Gotta say, I had the EQ and hated the fact that it had to media control to skip music, I even made a presentation in my uni about the EQ's describing this issue and that it should be updated, happy you fixed the issue! And now I got the EX yesterday and they are way better fit than the EQ with the same top tier sound signature.
can you please do an upgrade for the app? especially with the eq setting, please make an option or add the oldschool graph eq. i need the oldschool graph eq setting🙏🏻
I just got these EX bad boys and already own the EQ. And I have to say.. these sound INCREDIBLY INSANE 😱 not only is it louder, but the bass is brutal and soundstage is so much deeper and fuller!! Comfort is far superior to the EQ. So light that I can’t even feel them in my ears. I was just jogging around and no signs of movement whatsoever! The pictures don’t do justice, because these look STUNNING in real life 🔥

Hi sir !! If you compare the EX with the B&W pi7 or the sony xm4, which one has better bass? Better sound quality? And finally, i have the nuratrue and the momemtum 3 from Sennheiser, those one are my favorite, if you have them, how do you compare the EX against them? If you want to play music at low volume and still get the FULL RANGE, this is your Earbud. At any level, the depth, crisp highs and vocals are phenomenal. Well done B&O.

Just got these and WOW they are really superb. The sound quality is soo crystal clear with a loud soundstage and bass. You can actually hear the little nuances in song when the volume is turned up. The only thing that bothers me is messing with the app and that because certain songs sound amazing with specific settings but if you have money to spend it's definitely worth it This is coming from someone who is a fan of airpods and bose qc 35 ii/earbuds so this is a big upgrade for me.
@@marioalvarado3082 I don't own the Airpod Pro's but i do have the Bose QCII earbuds and if your main focus is ANC then i would suggest you try those out. ANC is on another level with the Bose but the EX's sound quality will drown out any environmental sounds as well just not like the QCII's.

@@marioalvarado3082 I have the Bose QCII and they are terrible. Noise canceling dont work, if you only use 1 Earbud. Either you cant change the mode to silent. You have to put both in your ear. For example, you are at home, get a call. You dont need both earbuds everytime. You put 1 in your ear and you still hear noise. Other example, you are in your bed and hear an audiobook and lie on the side. So 1 ear is free, otherwise you heart your ear, cause it press on the pillow. So, cause you have 1 earbud, you hear the noise in the earbud especially loud, cause its absolut quiet in your room. So, for me, calling this Bose QCII noise cancelation is a joke. I never heard a headphone with so much noise.

@@michaelmarquez6133 i think they are really worth the money, especially when i got mine there was a promotion and i got a free B&O wireless charging pad. Remember to use a hifi music streaming app and im pretty sure you'll enjoy it. Try to listen to some classics / old recordings like the beatles / the white stripes and you can hear how detailed the analog recording sounds in your ears. Enjoy!
Mine arrived yesterday and my MTW1’s (more nostalgic than anything at this point) and Soundcore Pros immediately hit the garbage. I’m not even sure I have a need for the EQ’s now. These are definitely an audiophiles dream (that’s the only type of person that’s gonna pay for this quality) but the design and sound is on point. Wasn’t interested in the MTW3’s coz I just couldn’t get excited about the design. Too plain and simple. Great review as always Floss. I don’t even care about all that other stuff (;anc, transparency etc.) all I care is about is loudness and bass. Best headphones I’ve ever owned to date and yes way more comfortable than the eq’s. A definite win!

Well, I watched and read many reviews for so many earbuds, but I think your reviews sealed it for me. Picked up a set of the Beoplay EX. I tried all the big brands first, as I was shy about the price for the EX. But man, for music these are miles above the Sony, Bose Jabra, Soundcore etc. Sound quality is phenomenal and finally there's a manufacturer that puts a quality amplifier in these little things making them more detailed and play at a higher volume. The ANC and phone calls work, but are meh. But for musical listening, these are extraordinary. Thanks Flossy!
Well done as always Floss. I have to add another value to this video. After 1.5yrs with these buds I had an issue with the left buds proximity sensor. B&O customer service is impeccable...I shipped back on their dime and my new set is being delivered back to me in 1 week. Lets be real, that's from 🇨🇦 to the 🇺🇲 and back to 🇨🇦 in 7 days! Put aside the amazing sound of these buds...B&O's customer service is a MAJOR...MAJOR... MAJOR... GO!!! 😉
I got the EQ last year almost as soon as it came out and AB'd against a bunch of others and was convinced that this was the "endgame" ANC earbuds I was looking for although it had its shortcomings. The recent firmware update to get the much needed skip/back function seemed to seal its status but now this comes out to address some of the EQ's other shortcomings. Haha. The main criteria for me is - and always will be - sound quality and the improved bass and being able to turn up as loud as I'd ever need it to is convincing enough to make another splurge. I've never been a fan of the AirPods stem design but it must have its practical uses as well as reducing the size of the casing for a more comfortable fit. I never had a problem with the EQ's size or comfort but always felt that this could be improved. To get a much larger driver in there while improving the comfort is definitely worth the upgrade. And, yes, when Flossy says it's the "New King", I take that seriously. I'm on the waiting list for the Black Anthracite that will become available in early-June. Can't wait!

