It's fortunate that all 3 sons love the farm. The wives seem to love their jobs too. So rwonderful to see a family working together to build a successful business 😊
because of this inspiration I took the seeds from a fabulous melon at my market, a sugar kiss, and planted them. I am a failure with seeds but they have not only grown up but now have flowers. It is too late to get any fruit for the year but I have put seeds aside for next year and I'm hoping that I will actually grow my first melon. Thank you folks boys and girls
If you have flowers already you should have enough time left in the year to get a couple fruit, depending on where you live that is. Even if it’s underdeveloped, it’s still edible and even cuter then a full size melon.
If you get heirloom varieties then they will generally breed true to variety! Unless there is another variety very close by that then can cross pollinate!!
Little veggie girl loves her daddy. She gets so excited when she sees you. She is so sweet and I look forward to seeing her happy face in your videos. Beautiful gardens guys. Thanks for doing what you do. I love our farmers they are very special, without you guys AMERICA would not survive. You do this with such love and Grace. Thank you❤️
I'm always amazed that you boys never seem to use gloves for any of your chores (picking vegetables, harvesting potatoes, throwing bales of straw/hay, etc. I'm so glad to hear you say today that you wish you had long sleeves for picking yellow squash! You boys are amazing!
Thank you for awesome video, beautiful vegetables, good job guys I love watching you guys u sharing so much and is so good see Kelly so happy take care.
a popular winter meal here in Cape Town, green bean bredie, saute one large onion, garlic, herbs and spices, beef stock block, add stewing lamb, water, green beans, cook for 5 minutes on high, turn down heat, add potatoes, simmer until potatoes are soft, optional, thicken with gravy powder. yummy
Motion sensored lights might scare off deer and other animals. Zucchini bread is our families all time favorite. A fresh slice with real butter and you are in seventh heaven. My mom will be 90 this year. Her favorite soup is vegetable ham. We cut up potatoes and rinse them off. I put them in a large pot with vegetable juice. Half way done, I add in fresh corn, green beans, ham and carrots. We never add any additional salt because the ham provides enough.
These videos are beautiful. Important for people to see what goes into local farming . A happy child makes my day .Cali is one happy child . Keep up the good work . Good to see everyone.
I love watching the whole process of growing vegetables. From seed to harvest ❤️ Your plants look amazing, particularly the zucchini and squash. I love your channel and am so happy your business is thriving
Hi! So excited that I got to come to your farm today. Was disappointed that Andrew wasn’t there. Was glad to meet Grandpa and Mathew and Daniel and MiMi and Aunt Becky. Hopefully we can make the trip again next summer to visit. Oh, and got some good produce too! And a tee-shirt.
I was born in Latvia but have been living in ireland for 19 years.I love peas and gerkins i wouldnt be good help on your farm i would eat more than pick🤣🤣
@@Mrdonelly Very funny. Just so you know I'm just another viewer and not part of the Veggie Family. They are in North East Pennsylvania. I'm in a South Central county in the same state, but 2 1/2 hours away. Since I've visited Ireland I thought I would say hello to you. That's why I made a comment to you. I hope you like N Ireland. I'm sure you miss where your from in Latvia. Have a good Friday. 👋
Thank you again for showing the picking up close. Just love it! I am not how you are putting the camera, but those angles are wonderful and you are able to get a really nice shot of the plants as you pick (beans esp. in this one). I'm hoping to pick my first zucchini (yellow) soon. - watching from Poland.
My husband and I absolutely love you and your family. We love seeing your daily lives and appreciate seeing your daily business life. Never change! Be yourself!
Hi guys. Wow first time I seen Joel without a hat LOL I wondered who it was till he spoke. Hi Joel. I love to pickle make a bean salad with those yellow beans.
Watch your videos ever day. Always enjoyable. My number one thought about you guys is that you are very smart business people. The whole TH-cam thing is a business venture. If you get about 50k views and day and do it for 300 days a year you are making a pretty tidy sum of money. Very tidy. Good for you. You got a big family to support. People buy zucchini flowers in your area. Big sellers here in Italy. So delicious. Oops, you just answered my question. Never mind.
