Vertical blind trimming. Diy

Had to cut 2 inch off vertical blinds to fit my window. No other video on youtube so I sussed it out and made a video to help others. Not used my hot glue gun for years certainly helped . Hope this helps someone.

21k people seen this. Afew years now and blinds still as good as whan I shortened them. Helped a few people out.
I made this when I worked out how to shorten blinds. Especially when no one had posted anything to help.

Cutting at the top makes it less easier to see if it's a mm out. That was my idea.

Awesome video!
I was thinking about cutting at the bottom and folding over with a hot glue gun, but this make much better sense as i would lose many inches.

Looks good but I don't think you'll get a professional look at the end of this. I'm worried you'll see the glue. Also it's not a proper crease and looks rounded where it folds over.

I ordered blinds for every room, the width was perfect, but I never took the actual thickness of the base of the blinds into consideration when measuring the drop, so they all over hang the windowsill by an inch 😂😑😳
