@@violet3048 if you use them sparingly in conjunction with other blocks, you’ll find yourself not using too many ~ who knows they might nerf how many materials you need to craft them 🤞🏾
Glad you posted this. I don't do social media (twitch, etc.), so I was looking forward to your youtube posts on this update. The craftable farm implements are cool, as my farm came with some, but are in the wrong places. No way to move them only destroy them. Now I can put them where I want them. I'm looking forward to finally trying to create a flagstone step path with moss around the edges. This was an absolutely huge update in the world of game updates. The artists are top tier in this game. The mountain zone is so nicely crafted. I had a feeling when I played the beta that this game was something special. It has not disappointed so far. Thanks again!
Sorry it took a week but we were all scrambling to make certain PRW was complete with "all the things" and it was only yesterday that we checked off the list of datamined LvL 35 Legendaries. As for the world artists, 100%, The Mountain Biome feels a lot like Skyrim (that's a good thing in my book).
That showcase area of what each material looks like when built with is a great idea, my sons and I have a very similar place in our world. It's great for helping choose the right materials for a new building as the finished look is not always immediately intuitive just from looking at the blocks. Might I suggest a few things that have helped us? I'm looking at the example seen at @2:27 +6s here, but your showcases are all identical (as they should be). Firstly, some materials show special behaviour when arching out of somewhere, so putting a little one-block overhang on top of the wall segment could showcase that nicely. Also, putting an extra block on the outer corner of each stair step can give a nice impression of how very different - from plain to intricately ornamental - edges and corners can look like. Adding a little groove into the floor can also have an effect, I'm thinking especially of the materials from the Halls of the Dead here, but others, too. Secondly, some materials insert a special look every n voxels of height. We've moved entire homes up/down one or three voxels to get beautiful windowsills or lintels (not both unless you want very high windows) or ornamental lines on the walls. That may not be feasible to showcase for every combination of position and material, but for certain materials that exhibit these qualities rather prominently it might be worth putting on a separate showcase dedicated to just this. Lastly, there are groups of very similar blocks like the sandstone family, the regular stones and arguably also the woods. Putting up a showcase of how much more alive especially bigger wall segments can look like by just sprinkling in a single cousin block or a small wall segment of a similar type can greatly help young architects spark their creativity.
All they need to do now is allow for placing of any items ~ like potions, scrolls, food etc. God imagine how much we could advance in our base designs.. The notice boards needs paper Animals need furry coats We need a dye NPC to colour change outfits No cap on travellers for bases Customise any NPC / traveller clothing with changing it or colour change Vines, it works for some people, but it’s not working on my base Steel clime-able vines Maybe an animal companion for world exploring And for the love of god we need the level cap 4 of flames to increase.. the base radius on 4 is so small for how massive the world is
Wish you could use the cabinet as a storage device for like your extra armors and rings instead of having to use so many chests to do it, it would definitely cut back on having to put out a new storage chest or mannequin every time you get an extra armor piece or a new armor set.
Thanks for the showcase. I was hoping someone would upload something like this. I am a little disappointed that we did not get the stoves or ovens that you can find in the existing houses. Or the different bottles and small mugs. 😩 I was really hoping to get a stove for my base soon.
I don't honestly remember, I streamed Update 4 on PRW 4-5 hours/day (12 hrs day 1) and did that for 6x streams so it's all kind of a blur honestly. Both Wiki pages should be up to date though.
The moss block is really good option for turf roofing. Reduced the rainfall to rare, coming from scotland I don't need to be seeing rainfall every two minutes in game as well. Keg tap, maybe sink one of the weapon stands in the right spot and use either the handle of a weapon or the hook as the spiggot. Not too sure but might well work
Nice video! Did you have your plants in the fertilized soil or just regular soil? I have never used the pots before, only planted them in a field, but I think the Gentain seedling will grow much slower in regular soil. Maybe the rest of them as well?
I am having issues finding all the building blocks (the roof tiles) and some of the building recipes like the new door and the square windows (I have the rectangular). What am I missing?
The Ornate Roof Tile is at the bottom of a broken tower in a regular Chest. It's above the Shroud next to an Elixir Well (not the Cold Well). I honestly don't remember where I got all the Windows but both Wiki's should be up to date by now.
