Welding Table Swivel Stool | JIMBO'S GARAGE

- This swivel stool for my welding table is going to be a great addition to my work shop. I do a lot of welding on this corner of my welding table because it is so close to my welders so this was the perfect spot to put a swivel stool.

I made the seat out of wood and aluminum diamond plate. The rest is made out of some thick metal bar stock I had laying around the shop.This is the perfect height for me and now I will no longer have to be moving this stool in and out of my way while working.

This is great food for thought! Due to tight space I’m doing all of my welding using a modified mobile mini shopping cart for now, but I finally get to build my welding table I WILL be making a cool addition like this! Thanks for sharing!

I use an old computer chair to tig weld from and I curse like a sailor when I'm working on large projects and have to jump from one end to the other and I'm tripping over my cords witg the wheels. this idea is brilliant, no more running over the wires

Best seat in the house! Only thing I would change is making it so it can hinge all the way around the corner, and have friction to keep it from moving easily. I'll have to make one of these someday!
I’ve set on diamond plate tool boxes and I have found that after a few minutes it can be tuff on ye ole tender if you get my drift. Looks awesome though. I’ll have to make one for myself

Everytime I think I have my plans for a welding table set in stone, along comes another great idea. When i eventually pull the trigger on my project it is probably going to be over kill galore!

This is a really good idea. I think I might make the top bar a square tube section like a hitch receiver so I could adjust the seat in or out or turn it sideways for storage. The logo plate is a nice touch.
