I Ran the Sidcup Line

- It’s day 23 running the London Rail Map and I’m still tackling the southeastern network!
In this run I’m covering the Sidcup Line, also known as the Dartford Loop Line, which lies between Hither Green and Dartford. It’s around 24 km/15 miles in total so a decent run all-round! There's so much to discover along this line, from Bird Sanctuaries to Ice Wells, brilliant trail routes and uncovering this railway line's history.
I also had so much trying out my new Insta360 camera! Made for some awesome angles while out and about.

My fav, cheers, as a kid lived at Mottingham, travelled nearly everyday to school,from there sometimes used Eltham(Well Hall) Station to get the Double Decker train, the only station on the Dartford Loop line I never got out at, was Albany Park, now I've seen outside the station :)

and also a thing to look out for, there is a bit of history of old operator "Connex SouthEastern" at Elmstead Woods.
Just look behind the station sign and you will see the yellow line on the bottom.
The little side journey on the river bed was a treat 💚

Nice one Matt, this was the line I grew up on having lived in Crayford. A braver man than me to run alongside the A2 even just for that small part. Didn’t know that Foots Cray had a Parkrun too so must check that out. Keep up the great videos

I find Lee station very strange just because of the name of it and the area that is called Lee. But great video as always.
Hopefully the rest of the Class 707s will be transferred from South Western Railway to Southeastern when the Class 701 Arterios have entered service.
I'm not sure if it's the lens or the effects but this video gave me a bit of motion sickness. Regardless it's always nice to watch your videos.
