I first visited Lake Como via Switzerland on my way home to the North West of England on my motorbike,over 50 years ago and have never forgotten it, I have been back many times, but that first time will never leave me.

Don't know what I liked most in this video. I loved the genuine affection when Carolyne leaned into Brian in the hotel. I did not see any ice-cream in Bellagio. I thought you were all going to get some. {Ice-creams}. I was worried that Carolyne had got booked for speeding. Tricked again. Lucky you do not have to have someone walking in front of the bikes with a flag or a lantern these days huh. I am always disappointed that you have to worry about noise. Your bikes always sound so lovely I could listen to them all day. This has really been a great trip with amazing mountain scenery. I do wish we had much more mountains and valleys here in Australia and bigger ones too. I like much of what we have but it seems like you are in them and through them in no time at all. No series of mountain passes one after the other like you have there. I did not notice the Asian lady. Was she there and I just missed her? So glad to hear Carolyne again while riding. I would have loved the drone footage you could not get due to the airport were it possible. Always love Brian's drone footage. The world looks nicer from a little distance and height. Stay safe both of you. {All of you actually.} Been a lovely trip so far with you all. Sorry it is nearing an end but all good things must end sometime or they would all be mundane things like every other day. See you again soon.

As soon as the drone went up into the air I had a height limitation and a request to verify my permit to fly in the airspace. I dont have a commercial pilot licence. Icecreams were good and very yummy but sadly like most of the footage it ends up on the editing floor
My friend panicked and drove straight through an Italian motorway toll gate (one of those you're supposed to have an electronic pass for so it has no physical gate) without paying while driving my car, and the fine came in the mail two years later. And the sum was something ridiculous like 16€!

Hello, once again great video!!! Honestly though, do not worry too much about the noisy bikes. They are not illegal because they are older than current euro 5 regulations. Honestly, I never had real problems: they stopped me dozens of times, they said the bike was loud but I never got a ticket. They just told to go slowly!!! Oh, by the way, real arancini are only from Sicily!!! You could go there sometimes....

I recommend the roads on the other side of Lake Como (past Olgiasca, towards Varenna), as they're far less busy. You can take the motorway for a bit too if you want to make progress, then the small roads are far less busy as there's less people overall on that side, and the motorway empties most of the cars from the smaller roads. The roads are smaller and sometimes a bit worse and slow to go through all the villages. Then for example at Varenna you can take the ferry over to see some tourist spots. Varenna is my favorite base at Como, or actually a small village just above Varenna. Much less busy than the other side of the lake and Varenna still has a lot of good restaurants, some parks and villas to see etc. And the main thing is that it has great access in all directions. Several different destinations you can choose with the ferries from one spot.
Was the petrol really much more expensive in Switzerland? The last two times I’ve visited Switzerland, the last time was last week, petrol prices were cheaper there although diesel was much more expensive. When I was in Italy I went into Switzerland to buy cheaper petrol. Are you sure it wasn’t simply the prices given in two different currencies?
Switzerland was definitely more expensive than most, Luxembourg was the cheapest. But yes I agree the change from euro to Swiss Francs made the prices seem higher

I will be traveling 18/6 to the 120th Harley Event in Budapest! On the return trip I'll ride through Slovenia, Dolomites and Switzerland.... You guys make me want to catch the San Bernadino and Grimsel! By the way, Caro does ride very low in revs, I see? 1100 rpm in 4th gear doesn't seem very nice for the bike to me... nice trip folks!!! It took 360 days for our speeding ticket to get to the doorstep from Italy, not like Luxembourg where it arrived the next day lol
The speeding ticket is in reference to the first ever in 1896, the chap went 8mph
