@@klevinduck thats true, on the other hand its hard to get to him because of Team balance, the second thing is genuinelly maintaining your health up to max before you get to him, it it quite easy to win as malric because of couple of reasons.
First is his great sword, it's longer than argon's allowing him to just slash and cut throughout the enemies.
Second is his position, it is easy to hold off enemies by himself and with up to 5 decent players and the rest of the team holding the other side.
Third is with a good moovement and map awareness you can theoretically push argon or anyone else off the ledge.

Agreed. Also the respawn position for Mason are very strong. Agathians need to go up the stairs but Mason gets to drop down on them. No safe resupply crates for Agatha either iirc.

@@mrdeeds1703 Defense has a lot of advantages on this map alone. But just by that last stage, for the reasons you listed but there is just a lot of tactical advantages the masons have.
Because it's a greatsword, the dmg multipler from the kings means the bigger the cut dmg, the more likely you will down people with less hits. Greatsword can already 2hko anyone with 2 OH heavies but with the 50% multiplier, you're likely to down ppl with just 1 if they're slightly injured.
His position at the top means he can afford to rest and be safe while archers have the high ground can pelt enemies with arrows or Argon himself. They can also wilted down the health pool of the Agathians if they come close, they have to heal.
Their position at the top as defense also means they can be close to mason spawn and the fact that they spawn in waves near the stairs means you can get free kills if you ambush enemies as soon as you spawn and jump down on any attacker who's trying to make their way up.
Lastly, afaik it is better for Malric to beat Argon by the clock because if both try to run away, defense wins by default if the timer is off. It wasn't like that in Thayic if Argon flees instead of raising banners then he loses. Defense have two goals, either protect Malric or kill Argon while attackers must kill Malric before the time runs out.