Hey Andrew, not a bad harvest with the lack of rain. Still over 40 days with no rain and temps at 102 to 106, most all of Texas is real bad. Can you tell us what kind of harvest knife that is? Love the channel and we will be praying for rain for you and us. God Bless.
Hi Andrew, Love the show, just a quick note from Australia. Keep up the good work, we enjoy your program very much and all ways look forward to each episode. regards Tony.
In SC & most of the south the squash bugs bite into the stem & kill the plant! I get about 2 weeks of squash & then they die. Yours are lovely & I enjoy seeing them.
Keeping deer away is very easy. Many bars of Irish Spring soap Green color soap If have Onion bags or zip lock bags with holes in them. Need hole below the Zipper , use string attach to Tall T-poles or big sticks. Have sensitive noses, can't stand smell of Soap. Live in Rural area.
Try pepper oil on the leaves? The smell might make them move along. Maybe spraying some clove oil on the leaves would help. These wouldn't hurt the deer and the taste smell or numbing agents would be harmless but still unpleasant enough to make it not worth snatching. You can try throwing some organza or bird netting over the beets and see if that keeps the deer from being able to get their smackers on the tubers. Deer tend to dislike a lot of other crops that might be good to plant around the field. Obviously we wouldn't want to hurt the deer but these are some Idea's to throw about in trying to keep them from throwing your beets about.
I planted beans this year I didn’t plant as many as you did I only planted about 20 plants maybe 25 just for my own personal use and I still have beans to pick and bring in I thought they were all done no they’re still blooming and giving me beans
To add protection to your beats use line of 30lb. mono filament line about waist high around them. The deer push on it but they cant see it so they back up and leave.
Good looking zucchini yum but I hate to tell ya, I think we watch now just to see “Baby Dumpling Callie” yay, she is so dang cute. Hi to all from south Florida
Couln't you have that irrigation part delivered to your farm same day FedEX or Home Depot or Lowe's etc. or next day shipping, instead of a 5 hr. drive plus lost work time? So glad you got all those tasty veggies harvested. Hope you get a workable solution to your deer difficulty with regard to their enjoyment of your beet crop.
Thank you Andrew for sharing the info about green beans & why they get rusty. We’ve have been gardening for years but I did not know that. Great video. Always informative & interesting!👩🏼🌾
Your videos are so inspiring that I wish I could have such a family. Four generations sit and eat around the same table. Brothers, with thier wives and cousines jointly carry on the same family business alongside thier parents. Does that still exist in the states? I live in Albaqurque and I have never seen a single family like that.
Hi Andrew, You guys are awesome 😎 we all as a family watch and enjoy all your videos. I feel like come over there and work with you guys in the fields.. you guys are very hard working Hats off to you guys for your hard work..
HEY...HEY: You like to give pointers on harvesting home crops...HOW ABOUT TEACHING US HOW TO STORE AND PROLONG VEGGIES WHEN WE BRING HOME FROM MARKET. thank you
Your dad is right beans and potatoes do sound really good, especially with ham cooked with them. A side of cornbread too. Callie is such a happy girl. Hope you guys get rain that is in the forecast next week.
For your deer in the beets……try taking some moth balls and putting them in a knee high or cut pantyhose and hang them every 5 feet or so around the perimeter. I did this after they demolished my corn last year and they don’t go near my garden. Or at least not close enough to eat anything! 😉
Super busy video, hope the pump-thing was able to get fixed and running again. Veggies 🥦 🥬🥒 look so yummy! Fresh beans, great crunch! Supper time, Callie is such a sweetie 🥰
I really enjoy watching your video. I appreciate how all of your family gets along. One question I have is: what kind of knife are you using to harvest your zucchini? Where can I get one like you have? Thanks!
I believe they said they got it from a viewer/customer. They said it had been in the customer’s family for a long time, but didn’t get used anymore, so they gave it to the Veggie Boys, because they knew it could be of use to them.
I always cook fresh green beans, new potatoes, bacon and onion..in the pressure cooker..... Yummy 😋😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤🤤

Melons don't always breed true, FYI.
I did the same thing with sliced tomatoes. Pretty plants with some tomatoes.
If you get heirloom varieties then they will generally breed true to variety! Unless there is another variety very close by that then can cross pollinate!!

Maybe you should put some old long sleeve shirts in the trucks to use for itchy plants, then leave them there.
