As somebody who loved Ghosts throughout it's ENTIRE lifespan, it pains me seeing people say how they gave it too much hate and would love a Ghosts 2...

Same i loved this game back then. Extinction was fun and new. And the campaign left off on a cliff hanger as you get dragged away.
i didn't hate it but i never understood allll the hate, it wasn't a bad game at all to me. The dreary dark palate was off-putting tho. especially right after bo2.

probably not enjoying the game because we just hopped off the golden age and are looking back fondly because we are in a bronze age of cod basically once the shit starts rolling in the things that were mid start to look great.

People can say what they want, this was one of my favorite cods with being able to create a class however you wanted with the point build a class system. Not to mention a ton of unique perks not in any other cod.

It’s crazy looking back on it, this was the turning point for CoD, not even talking about the sniping/trickshotting scene. The overall feel of playing games after bo2 just felt terrible. But I would go back to the ghosts days knowing what happened over the next few years 😥

The DLC maps were some of the best in the series, especially the ones that would let you play as special characters like leatherface or predator.
Extinction was cool too. I got the hardened edition for 15€ lmao

This is my favorite COD of all time. I was huge into the competitive scene, and this games SND was amazing. Never played anything like it again. I miss my old friends, and the years we spent together online. Good times

The DLC for this game was incredible, I’ll be honest this game’s DLC was top tier. I really wish CoD had DLC like this game did. The maps were extremely original, ESPECIALLY the Fog map with Michael Myers coupled with all the horror movie references.

For me I actually really enjoyed this game. It was the first cod that I truly started to grind. I had finally got a Xbox and xbox like at the end of BO2 so this was the first true cod experience I had. Some of my proudest moments came from this game like prestiging in 6 hours and grinding my KD up from like a .6 to a 1. Ghosts will always have a special place in my heart as one of my favorite cod’s.

I relate to you so much my friend, Ghost was the first official time i got Xbox live and played so much of this game. I also met my first group of online friends and even went the lengths of trying to create a team lol. My buddy convinced a couple of guys to even change their names haha, great times with great people on a great game. :’)

I got chills at 3:59 hearing that music. Ghosts was the first COD I bought on launch day and until MW 2019 it was my favorite game ever. Not just COD, but game. I didn't have high speed so I only could play bots. Which was amazing actually. The hit detection, guns, movement, perk system, graphics, and so many other things were just amazing. I even like the maps how they were different. I kept my 360 for this game specifically. I bought it for PS4 about 4-5 years ago but it's not as smooth. And playing online in 2017-18 wasn't fun as it was just strikezone back then.
i used to grind this game so much and if i culd have a updated ghosts or even remastered

I loved this game, it's still one of my most played cods to this day. The sniping was fun asf, almost all of the sniper rifles were unique, fun to use, and did a ton of damage. That, and I liked the new ui, gloomy graphics, and slow paced gameplay. That and the maverick and ripper trick weapons, those were awesome.

I know everybody hates this game but I was like 13 when this game came out and I remember for months of my life I would sit in stone haven in the castles staircase against bots and just rack up like 20k kills against bots out of boredom just testing out everything. Super fond memories for 0 reason this was a good nostalgia trip
The hit reg on this game was the best I've experienceced in a CoD, if you hit you hit, if you missed you missed, no BS. I really liked the perk system too, you could really tailor it to a playstyle. Sniping was amazing, there was a small group of snipers over on xbox one and with such a small playerbase youd end up seeing the same names ended up being quite a wholesome little community.
I kinda think it was a game ahead of its time, whilst being let down trying to solve the skill gap problem from BO2
Hell yea, remember I started playing drop zone again in 2015 on Xbox one when it was pretty dead for about a month and I sniped with the same people every day. One of those players was Red JMR who was one of the best snipers on that game and he still played it
I loved ghosts. It was the first COD i could play online consistently, i just moved to a place with high speed and got this. I would have my friend come over and we would play it split screen online. Stonehaven was one of my favorite maps too lol

I love Ghosts. I still play it a lot. It’s campaign was amazing. Gameplay was really good and felt new. My only complaint is the big maps. If they were a bit smaller, the game would’ve been in a lot better state. They need to make a Ghosts 2. Even if it’s just a campaign, I would play it over and over again.

I did enjoy ghosts and how it felt but the campaign is NOT amazing, it is average at best, if you want great campaigns then go to BO1, BO2 or WAW.

That cliff hanger in the story mode was criminal. They set us up for so much potential story just to leave us hanging for years. We need a ghost 2!

