2024 Kawasaki Eliminator: Are you looking for a cruiser? | PowerDrift

- The Kawasaki Eliminator sits in a weird space. A cruiser that’s not traditionally a cruiser but feels like one. At a price tag of Rs. 5.6 lakh, its also not the most affordable of the lot. Does it make sense to buy one? Varun Painter finds out.

Love seeing the team behind the camera
Team work always! 👌👌👌
Amazing...love that you introduced the team at the end!
Team work makes the dream work
What Bajaj should've done with their Avenger years ago. It is a growing segment but they just don't want to do it despite people begging for an engine upgrade of the Avenger.
Brilliant video , unlike any other
Loving the last part of videos lately introducing the team who works so hard as the narrator.. keep up the good work team PD...
Glad you enjoyed it! Team work makes the dream work.
One of a main superb thing about this video was the ending were we come to see all the team members who work to get the content look superb🤗🤗🤗🤗
Team work makes the dream work!
@@powerdriftofficial please keep up with this trend. It serves as a comprehensive portfolio of your team members work, providing tangible evidence of your team's achievements rather than mere claims.
Cheers Manjunath@@manjunathmadabal
Good video! I am insearch of a cruiser from sometime, it ends up with Vulcan everytime..I know its 650 cc segment, but shedding 1.8 lakhs additional for Vulcan makes more sense as its refined and a proven product. Hope we see more 650 cc cruiser competition around this price range.
Thank you for adding the song!!
We just had to.
❤❤❤ Kawasaki is a emotion
Well…

Great❤
❤️❤️
@PowerDrift extrapolate with your best guess (including doable mods like replacing tyres) about how well this may work for a Ladak trip ...
Nailed the background scores
❤️❤️❤️
I still remember, when Eliminator was launched in early 2000's that time also it was the most expensive motorcycle in India at ₹ 90k approx...
Cruiser days!
Honestly, I like how the motorcycle looks. Yes, kawaski could have done a little more with the seat, silencer, tyres and of course some more features.
In my opinion any japanese brand will have better refinement and ride comfort than the REs.
I think Kawasaki defenitely needs to localise production and parts if they want bikes like Eliminator to be successful in the Indian market. Though different segments NX500 from Honda is slightly better value for money if someone is willing to spend 6lakhs on a bike.
The refinement was a curve ball. We weren't expecting it at all. But otherwise, its a really nice motorcycle to ride.
😢😊@@powerdriftofficial

