      That's not that difficult and that's a cool stair jig tool, never seen one before and don't think I need one, I've uploaded similar job but in vinyl on my channel, check it out, I'd say it's semi tricky, no sweat.

    Amazing work. Can you make a video of how to put a hallway nosing.

      I don't have a recent job with hallway nosing. But if you have to install long hallway nosing, install it first and then attache the floor. thanks

    how do you mask the seam

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can put a wood filler with matched color.

    Can you install vinyl plank on the bottom curve step?

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Carlos, yes it’s possible. Need make a full tread and than cut curve profile with 45 degrees. Then install front of curve nosing 45 with both sides. Make curve bottom of the nosing and glue it with front. after drying glue, sanding edges of the front of the step. Done.

    I don't understand how the tread fit if it was cut too big. How much gap do you leave on the sides of the treads? I tried to cut them tight but ended up scratching my walls and now I have gaps on the sides of my treads.

      Should be without gaps. I have to see what you doing. I guess this video I made very detailed.

    Hi, just a question - what would you use to level a subfloor before installing 3/4" x 3 prefinished hardwood flooring?
    Learned lots from your video - truly appreciate it. Thank you.

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I am right, you will install nail down over the plywood subfloor. Here is example - th-cam.com/video/UPowP3bez5A/w-d-xo.html

    I have a floor I'm trying to level. It has a big hump in the middle of it. Have you ever done a video about that situation? I feel like I have to rip up the whole thing to figure out why. It looks fine from the basement. The house was built in the 1850s. Thank you.

    I see you show installation procedure but what happen when you removed carpet and wants to install wood on stairs and stairs are not meeting local state code requirements. How do u fix risers with different heights. there is certain tolerence allowed for risers and treads to meet STATE CODE

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What the heights on your stairs?

    • @publicmedia7858
      @publicmedia7858 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The riser are 6 3/8 " to 6 1/2 " + 1" existing Tread. = approx 7 1/2'' Now when i add wood on top to existing Tread it is another 5/8" inch. Total height will be 7.5" + 0.625=8.125" inch. This will break State of Texas building construction code

    • @publicmedia7858
      @publicmedia7858 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My stairs are semi curved. It is not spiral. So it has different tread depth

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Put laser on top of the staircase and measure height of it, then divide on the volume of stairs and you can get height of each riser. Start repearing from the bottom stairs. Your riser can be from 7” to 7.5”. Check your code in the Google.

    • @MrYoucandoityourself

      But all steps should be taken before the same.