Ghost was definitely a pearl cast before swine. Completely underrated.
I loved the Infection mode on Ghost, especially on freight when the whole team is camping up on the little bridge thing. I think Ghost had some cool memories.
Part of me would love to see the Ghosts perk system return. It was one of the only standout things of that game that I can recall. I thought it was great how you could actually hyper focus your perk/abilities to suit your gameplay more than other CoD Games.
I think it would be a great pairing with the gunsmith of the 'Warzone' CoD Games.
We have a complicated as shit attachment system, might as well have a complicated as shit perk system

I don’t know how or why, but I hated Ghosts in the beginning when everyone played it, it was so different in a way. But after black ops 3 dropped I started missing Ghosts, because it had great unique elements in it’s own way and the DLC’s were top tier, love the way they dropped new guns with dlc’s keeping the game fresh with new stuff like that
They should bring back Extinction as a side mode. I remember Ghosts dropping and getting so excited when I first played Extinction. It was so fun and unique

I loved extinction! I think what held it back was the lack of progression at the beginning. Once they added teeth and upgrades to unlock, it gave you more reason to play.

One weird thing I remember about ghosts is that I remember getting a kill streak that completely changed the map. Like it was a reaper symbol and it turned the whole map to rubble and I can’t find anything on it. I only got it one time and even got a nuke and still nothing.

As far as sniping in COD: Ghosts, I remember hearing when the game was released that they've tried to eliminate quickscoping. Obviously they failed, and they won't get 'em next time.
Unpopular opinion: Ghosts was a very good cod, people didn’t like it because it couldn’t do the impossible task of being better than BO2 and MW3 right before it. it was the first separate cod title from a series that we’ve gotten in years and tried to change things. IMO it did a great job

Yes, it was the worst Cod at the time it came out, but it was still a really good Cod. Competitive was great, Multiplayer was good if you were a good pubstomper and the story was awesome. All the other Cods were just better. After Ghosts every Cod was pretty much on the same level except for Bo3 maybe. I liked every Cod until Mw19 😂 Mw19 was really bad, Cold War was worse and Vanguard is not even worth playing more than 2 games in a row

ghosts was the first cod i played for all of year one and it has become probably my favorite cod of all time. I think I have like 50-60 days played on it, all sniping, and I loved it so much. Even to this day, it is the only cod I find myself genuinely missing. It sucks the entire community turned against it, its launch was plauged with issues but as soon as those got updated out and drop zone was added, it was such a great game. not to mention the DLC was fantastic and it was the first game to introduce a dlc sniper
playing s&d on flooded was some of the funnest cod moments outside of the original mw2

I really enjoyed Ghosts! It felt like maps had multiple access routes, so you couldn't just camp in one spot. And a default build had a silenced 'run & gun' class that was pretty much my playstyle

When this came out, it was my favorite cod at the time. The extinction game mode was a game changer for me. I'm fully prestiged, with everything maxed out!
The game itself wasn’t bad its just at the time since everyone was into montages and not everybody had a pc with a capture card so theater was everyone’s go to to record clips. And since ghost had no theater there really was no reason to play for anything but trick shots since you could have a friend record the kill cam for you.

I don't know why, but I really love how the guns sound in this game, and the sniper scopes and font of the kill points is very satisfying. Aesthetically I like it.
I loved playing this game when I was younger. Always enjoyed running around with friends in S&D with riot shields pissing people off, which was fun. Dunno why the game got the hate it did, being it had some innovations for its time that that we have today (like the perk and attachment system).
Probably never will know why people hated it, but I’d love to see another game like it with all the modern stuff we have for games.
As a fan of ghosts I could tell you a bunch of reasons this game is hated all I have to say is AMP and IED’s 😂

I loved this game, my favorite cod overall. To be fair it was the first one I played so lots of nostalgia but still a very good game overall imo.
Loved this game. The scoreboard change was one of my favorite updates! It no longer took up the whole screen when you opened it.
Also, the prestige system was very innovative and really cool to work through. Each character had its own level, and you could swap between them (therefore swapping between prestiges) between games. Killstreaks were so OP and awesome, i would rock the trinity rocket, griffon, and helo pilot. This was the first COD with a Blue Dot sight. The oracle killstreak sparked a new tool in codcasting called Oracle mode where you could see enemies through walls on the broadcast. This was the last game before loot crates were introduced, and everyone looked back at this game for what mircoDLC should be-just buy the gun you want. The Ripper was great, switched between an AR and sub on the fly.

This was one of my favorites, mainly because you could become Michael Myers with a care package jugg knife lol also really liked the campaign and overall grittiness
Genuinely one of my favorites. Idk what it was about it, it just felt good to play. (Plus, having somewhat customizable characters was cool)
Jev, Ghosts is my FAVORITE COD!!! I’m so sad to see you disrespect. It was the last good one too in my opinion. Last boots on the ground so I kept on playing it. The only good cod after it was 2019’s but I might only think that cuz it’s all we could do during lockdown.

