    I't's an HGU-84P that I found on Ebay. It is very light and the sound attenuation is great. It's the most compact helmet you can find. No ploblem long lining out of an S350 with it. You can look them up at Gibson & Barnes.

    Going through ETL is definitely noticeable, as with any two bladed system. It is of course louder than smaller helicopters like 206's or robbies. From experience, Multi bladed helicopters tends to be smoother through ETL. S350 series are smoother and HU500 is barely noticeable with the 5 bladed system.
    The 205 is typically rougher at cruise speed than trough ETL. Although the VNE is between 110 and 120 its depending on gross weight, most operators will cruise at 100 or below due to that.

      I flew the R44, H300 (3 blades), H500C (4 blades) and H500D (5 blades) and I am totally agree with you. With the H500 Delta it was very smooth translational lift.

    Great video sir! More like this please. It's so hard to find Huey cockpit videos with so excellent camera positioning and picture quality.
    One question; how would you describe the ETL vibration? Is it very noticeable or rather unnoticeable? Does the helicopter vibrate more during cruise than in ETL?
    Thank you

    Correction deflection...appropriate glass cockpit instrumentation..Geep, etc. will suffice for single pilot ops IFR, etc. in 205...Peter pilot still useful for emergencies..not mandatory in this bird. ..better?

    what are the switches you are hitting on the over he'd panel. I know many of those are fuses but what else is there?

    • @choppercat35
      @choppercat35  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the electrical systems are overhead. Batteries switches, generator, inverters, lights, heater, wipers, cargo hook arming etc. Radios, Fuel system and hydraulics are down on the pedestal panel. Thanks for watching!

    What does ETL stands for?

  • @timka018
    @timka018 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The developers of DCS Simulator make The Bell Heli lots more difficult to fly than the real one. No matter what you do *Trim* and stuff still so funny module. I guess weR as a simurs we can fly much better than the real pilots lol very nivce vid indeed.

    • @TheHumorsable2
      @TheHumorsable2 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Timka 01 It's not hard to trim, at all. I think you are just having trouble or you are not experienced enough. Real pilots of these aircrafts have thousands of hours of training.
      When I fly the UH-1H in DCS, there is no trouble trimming and it's really steady.

      The throttle gets pre-set @ 1:53, before the start sequence is engaged. Fuel ignition occurs at around 10% of engine rpm.

    So much for the check list! Not even a clear left or right. The pilot must of been to some asian flight training school. I did not even see him set the governor.

      Jay Hood after some one has done the same start procedure 1000 times it becomes second nature although not professional not that big of a deal not having a checklist

    • @charliemarren8724
      @charliemarren8724 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Helicopters pilots generally don't use checklists. My company says to use one for about 100 hours and as long as your comfortable and don't miss items there after, it's fine to not use. Its pilot discretion though.

      +nasir baker do you already have a PPL? I possess several fixed wing Rating's. And 1.5 years ago, I was able to do an Add On for Rotary. It really depends whether or not you have an existing PPL. If not the training for Either are much more extensive, as well as more expensive.
      Google Helicopter Rating in your area.
      My next upcoming goal is to obtain a High Altitude Rating, as I heliski often and reside in Colorado. Can also become a Commercial, but it's a Step by Step process. If you want it, You can do it! Good Luck, hope that helps.

      +nasir baker I got my PPL almost 19 years ago and the first thing my instructor made me aware of was, it takes "resources". That was another word for "money", and lots of it. If it's what you want to do for a living, it's totally doable, like any other college education.
