Craig generally epitomises the Australian approach to life in general. Bring it when you have to, don't take it to seriously. Even more refreshing, he resists banging on and on about his Jui Jitsu as though its the pinnacle of human accomplishment or some great spiritual awakening. And he's right, outside of BJJ enthusiasts, nobody really GAF. Even pro level ping pong players earn more than Roger Gracie or Gordan Ryan. Speaks volumes.

Lex is right, the fear isn't about losing, it's about embarrassing yourself. And this fear gets bigger and bigger when you change belts. If you're a white belt you're supposed to make mistakes, if you're a brown belt you really don't want to embarrass yourself being manhandled by another man in front of everyone as your jiu-jitsu is nothing. I think this is one of the main reasons many people compete in white belts a lot and less in the coloured belts, along with injuries and life's commitments. It is also a key factor in blue belt imposter syndrome
