I don’t think the shelf is gone. Looks like the water is being forced over it by the rock blocking the notch and the rocks that made the pad and backed up the notch eddy are gone from the lip. Needs some 🧨… (jk about the dynamite of course)

Has it got harder or easier to run, I wonder…. I couldn’t tell from the video. Landon and crew didn’t run it, I think, so maybe harder?

Gorilla is never going to be run in its current shape. Major changes will have to reoccur for it to be attempted

⁠@@kayakcentaurcan you elaborate on why? as a happy low-risk class 3 boater it looked impossible before too. Is it because the drop now pushes too hard into that right wall, particularly as it seems to me most boaters would be coming into it from left to right from the prior move?

@@HolisticFrenchFry you should look at the drone footage of it. This video doesn’t give a good perspective at all.
The redirect from the right shelf is violent and often unpredictable. You couple that move with the new notch and I don’t think it’s a realistic line. You also land in about a foot of water in the trough at the bottom of all that so…I doubt anyone will paddle it, racing is out of the question, especially in a long boat.
