    Your new storage fits right in and even looks like the biggest scale building I've ever seen on any layout.

    What a great Idea to have an O gauge loop running underneath the OO gauge baseboards. A true inspiration to my own future plans.
    I look forward to more of the same. Fantastic!!

    The hobby zone units look awesome there and the o gauge is coming along. The way the track is on the O gauge loops leaves room for working on stuff there. Job well done. Thanks. Ken

    You should add some sidings on the loop on one of the long sides of the track just to add a bit of interest and for more opportunites to run the train

      Also, on the long straights, I suggest they meander forward and back making a more curvy design that makes use of the space instead of being straight all along the back which would make the track longer and would bring more interest especially if you were to add scenics on the future

    I was just wondering, how many do of these pieces of this flexi track could you get away with for a circle, about 8?

  • @jerrymckibben9238
    @jerrymckibben9238 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    After watching the video, I had a suggestion. How about building a trench below the deck to recess the O gauge loop in where it crosses in front of the Hobbyzone set. You could then make a work deck that fits over the recess to give you a larger work surface when you need it at the Hobbyzone work area. When you don't need the full work area you remove the work deck and run the trains past the area.

    I do love O gauge but I have don't have the space or need another distraction from my 00 layout (already self-distratced with a OO9 project!) so I'll just watch yours instead! The track is more flexible than I thought and the clearance is just perfect. Well done

    I’ve just began with O gauge (after skipping OO, which might have been a bad move). It’s good fun having O because it’s bigger, but having a full brass E4 is a bugger to handle since it’s sharp and heavy.
    Good stuff though👍 I look forward to see how your O gauge goes.

  • @williamsworkshopuk
    @williamsworkshopuk 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you're planning to sit on the floor at your workbench? How do the bottom drawers open with the O gauge track in the way? Won't any locos with overhang have a big problem being so close to the hobbyzone units at the apex of the turn? Is there going to be a distinction between your workbench area and the track (i.e. a lip, wall, border, etc. ) ?

    This is just a suggestion. I am noticing you have drawers at the track level. It might be nice if you set your storage up a 1/2 inch or so just so you have easier clearage once the track is down. Even if you laid a foam core down cut out the shape of your storage and cut that shape out just to lift your storage up a little would give you a tad more clearance. Just my thought. You do great work and I enjoy watching your videos.

    Loving the o gauge. As an idea, you could inset the track into plywood. Much like building a level crossing for the full length in front of the hobby zone sets. Then you have a flat work surface and don’t need to keep lifting the track etc?

    Hi Richard, sorry i didnt get to see you at the Lincoln Railway show the other weekend, i was just too ill to go. Loving the new 0 Gauge loop and the Hobbyzone storage looks good in its position, i take it it was easier to add the loop to the front of the storage than to cut up the boards and add the track under them, i could also see you had that area full of storage boxes (most prob full of locos and rolling stock). Are you going to add scenery to the 0 Gauge layout or are you going to just have it as a running loop to watch the trains go by? Keep up the great work mate, looking forward to the next update.

    Hiya Richard, I love the Pannier tank engine and in O gauge it looks awesome. Are you going to run a small 2/3” sheet of board along the rafter boards in case it ever wants to jump over board? You could always paint it green or flock it as an embankment (scenic) and kill two birds with one stone!! If I get to the point of giving up in N gauge I will definitely do an O loop or two. Great watch, like the storage too... cheers, Chris