Sound is similar but you have single tap option instead of the double tap on the Eq, other than the tap and fit it’s primarily the same. I actually have both and like these better. I had issues with my Eq after I updated them. I didn’t get the option to triple tap for track skipping and previous. This happened on like 4 different Eq.

So I have had these for a while now and first, there are a few times were the connection like cuts out and while it's cool that they connection to 2 different devices, if I have then connected to both my phones and I get a notification on one the music will cut out. So every time I use them I have to disconnect them from whatever phone I'm not planning on using. But I will day that these are incredible! I can hear sounds from the music I normally wouldn't hear. I also have the buds pro 2 just got them and those are good too. Obviously not as good as the Beoplay EX right, but to spend twice the amount that's hard for me to recommend. That being said if I could go back in time and decide to order these, hell yeah I would, idk I just personally like them I just don't like paying so much. I also saw right now that the Bowers and Wilkins PI 7 are on sale right now for 289 bucks and those are supposed to be really good as well, so just saying there are options. I am tempted to get then haha but I spend too much on electronics as it is you know, but I just want to try it all!
Just bought these, can confirm the bass is impressive and even more so if you change the EQ. ANC could be better and multi-point order list would be great; I think these can be fixed with feedback and improved making these earbuds truly perfect.
I’ve been using this for a week now and these goooooooo! Dumb loud, single tap instead of double tap on the Beoplay eq. I’m getting another pair of the gold ones when they come out! These sound really good! The anc is meh but the sound is great! These fit way better than the Eq! I wished they would have focus on ANC more and better battery life this maybe the Bluetooth of the year for me because of the sound and multipoint.
You must be rich if you are going to buy the exact same buds in two different colours. How is the bass on the EX vs EQ with the setting on maximum bass in the app?

So I went and bought the EX. At 1st, I was like, "it's alright." I just have to get used to the sound. Well, the problem was I didn't have them in properly. And when I did, OMG!!!! The sound is loud and just perfect lol So thanks once again you've come through 🙌🏾🖖🏾👽
Most goosebumps, feels, favorite sounding buds. Great battery life. Great fit and stay in ear extremely well. Really comfortable. Loud enough for me. Great bass with right eq setting and tips. Take way too long to connect to app. App is so so. Noise canceling is bad, I don't agree it's top tier, and I did update and try different tips (settled on comply). Love them, they are my favorite, but look elsewhere for noise canceling.
You sure you have the ANC on high? There’s no way you can say these have bad anc bro, read any review on these, literally nobody that says they aren’t extremely good.
@@FlossyCarter Yeah, I had on adaptive but changed to max. I'm used to my Bose QC with large tips. Maybe I need to try different tips, but I thought the comply would be best. I was in my gym where they have music loud and people talking a lot, but my Bose handle that great, my M&D are worse than B&O. The sound is so far superior and comfort is great too, so these are still my favorite. I did listen to a lot of the reviews and at least one other dude called the ANC "trash". I don't agree with that, but at my gym they definitely aren't great. Maybe with airplane and fan noise and such, but at least my experience with loud voices and music are not good. I'll try other tips and give it more experimentation. Thanks bro!

