I've got a cool trick to share: _zipper distortion_
Take a compressor and shorten the attack/release to their fastest times. Next, turn the ratio all the way up and the threshold all the way down. Now crank the output gain (use a safety limiter!) and slowly raise the threshold until it sounds good to you. Experiment with all the settings at your disposal, every compressor works a little different but Ableton's stock comp is a good one for this.

Thing with compressed sine is nuts! I like adding extra texture to the sound and it is great to have this trick in your arsenal.

Didnt pay my serum bill this month and didn't really know my way around vital other than the basics, but can create crazy sounds with serum but this video gave me inspiration to try doing more with vital

@Letsynthesize Personally I do a lot of my bass design with Current so I love finding new techniques in there. Other than that, I love learning new workflow tips (whether it be in Ableton or a synth or when drum programming or even in project/sample management. Cheers!

@@Letsynthesize Yeah kinda, I began using it on growls to add texture and a more "guttural" feel to them, it also makes sounds more "unstable" if you apply them to the full spectrum. Overall very useful :)
