And A-770/750 is still good enough, especially with price falling down a fair bit, makin it cheaper then 3060 (which costs 300-400 bucks "new" here, insanely even more expensive then 4060 sometimes, and you can also buy used 3080 for same price).
i did something similar, in 2022 i build a pc with a R5 5500, RX 6600, 32 gb of ddr4 memory and an M2 ssd, the sad part is that instead of waiting a bit i bought my RX 6600 brand new, right after the 6000 series was launched in the middle of the silicon crisis... i payed 400 euro for it 💀i regret it till this day but the card also works flawlessly since then
Believe me, you don’t want to upgrade to the 5000 series-it's terrible. Stock is nearly nonexistent, and retailers are either getting three cards every two months or none at all. Performance-wise, it’s not even a real generational upgrade. The cards cost the same as the last generation and perform just as well. Also, because of the limited supply, retailers are selling them at prices way above MSRP, so even if you find one in stock, it’s going to be tough to get. There’s no reason to upgrade. I’m just mentioning it because I figure you don’t follow tech news closely and thats why you might not have seen the new B-series cards coming. No judgment-just wanted to keep you informed.

I tried Linux on my Titan Xp, and it was so unstable I installed windows within 24 hours of trying linux, and funnily enough, I tried an a380 as my recording gpu, and it was great, but caused more instability.

I also regret getting my Arc A310. I've found that there's something wrong with the way Intel Arc deals with normal video playback. ESPECIALLY with anything below 1080i/1080p resolutions. Also if you try to use DXVA for playback. *DROPPED FRAMES* are even more noticeable when using DXVA 2 for playback. It's not a performance issue, it's that it's doing something WRONG. Again, for normal *👉VIDEO PLAYBACK👈,* not gaming and not production, *IT IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG.*
bought an arc a770 pred 2 fan hybrid. For 248 usd after tax I cant complain. they don't support vr and retro games are iffy. I have mine paired with a 5600xt and its a good combo to pickup the shorts of thee a770.
About the 50 series upgrade, the best deal is always having a potato gpu as a backup for your downtime waiting for the new gpu release. Sell your current old gpu and then hunt for the second hand soon to be last gen gpu. That way, you can always keep up with the "almost" latest gpu without hurting your wallet. This trick serve me well through out nvidia generation. Buy 980ti when people hunt for the shiny 1080ti. Then 1080ti when people hunt for the shiny ray tracing 2080. I skip the 20 series then sitting duck because of chip shortage as the 30 series were scalped like crazy. Just bought the 3080ti 16 months ago for 1/5 the price they sell during pandemic. Now I sold it and hunting for the juicy 4080 since both 4080/super is not that much of a improvement from the 5080.
I think i rather buy a 90Series that soon comes out. It will prob have more in stock and give for low Cost 650-500$ a 4K GPU. What is more of a Gen upgrade than what the 50 Series is

This took like a way different turn then I thought it would oddly enough. (Hope this is enough spaces not to spoil too much) I was thinking like "oh, looks like someone didn't get the news about the battlemage GPUs". In the end, the B580 has issues with having "too much CPU overhead" or whatever, basically old/outdated CPU = way worse frames then it should be for such a card (it beats a 4060 but only if you pair it with a toptier CPU, have a r5 3600 and that is worse performance then 4060 + an r5 3600). Then I heard A380, why would you not get an A5XX or A7XX at least or something else, but alright if it is for simply recording and using the encoder (You could have managed the same with an iGPU (basically CPU GPU) I believe as well. With intel I believe the iGPU can encode in AV1. Don't know about if AMD iGPUs can encode with that.). And then it all boiled down to "now I have a monster CPU, I don't need an extra GPU for encoding" or something. Definitely nice find you managed to find that 5950x for 140 bucks. On an unrelated note, how much did that CPU benefit modded minecraft from what it looks like? I know modded minecraft can be an absolute hog for performance, have some bad luck and suddenly 200 mods run worse then 450 in an optimised pack. Granted also the amount of mods make a difference, often 200 mods will run fine anyways but still.
The mod in the video was DarkRPG on CurseForge, runs fairly stable for me, I cant say exactly how much FPS average but definitely 60+ all the time during the short play I did for background (50min recording)
Intel should admit and just tell everyone that Arc gpu's *REQUIRES* 'Resizable BAR' to be enabled for Intel Arc to operate correctly! *IF* that is the case. Not all of us can enable ReBAR on our systems. It's not possible on mine, unless I can learn how to do a BIOS modification and Flash. **smfh**

I now have a 6750xt, all works fine, my A310 is in my Plex Server. What i want to say is, Do not pair the Intel card, with anything, if you plan to daily drive it. just make a spare machine involving it
im using a750 with main 1440p and 2 1080p monitor, streaming, recording, gaming etc. it works well and i don't even talk about prices. i think intel solved a lot of things. it made some problem beginning 2024 while updating drivers though. im just saying yeah that times it causes a lot of things but its pretty good now
Ya I get why it sucks for what you are using it for but for me that little fella is better off doing gods work in a mini pc juts for stream encoding and decoding as well as home video streaming - Its not for everyone
Your conclusion should have been: ask a professional? You completely mistaken understanding where your bottleneck was. It was never in the GPU. Also if you were willing to spend money for the solution you SHOULD have gone for the recommended solution which multi-pc setup.

i upgraded my CPU from an i7 9700F to a Ryzen 5 7500F and i do not regret it, my 3060 Ti is no longer being bottlenecked
