- Greatsword of Solitude is one of new unique weapons from Elden Ring DLC.
It's rather simple armament with amazing Weapon Skill called "Solitary Moon Slash" - one of few Ashes of War in the game that has ability to true combo into neutral r1.
I use a High Poise Strength Build to take full advantage of the weapon and its kit.

It is comforting to see that even gamers like Steel have to work their ass off to get a victory in invasions. Makes me feel like less of a shitter
Invasions have never been as difficult as they are in Elden Ring. No matter how bad someone is at the game, you have to respect their L2 button 💀
It's mostly 'cause he's trying to make content with a mediocre weapon. He could switch to some ultra meta setup and shit on some of these people a lot faster.

In invasions if you cant onshot its not good, solitude has big ar and useful ashe but its not like old storm hawk or bft where you press l2 on overly aggressive noobs and win, which means the noobs can just aggress on you and thats normally how invaders lose. Best thing going for it is trades and if you want that claymore has thrust counter so thats probably still better even with like 150(idk the real number) ar difference @rigel9228

So basically it has a quicker version of vacuum slice that combos into a follow up or R1. Devastatingly simple great sword.
steel of sky, the DLC added warming stones that heal more for just 4 FP- try using those instead of the base warming stone, I think the added regen is better for the low cost increase

That first missed attempt at the combo was because you threw the fan daggers too fast and they got hit stun degradation
i think this weapon has very good AR and A scaling with strength so even without the ash it hits like a truck. really fun weapon tbh.
I didn’t even consider that you could unlock from an opponent to turn a dagger throw into a headshot during a combo. 😮 I throw daggers all the time between my attacks. I’ve gotta get to practicing!
I have found an cool combo u can true combo the aow into an r 1 and then do an uncharged r2 for an rollchatch if they roll amidietly you will catch them half the time or u delay the r2 for a sec then it can hit them if they dont roll amidietly

there's a delay between the crouch attack and the fan dagger if you wanna hit the true combo

@@rigel9228 nah you gotta do like 25-30 faith/int and then like 60 int/faith.
I do 25 faith (so I can get all heal and a few buffs) then do 60 int at lvl 150
I use low dex and strength bc I use PSSS which have low reqs

Every time i watch either steel or chase, i look at the opposition and instantly feel like "no, there's no chance he'll clear out this mob". And every time he does. I know, probably most of these clips are chosen victories to showcase the build / weapon etc, but i just keep on thinking "does he ever die!?" =D
As someone who recently got into invading I believe in the opposite, I think he cuts out the easy wins, people with super low vigor teams that rush you after you spawn even tho you still are invincible,people that just rush into your ice storm blackflame tornado or carian grandeur, people that just get one shot by sword dance because vigor isn’t important.
That’s like 40%of all invasions and it’s not that interesting to watch.

Bro I just can’t with blind spot and swift slash I can kinda roll out of swift cause I’m a light player but it still sucks cause I can still get caught and they just have to keep pressing L2 same with blind spot just spam the button when the other person attacks and get value

but after dlc there is no meed to use healing shield if you are not moving. you can use heal from afar on any build it heals 628 on 18 faith.

@MarcelMuller-yf5rh Well, they just got a poise damage nerf before the dlc, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a buff, and if they do, it will be very specific straight swords not all of them. I would love a buff to them to do a sword and board build, but the way they nerffed them in base game and then again before the dlc I doubt we'll see one I'll be very surprised if they get a buff.

it's game mechanic. and it's very unfair for people who don't drop or receive items. for example you invade and boom you are scarlet rotted. have fun with that.
