
Thanks 👍
Great video! preparing for the first seson ever on a tiger.
Have fun!
*Thanks from Texas*
You're welcome!!!
Great video, your editing is constantly getting better. Wish I could need this vid but I don't have a catamaran (yet).
Thanks, I'm glad that you think so!
No Brasil o nome disso è GAMBIARRA !!! Congratulations J.
Thanks!

I haven't seen that method for the sheet. I'll keep my eyes open and if I see it i'll certainly copy it.

@@feedingravens I think it is something that we tried before - we didn't keep doing it as it was another potential for ropes getting caught/tangled

You could certainly upgrade the downhaul but it wouldn't work to put lines into the beam.

You can only do this with the jib if you have self tacking.
The downhaul - same as with the Tiger

Hi Joe, is that a 4mm shock cord?
Yes, 4 is the optimum for this
