Zeb stood up to him instead of running away. He either liked the boy's bravery, or was genuinely amused by him drawing his wooden gun. So, no death for Child Zeb. Most children would have peed themselves before running for their lives.
i think the point Robin's trying to make is that showing the Rider to have his own loose code of honor still clashes with how the movie is trying to paint him as a purely evil killing machine

At least it looked like the actor playing the Devil Rider was having fun.
Tom only attacks the Devil Rider when the most important thing in the universe is in danger: himself.
Tom makes much more sense if you imagine that the script was written by Ayn Rand.

I thought I'd never see it happen. Someone made a Western so bad it makes Ed Wood's CROSSROAD AVENGER look like HOW THE WEST WAS WON.
Well guys, its now 2022, so means a couple of things. First DCR has to do a special on SOYLENT GREEN like they did with BACK TO THE FUTURE 2. Second, this coming Friday ( Jan 7th) is my 60th birthday. It would be nice if the guys did a special stream review of WAXWORK ( 1987).

I turned 61 a couple of months ago. I remember not really liking Waxwork back then, but, for some reason, it stuck with me. I think the idea was fun. Then, after Waxwork II, I really started getting into those movies. You reminded me of that. Gotta find the blu ray now.
It's like a 'western' version of Highlander... except done badly and there's already only one.
I like the actor portraying the "Devil Rider." With a decent production company, it could have been a good film.

While we're on the subject of cowboys & western villains---On this year's Christmas I was gifted with a cap gun, fringed leather vest, and a pair of boots. I decided to toss my Spider-Man underwear in favor of the more classic design of "choos choos"; they go a lot better with my all new Wild West theme. I'm willing to sacrifice a little period authenticity so I can still wear my vermillion tablecloth cape. Now all I'll be needing is a decent cowboy hat and then I'll become the rootinest tootinest downright orneriest cowpoke superhero this here town's ever seen. Varmints everywhere had better look out. Hyeeeeeawww! Git along l'ill doggies! Git git git!

Sorry to say this film really doesn't look like it's 'so bad it's good'. It commits the cardinal sin (as Robin has previously said) of being boring.

He's not a ghost, he never died. He's so angry he only rents a place in Hell and pops out occasionally to bother folk with his ground shooting and rope antics.

It's a zero budget home made flick. With only limited fillm reel which gave the makers only the chance to film each scene with one take. It's all too easy for someone who will probably never make a film to criticise and trash someone else's work while not even understanding the background and facts behind the making of it. Good on the makers for trying and putting their hearts into it 👏
i'd say that the Devil Rider sounds like a discount Saint of Killers if _Preacher_ didn't start in 1995 :P

Was this one of those straight to cable movies that helped with a Simpsons joke: "Myth: It's only fair that you pay for quality first run movies. Fact: Most movies on cable are 2 stars or less and are repeated ad nauseam."

I think that Tom should have maybe stayed in Galt's Gulch, where he'd be able to practice his rigged form of self-reliance without comment from the rest of humanity.

Erica Leehrsen's character in Wrong Turn 2: Dead End. People get hurt, trapped - no matter. She just puts on a fresh burst of speed.
This is still better than the Nicholas Cage ‘Ghost Rider’ film…
There's an explanation why only 5 shots are loaded. One chamber is intentionally left empty as safety. a lot of old six shooters have no safety.

Yegods, what a turkey. Thank you for watching it so we don't have to. It's one thing for a movie to have lame acting and crap for a script, but couldn't they have put a dab of make-up on the Devil Rider, so he looked more like an undead beastie, and not just a regular guy?

Honestly, this is a bad movie with a terrific idea. I think plenty of horror movies take advantage of the fact that the lambs going to the slaughter are usually a cast of selfish jerks, but it would be great to make a film where you are really rooting for the monster/killer to win. Essentially, that move is THE CROW (why haven't you reviewed the sequels?!), but a better script, budget, writing, director, editor and cast would have made this a cult classic...
Though I imagine that is true of every bad movie... sorry.
He would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids.

I've seen gaming sessions nearly come to blows for doing shit like that. So it's anyone behind me is the rear guard. I mean there is the core of not a bad story there just take it out of the hand of the four year old that wrote it and give it to someone else. Why didn't the rider kill the Oldman well I have kept the coin which he gave me which protects me or I'm a descendant of his. give Tom the solider with PTSD trope which is why he sits around unable to help anything is better than this

It is not right to show Korvis (from America 3000) in the line up of selfish and useless heroes. Several times he risks his own life to save other guys and his leadership does end the hostilities between men and the frau. He is the main driver of the plot.
