- The Village Defence Party in collaboration with Assam Police on August 28 busted a drug cartel in Lahorijan and seized over Rs. 10 lakhs cash and 50 grams of Sunflower Drugs from the suspected house of Bajrang Shah, Hasina Begum. Reportedly, the land owner who is known as Ansari has given rent to the peddlers where the public around alleged that Ansari is also involved in the cartel. It has been reported that Ansari is having a business of plastic materials in the New Market area of Dimapur district. The raid was led by Bokajan SDPO, John Das and arrested the peddlers and has launched the investigation to dig out how many are involved in the drug cartel at Lahorijan.
Lahorijan, Assam is an immediate neighbour of Nagaland and has been playing a major role in turning Nagaland into Drug Marsh. Few months ago, NLTV did a special report from Lahorijan against the drug consumption and from where it is coming or who is mostly influenced with it, shockingly the youths of Nagaland are found highly addict of SF drug

Nagaland has been experiencing a total black-out for sometime due to total corruption. Bootlegging and drug-peddling has become the only profitable business at the moment..... It looks so grim. 😭😭😭
True. Utter corruption starts from the villagers who take money for votes. They elect corrupt politicians who are hell bent to consume anything that comes their way. Development stops totally as projects start and stop at the initial stages as funds are siphoned off. Unemployment increases, youths find themselves in hopeless and futureless situations and they turn to drugs. Somebody has to explain to the grassroot level people that they are the main cause of corruption, hopelessness and drug abuse in the society.

Drugs addicts are an ill people,we should not discriminate them instead we are responsible for their life what measures to quit.,
Administrative or police should not be harsh to addicts seriously they are very ill...we should encourage them positively by sponsoring detoxification detox camp,give knowledge of rehabilitation centre,by providing addition lesson....no one stuck into addiction knowingly keep in mind.
There's a certain reasons among each and every addicts so, let's pray for them..

Greedy people have spread its cultivation from the south to the east to the west to the north for easy money on the cost of the forest.
Not all 100% areas, but like 40 to 50% areas and I think this is also one of the main points in Manipur tension.
A person earning crores and crores will never stop supplying drugs, it's not easy to stop them unless the govt sends special forces to investigate and stop the drug cartels.

Drug problem can never be rooted out of Naga society completely unless the penalty is death for the dealers and users to some extent like in the Philippines or either our society provides the best rehabs and counseling programs with modern medicines, doctors, psychologists and technology etc like in Portugal without punishment as such. I'm also a junkie so I'll be happy to be the first to be executed if I'm beyond redemption (not prison sentence or public humiliation, direct death) or either be provided with all the care and love from the doctors, psychologists and benefits from modern science n technology in rehabs n counseling programs. Both seems impractical n unachievable in our Naga society. As of now I have to take care of my siblings and family as I'm an important if not the sole bread winner of my family.

Those drugs smugglers are so cunning that we won't be able to catch them so easily pr redhanded. In such a situation polices must try to foil an attempt by pretending as customers.. Soft way to get arrested plus polices or army will very early be promoted to higher rank.
