Hi there, thank you for your question. I am using one of the formulas for calculating the area of a triangle which is 1/2x(bxh). So, it's not half of the base or half of the height. It's half of the product. 1/2x(bxh) is the same as 1/2x(hxb). I hope this made sense. Keep up the good work!
For the second problem, if I used just the area of station 20 and 24, I would get around 7666. I'm wondering to what extent we should be in detail regarding averaging?