i actually loved this game. the comp scene was fun asf along with the ranked mode they had. they also had the squad/team deals you had to do with a team or separately in pubs to win awards through the Call of Duty app which made the game even more fun in my opinion
I absolutely loved Ghosts. The comp scene was so fun, even more enjoyable to watch than BO2 imo. Playing GBs was great and the comp maps were all awesome. S&D was amazing. The issue was the pubs. Kill streaks sucked, most of the maps sucked/were too large, and features/guns were overall pretty dull. There was no real
Reason to want to progress in pubs either. But this is still one of my favorite coda
I liked the feeling and look of everything. The character customization I remember was cool!
Ghosts search and rescue was the best mode in COD. I think that's what the maps were designed for. It really emphasized team play and allowed for epic comebacks. Plus Ghosts had the funniest trolling (or most infuriating, depending on your perspective). Not only was there one-shot noob tubing, c4, ieds, broken camping spots, and bushes to hide in with ghillie suits. There was also riot shield with radar, OP throwing knives, instant swap Chainsaw, crossmap thermal m27-iar, etc. And this was back when most people used voice chat, and there was non-disbanding lobbies and no SBMM.
Might be weird but Ghosts was one of my favorite cods, I only played it on ps3 though. The maps were a bit too big for the amount of players per lobby but other than that I love how the game play/controls felt.
Ghost was an amazing game I will always go back to it.

Honestly, I loved COD Ghosts. It was the first call of duty I played and COD Ghosts is where I learned how to snipe and quickscope, etc. I really don't hate the game. It could be better but I just enjoyed how diverse and unique it was. Some people may not like Ghosts because of that but personally I loved it. Anyways, Great video Jev. Its nice seeing this game again. Its been years since I've seen Ghosts gameplay LOL.
Still have my pre order poster from GameStop for this. Was so excited for it when it announced. Still think story mode was pretty good but I honestly remember nothing of multiplayer except for 1 map that was kinda good.
This is by far one of my favourite cods, Which probably shouldn't be taken seriously since my favourite COD was WWII in 2017 💀
I will always stand by my love of this game. I loved the weapons so much. Some of the maps weren’t great but some were epic. I miss it.

Tbh, going back and playing old cods is currently one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. My game tastes have definitely changed over time.
Two things I'll give this game, the hit detection was buttery smooth and sniping felt great

I loved ghosts but gonna admit that base maps sucked dicks, however, DLC maps were by far the best ones.
I love that Jev is actually giving reasons on why he didn't play the game much and what it did wrong instead of shitting on it for the sake of shitting on it like most cod youtubers do. Most of the time when the others return to the game, they shit on it as soon as their video starts, they play the game, then later say "Wow. This is game is better than I remember. I might actually like it now." Then return to it a year later and shit on it again and then the same thing happens. I love that Jev is always real

To be completely honest, I only played the campaign of this game the most and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Multiplayer was a lil weird for me to play but overall, I didn’t find it so bad, just different.
ghost had a lot of comp to I remember grinding in clan battles on the app to get the gold and red division skins. It was most definitely very fun if you had a team.
Ghosts is not as terrible as people believe.

Ghosts was the only COD I actually played the most and ran with a few clan's, nothing but good memories from this COD and infected was pretty fun too.
Ghosts was a banger. The MTAR X was one of the best guns in a call of duty game. It had the range of a Rifle, but the performance of an SMG.
This game will always be in my top 5 cod games ever, I had the 360 version I didn't have a xbox one at the time. The people like myself who played Ghost and legitimately got to 10th prestige loved ghost it was so good, cranked was the mode I played the most 2x speed 30 seconds to get a kill or you blow up. The DLC weapons the Maverick assault rifle was a god like weapon way better than the ripper, it also had a sniper varient the Maverick IA2. The dlc maps were the best we ever got fog with Mike myers etc. Everyone that hated ghost never gave it a chance and now they realise they were too harsh on Ghost, now they all of a sudden like it.

This was the cod I was best at out of any cod. I remember I hit max level and then reset my account and did it again. I think it was becsuse I was at the peak of my reflexes as a young person, and this games TTK was so fast that I swear reflexes are all that mattered. I remember one patch the AX or whatever it's called killed in 2 bullets and the vector always owned people. On top of that, search and rescue was revolutionary to me, and the big maps made the concept of defending/recovering dog tags very tactical at times. My favorite cod map of all time is Warhawk. Also the Remington, honeybadger, and having to perfectly hop over IEDs will forever be iconic for me
The UI design was made for viewers too. CoD was growing in online tournaments, it was huge, but you couldnt tell which player was on which team, there were no team colors before, it was a mess. Ghosts solved a lot of stuff, but got a bad wrap.
Call me crazy, but this is one of my favorite CoD’s ever. So many fond memories of playing with friends and learning the maps and building my classes for hours on end
It's mental, because I loved call of duty ghosts so much, I was around 12-13 when it came out and I would sit around for days and days just playing and the campaign was one of my favourites
Apex RTAK was my Saturday ritual, this game was pretty fun for trickshotting but hard to find 6 mans cause everyone hated it compared to mw2 and bo2
idk the old school cods like ww2 where h had to use the old phones in bunkers and shit, those bring back so many memories and the nostalgia is crazy
Competitive COD, primarily Search was absolutely amazing.

All I remember in this game was getting in the block of ice on Whiteout
I only play this game for Extinction now.
I loved it back then, and I love it even more now.
