For anyone wondering why the Voidwalker got exiled in the final match, Voidwalker states 'If a card would be put into an OPPONENT'S graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead'. Well when LSV killed the Voidwalker, he was Thibaud's opponent, so instead of going to LSV's graveyard, Voidwalker just exiled himself instead.
That last game definitely showcased how insane Psychic Frog is. The fact that it’s able to out scale lots of removal, essentially unbeatable in combat, and is an instant speed discard outlet and graveyard hate makes it the best creature in cube IMO.
Oh man what a great story time! Would love to hear about first piece of power, first deck he was “proud of”, does he collect for completeness or play sets?, Does he have a ‘blinged out’ deck?
I like taking Lurrus to run in the deck. A couple of the black removal spells already tabled before, so there's a decent chance you get Push back. The deck already has some good removal, but is a bit lacking in threats. Using Lurrus to get a little extra value out of some of them seems like a good plan.
Also, at that point he already had Dismember, Bitter Triumph, Feed, and Nowhere to Run as cheap targeted removal spells. Fatal Push really wasn't essential.
These packs fell really weirdly, ended up where blue black both seemed like the right lane but fell short of cards in each pack. Im not sure how good the relic would have been in this deck of you ever drew it, the drck seems too low curve. I wonder if the ghost vaccum pick was a mistake vs the seedshark, maindeck vs sideboard. 18/19 mana sources in such a low curve deck seems like it hurt, but what cards would you even rub differently... reoccurring vs relic maybe. I wonder if picking for a theoretical 3rd color would have been "correct" vs picking hate drafts in the late picks in each pack, though the fixing wouldn't have came up. Odd stuff to think about
Nah. The defining feature of power is being so strong you put it into basically any deck of any type. Ancestral and Time Walk, for instance, are just so powerful that even a mono white deck will try and splash them. Off color moxen are still busted. Library is good, but there are a ton of decks where it's just not worth the slot. It's awkward and requires building a specific kind of deck for it to be busted, and so while it's ceiling is high enough to be on par with power the floor of time walk is still insane, and the floor of library is a very bad land.
You got comically unlucky in some situations with the flood, but was 17 lands one too many for this deck anyway? It had a rather low curve and quite a few cheap ways to draw extra cards (Library, Frog, Strix, Night's Whisper) as well as Lotus Petal and Drain that provide mana. I guess there wasn't really a good playable card left over, so maybe a consistent 17-land mana base was just the better choice in the end, even if the games made it look bad.
I think you are more likely to get a thopter foundry or sword if you dont see it in the same pack(as in pack 1 of 3). Everyone that sees both thinks they can get it to wheel in that scenario, but I think when they are in separate packs you can take one and people dont even both taking the other cause they saw the other and realize that it is already gone. TLDR speculate over trying to wheel from the same pack
12:48 This had me worried for a minute lol. This is what’s bringing Luis out of the slump. Solid fundamental pick over the fun pick he would’ve made in the past and will make in the future because it’s fun. Winning is fun too though.
@@Dave_D1celol this comment is deserving of ridicule. Bro thinks he’s someone to discard LSV’s very clearly stated reasons for picking Lurrus as a great card and infantilizing and patronizing him by saying it’s the “fun” pick. “Winning is fun too” has got to be one of the most condescending things one could write.
LSV, i would not be suprised if we found out daybreak wrote code to modify your draws to be lands 80% of the time. after following you for 2 years, you lose many games from just pure land draws.

as long as that cube isn't playing white plume adventurer
bowmaster and bombardiers die?
jokes aside frog is up there definitely top 5 creatures for sure
@@LuvSic_ I honestly believe psychic frog is better than those. T2 psychic frog just completely takes over the game in a way those don’t.
how is it gy hate? only exiles from your own gy
Day two of asking lsv for a video showing his personal collection, his favorite cards in mtg and cool interactions he's had with said cards
Oh man what a great story time! Would love to hear about first piece of power, first deck he was “proud of”, does he collect for completeness or play sets?, Does he have a ‘blinged out’ deck?
Didn't you see the announcement video? I believe he's going to be too busy
He’ll probably make a compilation video for the end of the year.
@@gogopogotogoexactly what I'm thinking
Fantastic idea
Very Dimir, very thoughtful
Very mindful, very dimir

“I’m feeling Library today”, indicating that it’s a day that ends in Y.
That game 2 is the textbook example of "Variance".
Great video and surprisingly sweet deck!
Not taking the darkslick shores after all the talk of issues with mana was wildly irresponsible
Also, at that point he already had Dismember, Bitter Triumph, Feed, and Nowhere to Run as cheap targeted removal spells. Fatal Push really wasn't essential.
It was a sweet draft sad it ended in a tie
Btw its staa-sjo-vebe tho stas is also fine
Hope for more battles soon
The way some of these draws have been lately, I'm starting to suspect the "L" in LSV stands for "lands."
What would your constructed deck of choice had you gone to Worlds?
Ur drafting blue 🎉
The discipline of passing Lurrus 😮
Since the compilation videos are coming
I would be interested in top 5 or 10 library decks if that video doesn’t already exist
I’m watching at 8:41, and I super feel like we are drafting specifically to have lurrus be a possible good draft
If we get twins soon, I want a splinter TWIN stip.
Damn, pack 2 must have been absolutely stacked for Dimir, sometimes the packs just be like that
Is tragic slip worth in the cube?
was scared for a moment there was no vid today
Worst case scenario the twins are arriving. Nothing to worry about. Next time the vids are late will be an opportunity to celebrate a little!

Should library be considered power at this point? I wonder if playing non-companion lurrus is decent in a low curve deck like that.

12:21 back to back companions is unfortunate
Luis did you walk under any ladders recently? Any black cats cross your path? Perhaps you haven’t knocked on any wood recently.
No considerations for Wheel of Fortune p1p2??
arena cube draft is up

As much as it pains me, I fully support your decision to not take thopter foundry in that spot.