I knew these would bump the EQ, they are phenomenal.. The EQ are amazing, but these just address all my slight niggles. They are so comfortable and next level on the sound. Not sure if it was an issue on the US version, but the EQ couldn’t get that loud, the EX don’t have that issue. They are definitely worth the upgrade 👍
So the ex are louder? One of the biggest complaints of the eq appears to be the maximum volume. How does the sound compare to the eq, would you say it has better lower frequencies with the larger driver?
Definitely louder, at full volume they’re bordering way too loud, where I always wanted more from the EQ. Sound i personally think is improved too, it’s the same signature, but just seems a bit fuller and effortless in the lower frequencies. Side by side, I would say they’re just altogether better imo.
@@martincater3691 thanks for your thoughts. The volume was my biggest concern and the fit for gym, but it seems both those issues have been resolved so time to make a purchase I think.
Is there a chance that you could compare the sound volume with Sennheiser's buds? I, personally, own CX 400. But I guess that loudness is pretty much the same across Sennheiser's lineup.
Brilliant review, you had me in stitches. One aspect of these headphones is the wind reduction feature, which does not work properly. Having bought these headphones and used them in the street, the wind tear is a major achilles heal. If there’s a breeze blowing, these headphones are unusable. I contacted B&O about this and they instructed me to re-install the App and reset the headphones. Alas, this did not solve the problem. So if you want to use these buds outside when the wind is blowing forget it. If you need to use them on your bike for directions in Transparency mode, no chance, you’ll whip them out before the wind tear makes you deaf.
Pretty much any bud with an ambient mode does this. I have Samsung buds and it's the same thing. If there's a breeze and it's on any sensitivity besides low it will hurt your ears.

Just ordered these, and the airpods pro 2. Had the EQs and the sound was nothing but quality. The fit could have been a lot better. Excited for that better fit that I longed for. The airpods were just for fun. Just saw your review on them. Lol.

Imo the ANC on the Sennheisers is a big step up as I wasn't impressed by the ones here. I've also had connection issues with my s21 ultra. I liked the touch controls of the momentums better as well. I can deal with the things mentioned above simply because the sound quality and comfort/fit is absolutely best in class for me. Flossy never lets me down! These deserved a quad major go imo lmao
I have no connection problems with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, so it's your phones fault, these buds are Bluetooth 5.2 not 5.1 so it's time to update your phone, I do every year and then don't get these problems 🤣
Sennheiser 3s after the update I get a buzzing sound on anc mode. And the left ear buds plays louder the left. I don't recommend Sennheiser for long term.

Hi Floss! Amazing review! I got my Beoplay EX a few weeks ago and love how they fit and sound! The only concern is the wear sensor; each earphone is equipped with a wear sensor and automatically cuts its power when removed, without pausing music playback; I thought the music should pause when removing them. I'll appreciate your feedback.

Got these after watching this review. I love love love the EX. Coming from trying out AirPods Pro 2, XM4 (earbuds) and both XM4 and XM5 (headphones), Beoplay EX is what I am keeping. For some reason, both AirPods and XM4 hurt my ears like crazy after less than 2 hours of wearing. Yes the transparency mode's magical, the ANC's out of the world, but the sound quality (AirPods, too much digital processing) and comfort (Sony, still too bulky) didn't work for me. I would have no use of those good features if my ears can't take them in the first place. Among them all, XM5 was the best, but still gave me crown of the head fatigue (and sweaty ears because the ear cuffs were too shallow) after 4 hours, and no water resistance at all was a bummer. And the speak feature bothered me a lot, because i hummed along with music / shows a lot, the playback just got interrupted too often. As for these EX, the sound quality in terms of detail, clarity, instrument separation is above them all. I do not like bass or any of the genres relating to that, and mainly listen to classical music, live recordings and vocals with acoustics. These render the trebles really well so the strings really stand out. As for ANC, I can't stand super strong ANC (the Sonys were crazy, i couldn't hear shit on the street where motorbikes flew by) because of that sucked-out chamber-like pressure on my ears. With the Comply foam tips, the passive noise isolation on the EX is already enough for me. Everything feels natural, comfortable, gentle and lightweight with super premium exterior. Only 100 bucks more than the AirPods Pro 2, I can't see why not.
@@rudy9895 Which have you decided to pick up? Almost 6 months in, still in love. During these months i fell down the rabbit hole of wired IEMs. And after getting several mid-fi good iems, these EX buds still hold their place even if they connect with bluetooth in terms of sound quality. A side update, i changed the eartips from comply foam to Final Audio Type-E for TWS, the comfort is out of this world, i can wear them for 7 hours straight, charge them up in the case for while and good to go again. And sound quality is improved (yes, even better than before), the comply tips dulls the sound a lot and make it darker and clouded. Type-E tips bring up clarity and volume.

