In all the years of playing as a kid on that part of the trail, I never once saw a porcupine! The bear are another story. They used to come up on our deck and look at you through the screen door. I hope you guys are enjoying NJ!
What a great day!! That was a big bear! I am leaving on my thru hike of the Colorado Trail soon. I am having a terrible time fitting everything in my Kakwa 55L pack. I am not sure how you do it. I realize that colder temps at the higher altitudes means I need a puffy and perhaps a warmer sleeping bag than what you have but still, I think you started out with warmer items. I will go back and look at your video you did before you started. You had a good shot of the back of Chucks pack in todays video, I need to figure out how he had that bungie across the back of the pack. Great videos and way to kick ass! Colorado Girl
Yea we have a full gear video that has everything we started with! We also have the cheat code of being able to share the tent so that frees up a ton of space in my pack since he carries the tent
You Guys almost witnessed a bear “poopin’ in the woods” .. lmao I guess it’s true then.. they can poop where they want.. 💚 You two remain a pleasure to follow!✌️🙂💚
Hate those moths! It decimated a lot of the tree leaves around here in NH last year, so far so good this year so maybe they moved down South to NJ this year. They are terribly destructive. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this section of the AT for you guys as you both have a knack for critiquing food. It’s like watching those food traveling show on PBS only you’re traveling by foot!
@@heather__hikes Yeah they are and if you hear like it’s raining while you’re hiking and it’s sunny out, it’s more than likely them pooping so watch out where you’re taking your lunch breaks 😂
Nutella on rice cakes is amazing!! Have them both I'm my backpack. Jersey is beautiful!
What a great day on trail! I love that you are able to eat good food. Fantastic bear and cool porcupine! Stay safe! ❤
Yum - choco sunscreen…😂. I’d have been torn between Smokin Mo and the tavern. I’ve never seen a porcupine - so jealous. 🤓
I watch a lot of AT thru hikers. But I refer to you all as The Food Network, 😆
Ahahah wait why? 🤣
You've answered and proven the old question...Does a bear 💩 in the woods? 😂
Another great Chuck and Heather adventure video ❤
🤣
The chocolate outrage Gu takes like Duncan Hines chocolate frosting - the kind that comes in the plastic tub! My fav!
@@teresadarnell9159 I had this one the other day! It’s been my favorite so far.

@@glenhikes4606 ahaha we’re definitely foodies. We love to eat. And yea we heard those moths were actually pretty destructive - such a bummer.

Another big bear, maybe it's the same dude following y'all to check for left over snacks 😀
True - maybe he was hungry 🤪
Looks more like White Ermine to me.
OK what are these fuzzy fleece shirts you’re wearing? I love it!
Alpha direct fleece hoodies by Lightheart Gear! They’re a woman-owned cottage company out of NC 🙂
Those are brown tail moths and they will wreck your world if you touch them!
@@Whocares302 oh wow! How so?
@@heather__hikes they will give you a terrible rash thats hard to get rid of. And can cause respiratory issues.
My two least favorite things: Cheez Its and Nutella, now together in misery!
Least favorite things?! Cheezits are life 🤣
@@heather__hikes It's like putting the desert in my mouth. They should qualify as desiccants!
