Great interview and great idea Dad !!! I really enjoy Brian's experience and how he's always got a story that's relevant to Haiden's circumstances. I remember so well, the birth of Free Style, X-Games, The Metal Mulisha, that Riverside "look" (Bro's) and the Etnies shoes and everything that Brian helped pioneer.....Now to see his Son follow in his footsteps, albeit in a more traditional way, is just outstanding. If any Dad's out there takes or took their Son(s) racing, you understand Brian and Haiden's relationship / interactions and should be enjoying the heck out of watching their journey's to the Top.
I’m 35 and Brian was a hero for me in high school. So it’s really cool now to follow along with his son Haiden. I’m pulling for Haiden all the way in 250’s. 450’s let’s go Jett! But yea old school freestyle was a culture I just gravitated to. I appreciate what the Deegans have done for this sport. Love Haiden is on a Yamaha!!
Whenever Haiden gets his first championship win I sure hope he ghost rides that bike through the finish line. That would be incredible and be a defining moment in my life to remind me how damn old I am getting. One of the coolest families to share their life with us and build an incredible history in one the greatest sport ever. YOU GUYS ARE ONE CONSISTENT GNARLY FAMILY! Watching Haiden take off the way he is after being a huge fan of Brian 15-20 years ago to now is weirdly nostalgic and I totally dig it.

Remembering this is still his first year, and the Lawrence bro's are on another level, so some learning curve but Haiden will do well, no question.

try a 80Hz or 100Hz low cut filter this will take the heavy bass out of your voice. curtains and a tall thick carpet will stop the reverb echo sound, vocal mics always use an 80Hz low cut filter. fantastic supercross little deegan. we need more riders with grit. fans like how you dont let anyone push you around. when they ask how you are feeling in a pre race interview say im feeling DANGEROUS!
How incredible would it be to grow up as a kid with Brian as your dad and coming out the whom racing anything with wheels on it and never have to worry about money or stress about lower/middle class problems and get to do what you liked to do for fun and do it for a career!! Cool interview. That was a nice post season wrap up. Great strategizing with the less is more approach to giving info and expectations. Having to back up words is an unnecessary way of getting in your own head. I'm with you guys. Keep the pressure to yourself and let your actions speak. I think Haiden is ready for the pressure and expectations now. He has been perfectly prepped for the spotlight and now feeds off it. Being able to feed on pressure is a different breed of competitor. I think that's Haiden. I'll tell Haiden like my late older brother (natural causes) told me coming up...Don't think anyone can beat you if you have to fight. Basically, if you're going to fight, don't go into it thinking the other guy is better than you for any reason. Otherwise, you accept the "L" before giving yourself a chance at the greatness of defying the odds. That "size of the fight in the dog" can always give an edge. And truthfully, at the rate Haiden progresses, there's absolutely no way of saying who can beat him pound for pound. No limits. Just planning and executing. Fear no one. Ps: they already fear you.
You know, what is the biggest surprise is not the speed or necessarily the podiums but the mental stability and clarity as well as the physical fitness. Hayden doesn't seem to go through the whole rookie head case year or 2 and the kid is in shape!! I've never seen him panting and gasping for air after even the National motos!!! He just rides like a veteran already. Plus, he's always been a naturally good starter. From mini's all the way up to pro, he's always up there at the start and given the speed and mental strength he has, I forsee a crazy awesome future....
Haiden will be one of a few riders to win a supercross championship and then follow it up with a outdoor pro motocross championship in the same year. Mark my words .

Motocross races are on big outdoor "national" tracks, Supercross are on smaller tracks usually in football or baseball stadiums.
And longer motos,rougher tracks imo.

You know, what is the biggest surprise is not the speed or necessarily the podiums but the mental stability and clarity as well as the physical fitness. Hayden doesn't seem to go through the whole rookie head case year or 2 and the kid is in shape!! I've never seen him panting and gasping for air after even the National motos!!! He just rides like a veteran already. Plus, he's always been a naturally good starter. From mini's all the way up to pro, he's always up there at the start and given the speed and mental strength he has, I forsee a crazy awesome future....
Outdoors is the true gauge of where haiden is at skill and speed wise.