I am used to the sound signature of airpod pro 2, so should getting the ex be any issue? Also for fit, Airpod pro 2 fits me well. In comparison would the EX be any different from Airpod pro 2s fit?

I have been to n local B&O store and tried all of the headphones and the EX are the pick of the bunch. I was incredibly disappointed with the HX and H95 which seem vastly over priced, but the EX were the best for sound quality.
Bought the BO EX like 4 days ago, after having my right earbud of Sennhiser TWS 2 break down (in over two years of using them). The sound is clearly better in all aspects (bass, vocals, all of it), although the Senn TWS 2 did provide a better ANC. I use them a lot when riding my motorcycle, and the TWS 2 shut the entire world off, while the BO EX only does that to 95% lets say (which is still great, I barely hear a thing, yet the Sennheisers did a slight better job in this regard). The daily activities like car driving, gym, walking really make no difference in terms of ANC, yet the sound difference is much more noticeable. I believe it is worth copping them if you're an audiophile and you're ok on funds. If you're on a budget, I suggest u grab the Sennheisee TWS 2 (not 3, as they are more expensive) and I bet you won't regret it. Stay listening folks! Bonus: the EX has a 2 year warranty by default, and using their app grants you one year more, as you connect the earbuds, which is cool. No need to pay for extended. Atleast that :p

Just for the curious out there, those earbuds aren't called E-Q and E-X, those letters represent numerals, E9 and E10, which completely makes sense because the previous model was E8.

I'm like Floss, personally not a massive fan of the stem look however there's just something about these that makes me want to try a pair one day. I don't like the plugged feeling you get with most earbuds, so perhaps these are more comfortable and give less of a plugged feeling compared to the EQ's and other brands

The designs on the EX look more classy (trendy) you left out whether you can run with them (I'm referring to either OR which pair can stay in your ears without detaching or falling off from your ears ) also what is their capacity in waterproofing , for me to buy a pair of either one of those I would extended their warranty to an extra 2yrs so I'm thinking they would perhaps go for $499 ($500) with extended warranty depending on where I purchase them from (I checked Best Buy & they don't carry them , so I believe i would have to make it an online purchase)

@@emalior5000 Yes. I received mine last week. They do play louder than EQs ( I've got these as well). The EX solved a couple problems I had with the EQs, but added a couple too. They sound a little different than EQs, but it's not night and day. I think they resolve a little better. The bass is great! Imagine EQs, but... more. I imagine if I had the equalizer set like Flossy has it, it would blow my brain out. :D I've got it in upper right quadrant and the bass is still aplenty.
I’m going with the b&o ex after losing my b&w pi7s. I’ll update you with my honest opinion! Only went with the ex’s bc of flosses opinion, but the PI7s were an experience to listen to, but alittle on the dark side. Main thing I’m looking forward to the ex’s over the PI7s is ease of daily use with wear and comfort, the water proofing rating, and hopefully the more balanced sound. The PI7s were alittle bassy for me but I still loved them and out of all the earbuds I’ve owned they were my favorite.
@@Nate-Aims I noticdt it's rarely mentioned, but these B&O's have also phenomenal BT range! I drive a big truck for living and one day I walked behind my trailer, which is roughly 60-70 feet, and my EQs were still playing strong, with no cutoffs. Every other BT pieces I had before was cutting off or completely disconnect at that point. Now I didn't test it with the EX, and cannot test them any further because I returned mine.
Facts. B&O are world class sounding earbuds. In a league of their own. How people compare Apple to them is like comparing a Toyota Prius to a Rolls Royce. Ridiculous
Great video as always flossy. I got these earlier than your vid but I was always interested to hear your thoughts. Glad my thoughts are the same as yours haha. I’ve sold my EQs to get these. Best decision in my life. I was curious how the 9mm neodymium drivers will deliver vs 6.8mm electro dynamic on the EQs. I was 🤯. On top of what EQs already could deliver, the bass on these guys was punchy and effortless. Freaking good these. And the comfort is really good compare to the EQs. I wasn’t gonna wear the EQs to gym, but these I will wear. Anytime.

