Geoff has had a rough go of it. I feel bad about the series of things that go wrong for him, and having it displayed for the world also seems to me that it would add another layer. But when he talked about Millie coming over, and his adorable night with her I like to imagine those moments make him happy. That just warms my soul.

I don't agree with that ruuuuule. But I know it's not up to the drivers to decide.
That is a dumb thing to do because I don't trust my neighbors. I would demand the delivery company to give me my package. I would make them drive all the way to my next door neighbor so they can deliver my package correctly.
Wait, if it requires a signature you can't leave it with a neighbor, because you need the person's signature to complete the delivery. What company do you work for?

One of my favorite moments is when Geoff goes to tell a story and laughs before he even starts it.
Yes, gavin, oxygen can be measured non invasively through a detector that goes on your finger.
The look of concern on Jeremy’s face for Geoff at 35:32 and then seeing Michael, concern as well at 35:34 is heart warming
Microtransactions matter in single player because developers like Ubisoft can make the game a grind in order for you to feel like you need to spend money to gain more xp or resources. For example it takes significantly more resources to upgrade items in Odyssey than Origins.
Even worse in Shadow of War. To beat the game, you needed to spend dozens of hours getting a bunch of legendary orc commanders which you could basically buy through lootboxes. Fuck microtransactions. They have no place in games period.
If they add something to sell you that isn't cosmetic... they did something to the game to make you think about buying it. Why would you buy leveling boosters if leveling was already easy? Make it 3 times as grindy and see the sales of microtransaction go up for even 1% of players still equals millions. They are trying to convince you the boosters are something you need, by rigging the game that way.

The problem with microtransactions in single player is the game is balanced to players will buy them. Unity pulled this, Shadow of War too.

Fallout 4 achievement the Nuclear Option is the Minutemen ending. I remember and checked because I'm going to 100% Fallout 4
For the conversation around @1:23:30 ish - the simple past form is either "dove" (mainly American English) or "dived" (mainly British English), but the past participle is "dived". You'd say "I have dived", not "I have dove". So it'd be "I haven't dived into it yet."
Michael is absolutely correct about the batteries and the screws. Children laugh at the screws while they find something else to choke on and poison themselves with. But the companies don't do it to try and keep your kid alive. They do it so when your kid dies, it's not their fault and they aren't liable.

my thing with single player microtransactions is if the game is being balanced (or unbalanced as the case may be) to make it more likely for people to buy them. Don't make a game more grindy to get people to get double xp, for example. Other than that, I at best might roll my eyes at them lol.

re Jackbox suitability, yes, Patently Stupid has a lot of 'sit and wait for you guys doing stuff on your phones', but as the video seems to have proved, the results are worth it.
Personally my favourite Jackbox game ever is Tee K.O. but even playing it there's a ton of waiting around for people to draw and come up with slogans, and there's one phase that's super important, I think matching the shirts to the slogans where it's not obvious you have a selection of shirts and slogans to scroll through, and if you don't it all falls apart but it also gives you the least time and a fairly small selection of the overall input to pick from.
I think if you played like 3 or 4 games of Tee K.O., made sure everyone knew all the rules rather than going in blind as is the usual Let's Play approach, and edited it down to just the results, not bothering to vamp/talk over drawing/writing phases but just concentrating on making funny stuff on your phones, cut that bit from the video and make one video of a few games worth of results it'd work great.
Any episode with Geoff is a good one
