- There is no other way to say it. The Cincinnati Bengals didn't get the job done against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon in Paycor Stadium.
A heavy favorite to win the game, the Bengals faced a New England Patriots team many expected to turn the tide of previous seasons with a win on the opening weekend of the season. Instead, the Patriots rushed for 170 yards, watched as the Bengals made costly mistakes, and gave new Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo his first career win.

Unprepared, poorly-coached team. Stupidity being tolerated. (Hudson should've been on waivers before he got back to the sidelines) Pathetic play-calling. We just lost at home to a team that will be drafting in the Top 5 of next year's draft. Someone please tell Zac these games count now. And if Burrow's wrist is no 100%, play Browning until Joe is healed, however long that takes.
Didn’t get it done IN THE PRESEASON. Sick of using weeks 1-2 of reg season getting up to speed. Taylor is now 1-10 in the first two weeks….all because he refuses to use preseason for what it’s FOR.
Taylor is a terrible play caller because he is a groove killer. Whenever the offense gets in a groove, he meddles and kills it instead of letting JoeyB cook. Zac's ego will not allow himself to let his OC take control. A for culture; F for play-calling and preseason prep.
Anyone else sick of seeing his Gomer Pyle glum-face on the sideline as he continues to repeat failed vanilla play-calling approach and killing JoeyB's groove?

the bengals have way to many distractions ,this team is a failure ,the offensive line is horrible and kansas city will destroy them
I've been a Bengals fan a long time. Very disappointed with that performance. It's not gonna get any easier from here. If they're not running around like their hairs on fire this game, it's gonna be rough to watch this season. Who Dey!

I've said the same thing on bengals talk this game was lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball on off they couldn't get any push borrow was under pressure all game on def the d line was MANHANDLED and you know dave theD line is the first line of defense specially against the run when it fell the rest of the def couldn't tackle for crap
I'm sorry Dave, I WAS THERE. They could not hold on to the ball, they had TERRIBLE play calling, they could not protect Joe, and those are the just the tip of the 'berg. The decision to play preseason lite was definitely showing its colors for Joe on Sunday. Oh and did I mention our turnover count was DIRT? I can only PRAY that this was just a generous contribution to the L column and that they will show up for KC.
What’s it gonna take for this coaching staff to come into week 1 looking like a physical team? It’s embarrassing to get DOMINATED like that in the trenches. I fear this isn’t something we can’t just “turn on” our defensive line hasn’t been the same since we had a legit rotation on the d line with Ogunjobi. We have zero depth at the position and it’s gonna be a year full of poor run defense and an inability to control the clock cause we refuse to commit to the run ourselves. I liked the Rankins signing and Jenkins draft pick but we needed more. There were multiple veterans that could have added the depth we really need. We play in a division with teams whose strength is running the ball and what’s our solution to that…? We put wayyyyy too much faith into two draft picks who are now both missing time. That was a huge mistake by the front office for a defense that was 26th against the run last year. Very frustrating.
The bengals don't know how to play football, very bad line coachs, overpaid, underperforming players.. the rest of the league and the world are seeing this...

Zac Taylor is what happened. This team is never ready on week 1 and the play calling is atrocious. And when are we gonna have an O line???????!
The last time we went 1-0, burrow had a healthy season and went to the Super Bowl. If we really want it now, we gotta absolutely grind for it. I believe we can turn it around and not fumble the ball, and actually commit to tackling. I feel the defense like when we are down we don’t go the strip enough and go straight for the tackle. Pratt is big on that but didn’t see it at all when the pats ran the ball, hill missed 3 edge tackles for a big gain but I believe in him to get that down and not allow that. Stop the turnovers, and the offense WR need to get separation. Line needs to open more holes for the HB and can we get brown more touches. We have so many other things to work on, I am really let down by this loss. Regardless we should have won, especially on the last drive.
I know the turnovers led to 10 points for NE.... But the horrible play calling,offensive futility and inability to stop the run or tackle and control either side of the line is why they lost... every phase was below par.... Zac is lucky to have the turnovers to blame for looking this bad

I have a question dave why can't the Bengals get better o line play since Joe borrow came in the league he's been 1 of the most SACK QB'S in the NFL it cost Cin's a SB so what's the problem personal or coaching it's always the same old story it's cost borrow 2 season ending Injurys because of getting hit so many times

Disagree on the fourth and 5 yards. They haven’t stop the run all day. Why would you think they would all of a sudden stop it then. At least they had a shot to extend the drive.
They're trying to play a college scheme in a professional league. What do they expect? Even Mixon said he's happy to finally be playing big boy football again.