@charlesham9830 hello! I received my earphones today and still need to do some "real world" testing but so far: The noise cancelation is not as good as my old Sennheisers. The sound quality is really good! But it's really weirdly quiet? My volume is 3/4ths of the way up to be at "normal" volume for me. Usually, I'm at 1/4 to 1/3.
@ttube786 not markedly over the Sennheisers. I'd say save yourself $100 and get the Sennheiser Momentum 4s. On a side note: I will be seeing if I can get a refund. They keep dropping out and refuse to stay connected. Unacceptable for $400 tech.
Every time I listen to one of your reviews it costs me money. I’m going to have to get me a pair. I love my B&O HX headphones. They know what they’re doing.
I thought the same thing about their bluetooth speakers, then my cousin bought one and came over, goddam it sound so good, my jbl extreme sounds like absolute crap in comparison. Even the bass on the bo is miles better. The jbl has louder bass but it's not really bass it's the passive radiators farting.

Gotta say, I had the EQ and hated the fact that it had to media control to skip music, I even made a presentation in my uni about the EQ's describing this issue and that it should be updated, happy you fixed the issue! And now I got the EX yesterday and they are way better fit than the EQ with the same top tier sound signature.

I just got these EX bad boys and already own the EQ. And I have to say.. these sound INCREDIBLY INSANE 😱 not only is it louder, but the bass is brutal and soundstage is so much deeper and fuller!! Comfort is far superior to the EQ. So light that I can’t even feel them in my ears. I was just jogging around and no signs of movement whatsoever! The pictures don’t do justice, because these look STUNNING in real life 🔥

And finally, i have the nuratrue and the momemtum 3 from Sennheiser, those one are my favorite, if you have them, how do you compare the EX against them? Just got these and WOW they are really superb. The sound quality is soo crystal clear with a loud soundstage and bass. You can actually hear the little nuances in song when the volume is turned up. The only thing that bothers me is messing with the app and that because certain songs sound amazing with specific settings but if you have money to spend it's definitely worth it This is coming from someone who is a fan of airpods and bose qc 35 ii/earbuds so this is a big upgrade for me.
What about ANC, sound is top notch, but ANC sucks true? I mean is the same as air pods pro? ANC that is
@@marioalvarado3082 I don't own the Airpod Pro's but i do have the Bose QCII earbuds and if your main focus is ANC then i would suggest you try those out. ANC is on another level with the Bose but the EX's sound quality will drown out any environmental sounds as well just not like the QCII's.

@@marioalvarado3082 I have the Bose QCII and they are terrible. Noise canceling dont work, if you only use 1 Earbud. Either you cant change the mode to silent. You have to put both in your ear.
For example, you are at home, get a call. You dont need both earbuds everytime. You put 1 in your ear and you still hear noise.
Other example, you are in your bed and hear an audiobook and lie on the side. So 1 ear is free, otherwise you heart your ear, cause it press on the pillow. So, cause you have 1 earbud, you hear the noise in the earbud especially loud, cause its absolut quiet in your room.
So, for me, calling this Bose QCII noise cancelation is a joke. I never heard a headphone with so much noise.

Remember to use a hifi music streaming app and im pretty sure you'll enjoy it. Try to listen to some classics / old recordings like the beatles / the white stripes and you can hear how detailed the analog recording sounds in your ears. Enjoy!

Mine arrived yesterday and my MTW1’s (more nostalgic than anything at this point) and Soundcore Pros immediately hit the garbage. I’m not even sure I have a need for the EQ’s now. These are definitely an audiophiles dream (that’s the only type of person that’s gonna pay for this quality) but the design and sound is on point. Wasn’t interested in the MTW3’s coz I just couldn’t get excited about the design. Too plain and simple. Great review as always Floss. I don’t even care about all that other stuff (;anc, transparency etc.) all I care is about is loudness and bass. Best headphones I’ve ever owned to date and yes way more comfortable than the eq’s. A definite win!

Well, I watched and read many reviews for so many earbuds, but I think your reviews sealed it for me. Picked up a set of the Beoplay EX. I tried all the big brands first, as I was shy about the price for the EX. But man, for music these are miles above the Sony, Bose Jabra, Soundcore etc. Sound quality is phenomenal and finally there's a manufacturer that puts a quality amplifier in these little things making them more detailed and play at a higher volume. The ANC and phone calls work, but are meh. But for musical listening, these are extraordinary.

