Glad you found growth and mental health healing. Hopefully you will continue to do what you love for you and no one else because at the end of the day the only person that we need to be happy with is the person looking back at you in the mirror and everything else will fall into place. I also deal with depression and the biggest thing that helps me is at the end of every day finding at least three things that made me happy that day and finding three things that I'm thankful for

Man or not, who cares. We're all human at the end of the day! As far as adventures go, nothing too crazy this past year, I've been just grinding away at work. I'm hoping to travel in the near future, i have a lot of spots in the Pacific Northwest that i really want to see and also just some spots in my own state (Wisconsin!). I've always loved nature but sometimes life kinda smacks you in the face and you get stuck in a boring routine. Making good progress towards the goals though!

Anton my brotha from another motha! As I said in the previous video it's so great to have you back. We've all missed you too, very greatly. Not sure if you've noticed it but we have. I can't tell you how many other people I've seen who also missed you based on their own comments. But at the same time I'm really glad you are pulling through and needed to step out of your zone to find yourself, and discover who you are as a person. That's definitely not an easy task to do. To this day I'm still having trouble finding who I am as a person. Depression was definitely not kind to me ever since my dad passed away back in 2016. To tell you the truth I also went through a weird phase where I felt like I lost connection with my own music. In case you don't remember Im a musician myself. I write and record my own songs, and I play keyboards and bass guitar. This year has been incredibly tough, 2024 was not the year I was hoping it was going to be. Mostly because of stuff happening at my main job. But because of everything that's happened this year alone, I feel like I've lost interest in recording. I cut my hair because of work stuff. I had a cool mullet in the back. But I felt like a different person without it. Meaning it just wasn't me anymore. But anyway long story short, taking to you again and finding out that you're coming back really lit up that spark again. I found myself recording some tracks again and so far its coming along very good. And just like with you coming back, it's a very slow process but I'm sure it'll get better as time goes on. It's strange but also beautiful in a way because I feel like there's a connection with you as a person, and within music as well. And I think you lit up that spark inside me again. And I can't thank you enough Anton. We're all here for you and I know you're here for us as well. But most importantly focus on you my friend. Anyway sorry for the long message, I know I have a habit of doing that lol. I just needed to get some stuff off my chest as well. But thanks for taking the time to read this Anton, and really looking forward to seeing this new chapter of yours and talking to you again buddy.
Bro! That's awesome man. Ya life definitely takes us on some wild, fun, challenging journeys. I think once you connect with your bliss, your soul tribe, the artists and people that inspire you, you find your alignment and creativity. It also helps you find yourself, once you find your tribe. Because they are a reflection of you, and you to them. I know its been true for me.

As for your reactions - yes, just do them as and when you want to. Don't do them for the sake of doing them. Totally understand when you said about music burnout etc. Music is/was my first love. At 46 I find I listen to loads of music and then nothing for a few months. Just do it because you want to etc. Live your life, enjoy what you do when you do it - reactions/podcasts etc so you can be proud of it and look back in 10 years time and still be proud of it! I know the feeling of being burned out myself, was feeling the same after having worked for my company for almost 9 years and being made redundant in summer and now having to find out what to do with my life.

I honestly had very rarely thought of the meaning behind most of my favorite songs, you opened my eyes. I am glad you have taken time off for yourself, you seem much better. Several months ago when I discovered the Nicotine Dolls, i checked to see if you were back in TH-cam because I really wanted to hear your take on them. The lead singer, Sam Cieri, writes all their songs. In a way his writing reminds me of Rob Thomas. His writing comes from childhood trauma of being severely bullied and has so much self doubt. One of his favorite songs that he believes describes him best is - How do you Love Me. They put out a live reimagined version that is beautiful and heartbreaking. They have many songs dealing with depression and self doubt. But, Sam is a romantic and has some beautiful songs. He has a Patreon channel where he has Zoom calls with fans around once a month. He goes in depth about his process of writing and recording the songs. It’s quite interesting.
