Good review and a quality product, I have had my Ion M bag for about 10 months now and been very happy with it and it has been ideal for 2-3 days away. Looks good and sits on my 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 sx rear seat perfectly, mounting it directly to side pillion handles / pannier rails, although if I had one criticism the straps fray at the ends very easily. Easy and cheap fix is to buy a set of new straps with reinforced ends from your local camping gear store.

Yes if you don't use the side pockets, I used it with my XR with panniers and it's okay. Depends I suppose on how high the panniers sit. I don't have them on my GT. You like the stock seat? It's made of oak🙈😂 what is wrong with you?
TheLikeableRider I know!! I’ve tried like hell to like the ergo seat but the pressure points don’t agree with me. Maybe its because I’ve toured on a Hayabusa for the last 10 years
can you fit a helmet on the ION S when its extended? I have the Moskomoto Nomax tank bag and looking of this as for mail tailbag. Hoping I can fit this on my G310GS with my OSAH dry duffle bag on the tail.
Quick question- to where do you attach the rear straps on your SD GT ??? As on video it looks like they are going down towards the number plate holder area ..
Just bought the ION M tail bag. It's pretty good ,though I'm instantly disappointed with the ratchet & strap system. Way too fiddly for regular fitting/removal. Much prefer a clip strap system. Not a deal breaker, but a big minus point for me.

Looks propper quality stuff. The water proof lining in my old throw-overs were technically known as bin bags😁

I attach them to the rear rack that I have on the bike, also from SWMOTECH

Which bag are you asking about? Wouldn't fit in the small. The M is big enough if you can get the laptop through the opening. The L no problem👍