I got the EQ last year almost as soon as it came out and AB'd against a bunch of others and was convinced that this was the "endgame" ANC earbuds I was looking for although it had its shortcomings. The recent firmware update to get the much needed skip/back function seemed to seal its status but now this comes out to address some of the EQ's other shortcomings. Haha.
The main criteria for me is - and always will be - sound quality and the improved bass and being able to turn up as loud as I'd ever need it to is convincing enough to make another splurge. I've never been a fan of the AirPods stem design but it must have its practical uses as well as reducing the size of the casing for a more comfortable fit. I never had a problem with the EQ's size or comfort but always felt that this could be improved. To get a much larger driver in there while improving the comfort is definitely worth the upgrade.
And, yes, when Flossy says it's the "New King", I take that seriously. I'm on the waiting list for the Black Anthracite that will become available in early-June. Can't wait!

Sound is similar but you have single tap option instead of the double tap on the Eq, other than the tap and fit it’s primarily the same. I actually have both and like these better. I had issues with my Eq after I updated them. I didn’t get the option to triple tap for track skipping and previous. This happened on like 4 different Eq.

So I have had these for a while now and first, there are a few times were the connection like cuts out and while it's cool that they connection to 2 different devices, if I have then connected to both my phones and I get a notification on one the music will cut out. So every time I use them I have to disconnect them from whatever phone I'm not planning on using. But I will day that these are incredible! I can hear sounds from the music I normally wouldn't hear. I also have the buds pro 2 just got them and those are good too. Obviously not as good as the Beoplay EX right, but to spend twice the amount that's hard for me to recommend. That being said if I could go back in time and decide to order these, hell yeah I would, idk I just personally like them I just don't like paying so much. I also saw right now that the Bowers and Wilkins PI 7 are on sale right now for 289 bucks and those are supposed to be really good as well, so just saying there are options. I am tempted to get then haha but I spend too much on electronics as it is you know, but I just want to try it all!

Just bought these, can confirm the bass is impressive and even more so if you change the EQ. ANC could be better and multi-point order list would be great; I think these can be fixed with feedback and improved making these earbuds truly perfect.

My Beoplay EQs developed a fault. Sent to B&O under warranty (2 years) they're replacing them with a new set of EXs. So good customer service as well

I’ve been using this for a week now and these goooooooo! Dumb loud, single tap instead of double tap on the Beoplay eq. I’m getting another pair of the gold ones when they come out! These sound really good! The anc is meh but the sound is great! These fit way better than the Eq! I wished they would have focus on ANC more and better battery life this maybe the Bluetooth of the year for me because of the sound and multipoint.
For $400 they should have every single feature 10/10

Most goosebumps, feels, favorite sounding buds. Great battery life. Great fit and stay in ear extremely well. Really comfortable. Loud enough for me. Great bass with right eq setting and tips. Take way too long to connect to app. App is so so. Noise canceling is bad, I don't agree it's top tier, and I did update and try different tips (settled on comply). Love them, they are my favorite, but look elsewhere for noise canceling.

I was in my gym where they have music loud and people talking a lot, but my Bose handle that great, my M&D are worse than B&O. The sound is so far superior and comfort is great too, so these are still my favorite. I did listen to a lot of the reviews and at least one other dude called the ANC "trash". I don't agree with that, but at my gym they definitely aren't great. Maybe with airplane and fan noise and such, but at least my experience with loud voices and music are not good. I'll try other tips and give it more experimentation. Thanks bro!

I knew these would bump the EQ, they are phenomenal.. The EQ are amazing, but these just address all my slight niggles. They are so comfortable and next level on the sound. Not sure if it was an issue on the US version, but the EQ couldn’t get that loud, the EX don’t have that issue. They are definitely worth the upgrade 👍
So the ex are louder? One of the biggest complaints of the eq appears to be the maximum volume. How does the sound compare to the eq, would you say it has better lower frequencies with the larger driver?
Definitely louder, at full volume they’re bordering way too loud, where I always wanted more from the EQ. Sound i personally think is improved too, it’s the same signature, but just seems a bit fuller and effortless in the lower frequencies. Side by side, I would say they’re just altogether better imo.

Is there a chance that you could compare the sound volume with Sennheiser's buds? I, personally, own CX 400. But I guess that loudness is pretty much the same across Sennheiser's lineup.
Brilliant review, you had me in stitches. One aspect of these headphones is the wind reduction feature, which does not work properly. Having bought these headphones and used them in the street, the wind tear is a major achilles heal. If there’s a breeze blowing, these headphones are unusable. I contacted B&O about this and they instructed me to re-install the App and reset the headphones. Alas, this did not solve the problem. So if you want to use these buds outside when the wind is blowing forget it. If you need to use them on your bike for directions in Transparency mode, no chance, you’ll whip them out before the wind tear makes you deaf.
Pretty much any bud with an ambient mode does this. I have Samsung buds and it's the same thing. If there's a breeze and it's on any sensitivity besides low it will hurt your ears.