Nice video.. any plans for nx500 review?
Probably not. Honda does not have a media unit
Introducing the crew is sweatest gesture that everyone should do at the last
Cheers Nitin.
The X440 makes even more sense now
But that’s not a cruiser
One of the two brothers of our 90's era, the other one was Yamaha Enticer! and then came along the Bajaj Avenger, and the rest is history. 😅
Correct
PCMC looking cleeaannnnn ❤
⚡️
"O humdum" was the perfect choice here. Ah! sweet nostalgia!
90s kids assemble
I'm riding Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise and still looking for a cruiser. I wish Bajaj could launch Avenger 400CC😊
🤞
Is this comparable with the benelli 502 ??
We don't think so.
Man... It's pricey.... But with a good seat height for a short rider like me
Very accessible seat height yes
Perhaps I’m just getting old but I always thought a cruiser has to be a big, heavy, plush sofa meant for munching highway miles. It has to have a noise like spring thunder coming from a big lumpy twin and should drag its pegs at the slightest provocation. So all I can say about this one is “yeh kya mazaak hai bhai?”
Is there anything for a cruiser lover here or is it just a Kawasaki naked bike in a leather jacket?
Hahahahah
Not having a USD fork at this price point is a bummer 😕
But the standard setup works just fine
Yup, Would hv elevated the asthetics.. chonky & beefy.
If this video was a photo, I'd have framed it and put it on the wall 😁
❤️❤️❤️
"Since then time has changed ....and over-the-ear headphones have improved in aesthetics and quality."
bwahahaha
Can you please compare it with super meteor 650
We can sure
A kind request to change the aspect ratio of the videos as that's the only thing lacking while watching them in any device be it a phone or a laptop.
Anything in particular that you are looking at?
Eliminator name best suit for this because due to high price it wl eliminate itself😂
The vibration at 80 , I guess unicorn is certified smooth at 80. So ?? . And The price it asks , I guess it has already eliminated itself from the competition
You can say that!
Da real M'VP'.
👏👏👏
Zx4r review?
Meteor is very heavy 200kg???
The SM or the 350?
How much did you have to pay T-Series and Saregama for using the song from "Alaipayuthey"?
Well….
I don't remember in sathiya was eliminator 😮
Oh yes! Vivek Oberoi rides it in the intro 😃
In early 2000s the eliminator was pretty cool, a dream bike for many, including me. But times have changed, Super Meteor is the new standard in the mid segment cruiser motorcycles. Even though this looks pretty stealth, Varun looks good suited up but that posture doesn’t look cool anymore. To be honest in 2024, 24 years later, the cruiser is now, at best, ELIMINATED!
But Powerdrift, introducing the entire crew post video and giving them full credit, is pretty cool 😎
Good comment 👏👏👏
How come even powerdrift did not a review bike for ninja zx4R?
Because there's no media unit :(
Eliminator or Vulcan S?
yes
Kawasaki KB 100 RTZ was the motorcycle which makes heads turn even today it is such a gem. Nobody can deny it can easily beat RX 100. But this Eliminator is not upto the mark with horrible seats and looks. Seriously they need to hire a good designer.
Thanks for the comment
KB 100 rtz can easily beat Rx100?
Never hear of KB100
Not the right market, features and pricing. This may be to European markets what a 125cc motorcycle is to the Indian market. Hence the pricing issue with us Indians. The 400cc-650cc segment is kind of an aspirational level for Indians. Not this European learner level bike. RE has this covered for now with no real competition.
The problem is CBU. Because the motorcycle feels really nice to ride
Varun was struggling to sell this Eliminator. For sure this will be eliminated from the list of bikes by an Indian. Cruisers are never a success in Indian Roads. Too pricey
Well, we don’t “sell” motorcycles, we “review” them 😄
Plus no motorcycle in the world is perfect nor is it built completely wrong. We find the balance and give credit where its due ❤️
Nah man, He low key said Super Meteor would be a better fit for many people. I feel he’s trying to review it fairly.
I will pick super meteor
Here we go
Ill buy bajaj motorcycles
When theyll make avanger with triumph 400 engine
That will never happen to be honest
Varun Oberoi
😂😂😂
There is an ADV hidden in this chassis!
Hahaha not really.
Looks like rebel
Yes it does
More than 5 lakhs? Noooooo
Also the pillion seat is a big problem and unpractical for family guys.
Yes and yes
You've got to be kidding Kawasaki .. In a growing automobile market such as India where the likes of Harley and Triumph (although through collabs) are trying their best to reward the Indian 2 wheeler enthusiasts with budget-friendly yet amazingly performing bikes, YOU come in to cash in on just a nostalgic name , a 450 ish CC engine and pricing it around 6lac INR. you are either sleep deprived or in deep REM sleep. With the mighty monsters: the 650 twins , an all purpose Himalayan from RE, the X440 (for just INR 3.5 LAC) and triumph 400 brothers no one's gonna buy this elephant you've introduced.
I mean what segment are you catering ? If someone can afford this eliminator at 6Lac, he most probably will have an extra ~lac for the full fledged Vulcan S. Jaago Kawasaki Jaago, and hire better strategists.
Appreciate the comment but lets not forget they are absolutely smashing the big bike segment. Look at the number of 10Rs and Z900s on the road.
@@powerdriftofficial of course their whole lineup is amazing and a Kawasaki makes you feel premium. But I just dont get the slot they've tried to place the eliminator at, like its place in the spectrum makes little sense
Yeah. This one feels a bit off@@pbhushanbsb
7.1 L on road price ..total madness
Yup! Expensive
Eliminator is back!!! but looks like it didn't make its mark...
For us, it does in a lot of ways but it also does not in some ways
80kmph … Classic 350 reborn can cruise whole day without any buzz … 😎
Yeah. Very weird to be honest.
These brands will never understand indian market and mindset. Poor thing , this will also vanish in thin air before we see some on the roads
The CBU route is a problem
Only problem.
And what could that be?
Am I the only one who thinks that this resembles the HD 440X
Because of the paint scheme we think
Indians: Please bring the Eliminator back. 🙏
Kawasaki: We will bring the Eliminator back, but you won't be able to buy one. 😈
You need deep pockets!
Okay so a cruiser which isn't good on the highway but is better in the city with a 5lakh plus exshowroom price tag. No thank you!
Sport cruiser is why!
@@powerdriftofficial so basically a jack of both trades.
This is ridiculous. A vstrom 250 sx has more practicality and road presence than this and that’s a very awkwardly put together motorcycle. At that ex showroom price you are in the ballpark of the Honda 500 twin as well. Why do Japanese companies get their pricing so wrong in the Indian market. This juncture a used meteor 350 makes way more sense because, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, it has better vibration damping.
Its not awkward at all. The 250 is a brilliant product :)
Liked only for humdam suniyo re
Lets gooo!
Will not work in Indian market... doesn't make sense here..as of now
Yeah. Too filtered a buying decision
I don't know why I don't like the design, RE 650 twins are far better looking than this Kawasaki IMO
The finish is really nice though
you are absolutely correct .
I'm sorry to say this but i would like a Bajaj Avenger 400 under the same skin... It would be an amazing ripoff... 🤣😇
No,not at all 😂😂plus they are 4 now, not twins
@@kostinarain7373 , I think the Twin means the twin cylinder trims
Too costly. Second hand Vulcan 650 are cheaper.
What are they retailing at now?
yha pr kisi ne gyaan nhi pela .. ki usd forks hone chahiye they😅 …

Yup. Expensive

huh
Too expensive... I'll pass.
Yeah. Expensive for sure
imagine running a marriage bureau on youtube with women walking on ramp and same level of editing. don't do drugs.
What the what
ayein!?!?
overpriced 😅
CBU is why
Dead on arrival
well it look like just another "generic cruiser" nothing special in looks..
It actually looks quite smashing in person. Credit that to the paint scheme
@@powerdriftofficial is the Eliminator available here in white colour which they do have for Japan, US, UK market ? it looks much better in white paint scheme than all-black
Kitna cheap lag rha hai, bike nahi, tumhara video.
Aree aisa kyu bol rahe hooo
Let's see😅
Huh???
