I would say recreate not reheat a style of music, if that makes any sense. Then again, I don't have any experience with producing music. However, if you really think about it, all of today's dance music, no matter what genre it is, and so long as it has the 4/4 kicks, is really a derivative of disco.
Very "avant garde", I didn't even know there was such a genre, it sounds like your typical electro progressive house music, yet that appeared almost a decade later

Synth driven Disco. Electro does not use octave bass and 4/4 beat. Nothing House
which use TR 808 909 which came years later