Imo the ANC on the Sennheisers is a big step up as I wasn't impressed by the ones here. I've also had connection issues with my s21 ultra. I liked the touch controls of the momentums better as well. I can deal with the things mentioned above simply because the sound quality and comfort/fit is absolutely best in class for me. Flossy never lets me down! These deserved a quad major go imo lmao
I have no connection problems with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, so it's your phones fault, these buds are Bluetooth 5.2 not 5.1 so it's time to update your phone, I do every year and then don't get these problems 🤣
Sennheiser 3s after the update I get a buzzing sound on anc mode. And the left ear buds plays louder the left. I don't recommend Sennheiser for long term.

I got my Beoplay EX a few weeks ago and love how they fit and sound!
The only concern is the wear sensor; each earphone is equipped with a wear sensor and automatically cuts its power when removed, without pausing music playback; I thought the music should pause when removing them.
I'll appreciate your feedback.
They cut ✂️ battery 🔋 usage, too save power on one bud, if you wish to pause ⏸️ playback then remove both buds 👍

The bass and clarity is unmatched!
Got these after watching this review. I love love love the EX. Coming from trying out AirPods Pro 2, XM4 (earbuds) and both XM4 and XM5 (headphones), Beoplay EX is what I am keeping. For some reason, both AirPods and XM4 hurt my ears like crazy after less than 2 hours of wearing. Yes the transparency mode's magical, the ANC's out of the world, but the sound quality (AirPods, too much digital processing) and comfort (Sony, still too bulky) didn't work for me. I would have no use of those good features if my ears can't take them in the first place. Among them all, XM5 was the best, but still gave me crown of the head fatigue (and sweaty ears because the ear cuffs were too shallow) after 4 hours, and no water resistance at all was a bummer. And the speak feature bothered me a lot, because i hummed along with music / shows a lot, the playback just got interrupted too often.
As for these EX, the sound quality in terms of detail, clarity, instrument separation is above them all. I do not like bass or any of the genres relating to that, and mainly listen to classical music, live recordings and vocals with acoustics. These render the trebles really well so the strings really stand out. As for ANC, I can't stand super strong ANC (the Sonys were crazy, i couldn't hear shit on the street where motorbikes flew by) because of that sucked-out chamber-like pressure on my ears. With the Comply foam tips, the passive noise isolation on the EX is already enough for me. Everything feels natural, comfortable, gentle and lightweight with super premium exterior. Only 100 bucks more than the AirPods Pro 2, I can't see why not.

Almost 6 months in, still in love. During these months i fell down the rabbit hole of wired IEMs. And after getting several mid-fi good iems, these EX buds still hold their place even if they connect with bluetooth in terms of sound quality. A side update, i changed the eartips from comply foam to Final Audio Type-E for TWS, the comfort is out of this world, i can wear them for 7 hours straight, charge them up in the case for while and good to go again. And sound quality is improved (yes, even better than before), the comply tips dulls the sound a lot and make it darker and clouded. Type-E tips bring up clarity and volume.

As far as the earbuds go I am not a huge of those stems as well, but at least you can use those for a silicone strap in case you need to take the earbuds out for a brief period.
I have been to n local B&O store and tried all of the headphones and the EX are the pick of the bunch.
I was incredibly disappointed with the HX and H95 which seem vastly over priced, but the EX were the best for sound quality.
Bought the BO EX like 4 days ago, after having my right earbud of Sennhiser TWS 2 break down (in over two years of using them). The sound is clearly better in all aspects (bass, vocals, all of it), although the Senn TWS 2 did provide a better ANC. I use them a lot when riding my motorcycle, and the TWS 2 shut the entire world off, while the BO EX only does that to 95% lets say (which is still great, I barely hear a thing, yet the Sennheisers did a slight better job in this regard). The daily activities like car driving, gym, walking really make no difference in terms of ANC, yet the sound difference is much more noticeable. I believe it is worth copping them if you're an audiophile and you're ok on funds. If you're on a budget, I suggest u grab the Sennheisee TWS 2 (not 3, as they are more expensive) and I bet you won't regret it.

