I would show people songs I loved that were quite complex and often people's reaction was just confusion and said it that it was too much. Lucky I always liked making stuff on the more simple side.
I was curious about that too. I am assuming in the final version of the track everything was done from scratch. To me it looks like the project Diplo is sharing is just where he arranged the idea he had. Then sent it to Sia and they turned it into a professional track.
@maelgwni it's not too difficult to create the same sound to be honest once you know what you want to recreate. Manipulation of vocals is easy. But I guess we never know unless someone asks him directly.
@@djchemie recreating with the same timbre of voice, etc?? I think that would very difficult to come that close. If you listen to the original song the sample is identical; it definitely doesn't sound like he's recreated it. Diplo uses a lot of sampling in his songs in general (e.g. paper planes was basically born from him sampling random stuff), so I suppose he must be clearing them before he releases?
@@djchemieAll these pop producers create their songs from sampling - Moby, Fatboy Slim etc. I guess they must be getting clearance, no idea how they do it though. Anyone here care to advise?
Almost all top producers just use random packs for their fx samples, usually off splice. Vengeance and KSHMR 1-3 are the most popular ones though specifically, really good fx samples in them especially KSHMR.
I mean … he changed the way modern music sounds with the early M.I.A projects, Major Lazer … Beyoncé’s Lemonade … Usher “Climax”, Chris Brown “Look At Me Now”? What exactly does he need to do prove to you that he’s a pretty competent producer? Let me guess … you could have done better?
@@79Glitch no I give him props he’s a dope producer I was more so talking about how he’s working with a Grammy nominated artist while working on this track. I’m always looking for a capellas that sound good I can’t imagine what it would be like having the artist in the room singing around what I’m working on

This shows how much he cares about the creativity and how bad he focuses on the financial part of it. Dude, even a bedroom producer could come up with something better than this!
Heyyy Yeeeah Dip, I gotcha, got the volume turned down so weee good - Daaaammm the work you put into it and look at the Hit that u two dropped @SNL @FallonTonight @UMFTV
Sia can turn any track to gold her voice is unmatched and obviously diplo is no slouch
that chop he made from the sample is actually beautiful .. i remember when this song came out and loved it

"persistence and determination alone are omnipotent" - calvin coolidge
This song is amazing. Had no clue diplo produced it
Diplo's song "Get Free" is a master class in minimal production.
Also, Amber's vocals are a major cheat code.
Skrillex co produced it what else do you expect
dude just uses operator, analog, and sampled vocals and drum breaks! this is most basic stuff you ever can have. great song, great sia, great diplo!
These drums and that vocal are a match made in heaven. I always wondered how the drums came together.
Always loved that weirdly chopped vocal sample, makes the song way more memorable
I found the sample to this
This is my favorite song of Sia - that opening hook, just got me. So good.
I would have never guessed Diplo produced this track. The music video especially makes me emotional. Shout out Shia.
This is exactly the kind of video I want to see, my idols making music, explaining their thoughts, and giving us anecdotes! THX
legendary track
Big time
I love how insanely popular songs has little amount of tracks

All my most popular songs have such a simple approach
This is so helpful on so many levels, diplo is something special
Gorgeous production on this track
Wow..I love this song even more now
one of the best song i've ever heard. Pro's!
ahh iconic track, love seeing diplo getting technical
Tht mic diplo has is a dreammm
Let's be honest, who needs such an arrangement without a Diplo name?
Diplo a legend
Glad I’m not the only one who names tracks “still looking for a better bass” 😂
Seriously I have Abelton files named still not loving it etc all over in the folders
The amazing lyrics she sings here are incredibly touching and beautiful, I’d love to hear it without the explanation 😂
I don’t like a lot of his stuff but boy can he produce for others 🎯🎯
Amazing breakdown
found two samples on this track, s/o to diplo
Watch the full video on our patreon-> bit.ly/DIPLOvideo
Safe to say, Diplo knows what he's doing.
Epic stuff, love this track
most genius
so dope, thanks for showing/sharing this!
Wes is a beast
Please do this kind of interview with Calvin Harris.
NEED this
Love this.
Need to see that Trippie Redd - Wish session 👀
That voice… damn
Wow and he mostly used stock Ableton plug-ins
Great right, since v10 this has pretty much been the way. Plugins can be fun tho;).
Love this
sorry to skip through. I dont have iOS but I very much appreciate the capabilities here. 🍻
anybody know how to make that bass in operator? its not just reese its something more. the movement and fatness and overall quality is insane
Wowww
Definitely Ableton Live is the new industry-standard
It's been around for ages and if anything the new standard is probably no standard. Like people understand now that U can use whatever
Great!
Cool!!!
Does Diplo get clearance for all of these samples he uses?

Anyone know good sample packs that have impacts/downfilters/uplifters etc?
I think hes using Vengeance Electroshock Vol.2 here

Just use splice man
Would've been just as great with just Sia's voice
Damn even Diplo is feeling the pain of losing CamePhat.
Why are the words she sings different here?

Literally miss it so much

Elastic Heart is a dope song, but to me, it definitely sounds like a beat that Timbaland would do
Djemba Djemba did produce this
That's not what it says on Spotify

He was mega producer ten years before Splice existed, dum dum
Ok, I am not good enough! lol
Multitracks not stems. Let’s get the terminology right
