I love the snow! Lived in New England, have had snow up to my hip bone and I’m 5’9”! It was lovely and I’ll never forget it!

I found your channel this morning, and I am so happy that I did. I live in the United States, but my heart is in London. Don’t ask me why I’ve never been there, but I’ve always felt like I was born in the wrong place. London in the snow is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so much for doing this. Sinead, you're like Vancouver when it snows, everyone gives up and walks home or wait out a 9 hour delay in traffic. Toronto received the 2nd dusting last Sunday and it's pretty, but I prefer the hot, humid 30ºC weather, there's nothing prettier than a palm tree covered in twinkle lights. I can never get warm enough despite dressing properly for the winter. Beautiful to see London like this.

just missed the snow by a few days, was in London last week in the cold but no frost and no snow! Bit of winter wonderland here in Norfolk, UK, but only frost and no snow, so hope you enjoy it!❄☃

I was there running around Little Venice under snow on Monday. Took lots of photos. It was magical. The winter light spectacular. ☃️
I'm usually in London this time of year but had to go early because I work in retail so I went in September and I'm glad. One of the best things about going there is getting out of winter for awhile. It looks like this was a great year to have to go earlier. You've also just mentioned something else I hadn't thought of and that is that everyone is working from home today. If the past two years didn't teach us anything else, it's that the world doesn't stop if you can't leave your house.
So reminiscent of Dicken's "Christmas Carol," with Ebenezer walking through London's glorious snow!

The snow was lovely. I loved the hushed atmosphere and how everything just seems calm and so much quieter. Beautiful, just beautiful! What a wonderful day for a hot chocolate or cappuccino and walk around just enjoying the beauty. ❤️

Hi to you from a fellow Baystater. I'm in the South coast area. Hope we get a bit of snow for Christmas this year as well.
It is interesting to see that most of the trees are leafed out. This must have been in autumn before they lost their leaves. Lovely---it reminds me of the 1862 lithograph by Currier & Ives called New York Winter---The Skating Pond. Thank you once again for a "cool" tour.
This was mid December :) It was so unexpected!

Hi Sinead, I just came across your channel & am loving it as air travel to the UK is prohibitively expensive at present. I know what you mean about being careful as currently recovering from total left knee replacement & having to be careful with my balance. Loved the F& M vlog and Christmas markets & now this! My God daughter lives in London so these vlogs bring her to mind even more. God bless & have a happy Christmas. It was amazing to Green Park so white after the brown of the earlier drought. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘

Very pretty. I live in northern mi and we had a snow fall on the 11th . Just a few inches. But in the middle of nov we got dumped on. I hope u guys get tons of snow for Christmas..

This brings back memories. I recall a business trip in Jan 1987 when there was a couple inches of snow; I was staying at the Cavendish Hotel on Jermyn Street, and I recall the slushy pavements of the Ritz arcade in particular. There was more snow while I lived in London in 1988 & 1989. London is splendid anyway, but a dusting of snow makes it magical.
What’s even more special is it’s quite rare
Thankfully we have time and technology to capture it

I just adored this video - St James's Park was a favourite when I was in London many many years ago - I soo appreciate you sharing the views when its all beautiful and snowy like this - London is magical and beautiful but the dusting of snow just brings a special magic to it - I am writing from thousands of miles away in New Zealand where it is just raining so heavily - but we are in our Summer . There is something missing when there is no snow at Christmas - you bring me alot of joy help me deal with issues issues of pain which can dominate your life and outlook - with you for a moment I forget the pain and feel hopeful and alive - Do you know what a gift it is to bring comfort and hope and joy to others simply doing what you do ?? One day when I have had my surgery - get well again - I will travel again to London - and ask you to so kindly be my tour guide. I can think of no better person to ask - Thank you - CHristmas blessing love to you and yours xx

Canadian here-- snow we are def used to but I absolutely agree with you. The quiet after a snowfall is always terrific. And an evening walk with snow on ground is magic as it looks almost like daylight. The best! All the dogs are going to love it as well. Stay safe driving and walking, but enjoy!

I remember when I was living in East London (Plaistow) back in the winter of '91 (I may have the year wrong) that London had a snowstorm of about two feet of snow. It was wonderful! I remember the bus traffic still operating well past midnight due to the snow when they would normally be done for the day. Then the next day we took a train out to Canterbury, Kent and the snow made the landscape a true winter wonderland.

last month 1/11 to 16/11/22 i was in london on a vacation ... now heavy snowing ....i may not b able to stand the cold weather as i came from sarawak ,borneo ...equatorial rainforest climate here..

Love the snow ,was a bit like tasmania (Australia) 3 years ago we had snow to sea lvl which hadn't happened for 50 years ,loved it,as we travel to cradle Mountain 2 has away every July to hopefully get snow was lucky to have snow this July. Our dogs and cats didn't know ow what to think

It has to be warm to snow if that makes sense. In Canada it snows when we get above -20c below that is ice storms.

A London White Christmas. Just the ones Charles Dickens wrote about. Living north of Boston, I can not really get into the spirit without some snow on the ground. Happy Christmas Sinead if I don't comment between now and the holiday.

We did Sunday! There is a major storm in the Midwest that will reform in the Carolinas by this weekend which could determine a White Christmas in Southern New Hampshire.

I am close to Gatwick airport so about 15 miles away as crow flies. Surprising how much more snow we have. At least 6 inches around here. Rain and 13C from Monday. So if you return to these parks next week can highlight the differences in our weather. One day like the North Pole then like Sahara desert the next 😀

@@Sineadlondontourguide “SHORT” 😱 start from behind Southwark Cathedral. The Mudlark, Irish pub, is good. Under new London Bridge can see the Nancy Steps. Last remaining bit of the previous London Bridge you can see. Then another drink in the Mug House, this is good to visit and can ask for beer in pewter mugs. Then to the Xmas market. So never a short visit 😂🍻

snow is an insulator. That amount of snow can be gone with a broom. In Philly we wouldn't even be talking about that. I laughed at that snow angel. You need a lot more to get the effect. She tried. I guess Dickens stretched the truth when he always spoke of horrendous winters & snow falls. Maybe it was when you weren't dressed properly. For your sake, I hope you get lots more before Xmas. It does fit the season & makes people happy. Enjoy!
It’s not much in London but other parts of the country were much deeper. I live in the Cotswolds and it’s was fairly deep in parts here. Having to get tractors out to rescue stranded cars.