Bonus: the EX has a 2 year warranty by default, and using their app grants you one year more, as you connect the earbuds, which is cool. No need to pay for extended. Atleast that :p

Just for the curious out there, those earbuds aren't called E-Q and E-X, those letters represent numerals, E9 and E10, which completely makes sense because the previous model was E8.

My EQs started making a high pitch sound whenever I connect. I just sent them back for warranty. You are making me want theses Floss.
I'm like Floss, personally not a massive fan of the stem look however there's just something about these that makes me want to try a pair one day. I don't like the plugged feeling you get with most earbuds, so perhaps these are more comfortable and give less of a plugged feeling compared to the EQ's and other brands
Do you own the EQ's? They are a more premium look and feel being that they are metal, not cheaper glass like the EX and they are the same price
Is it worth upgrading from the EQ to these?
The EQs dont really fit my ears all that great.

The designs on the EX look more classy (trendy) you left out whether you can run with them (I'm referring to either OR which pair can stay in your ears without detaching or falling off from your ears ) also what is their capacity in waterproofing , for me to buy a pair of either one of those I would extended their warranty to an extra 2yrs so I'm thinking they would perhaps go for $499 ($500) with extended warranty depending on where I purchase them from (I checked Best Buy & they don't carry them , so I believe i would have to make it an online purchase)

Did the bass improve compared to the B&O EQ? I have the PI7 and research showed me they were better than the EQ for bass for hip hop / rap music.
The bass is insane on these.

@@emalior5000 Yes. I received mine last week. They do play louder than EQs ( I've got these as well). The EX solved a couple problems I had with the EQs, but added a couple too.
They sound a little different than EQs, but it's not night and day. I think they resolve a little better. The bass is great! Imagine EQs, but... more. I imagine if I had the equalizer set like Flossy has it, it would blow my brain out. :D
I've got it in upper right quadrant and the bass is still aplenty.
I’m going with the b&o ex after losing my b&w pi7s. I’ll update you with my honest opinion! Only went with the ex’s bc of flosses opinion, but the PI7s were an experience to listen to, but alittle on the dark side. Main thing I’m looking forward to the ex’s over the PI7s is ease of daily use with wear and comfort, the water proofing rating, and hopefully the more balanced sound. The PI7s were alittle bassy for me but I still loved them and out of all the earbuds I’ve owned they were my favorite.
@@Nate-Aims I noticdt it's rarely mentioned, but these B&O's have also phenomenal BT range! I drive a big truck for living and one day I walked behind my trailer, which is roughly 60-70 feet, and my EQs were still playing strong, with no cutoffs. Every other BT pieces I had before was cutting off or completely disconnect at that point.
Now I didn't test it with the EX, and cannot test them any further because I returned mine.
Man we have to get a camera angles to see maximum shakeage lol.
B&O is always ahead and special.
Facts. B&O are world class sounding earbuds. In a league of their own. How people compare Apple to them is like comparing a Toyota Prius to a Rolls Royce. Ridiculous

I’ve sold my EQs to get these. Best decision in my life. I was curious how the 9mm neodymium drivers will deliver vs 6.8mm electro dynamic on the EQs. I was 🤯. On top of what EQs already could deliver, the bass on these guys was punchy and effortless. Freaking good these. And the comfort is really good compare to the EQs. I wasn’t gonna wear the EQs to gym, but these I will wear. Anytime.

I prefer the design of the EQ also but I have to be honest with myself and admit that the EX fits more comfortably in the ear.

@charlesham9830 hello! I received my earphones today and still need to do some "real world" testing but so far:
The noise cancelation is not as good as my old Sennheisers.
The sound quality is really good! But it's really weirdly quiet? My volume is 3/4ths of the way up to be at "normal" volume for me. Usually, I'm at 1/4 to 1/3.
@ttube786 not markedly over the Sennheisers. I'd say save yourself $100 and get the Sennheiser Momentum 4s.
On a side note: I will be seeing if I can get a refund. They keep dropping out and refuse to stay connected. Unacceptable for $400 tech.

I thought the same thing about their bluetooth speakers, then my cousin bought one and came over, goddam it sound so good, my jbl extreme sounds like absolute crap in comparison. Even the bass on the bo is miles better. The jbl has louder bass but it's not really bass it's the passive radiators farting.
