Beautiful video Matt. I70 outside of Denver where it looked like the whole interstate was dropped into that Gorge by Crane is one of my favorite spots traveling cross country.
Glad to see young people like you and your crew doing something constructive in your life, I was very impressed watching this video best hardtail set up ever made for the working man and women who wants to build a economical chopper style bike without breaking the bank, This is way better than a orange county or Jesse James model choppers that most people cannot ride for very long without having back surgery.
Ok,..in my almost 50 years of biking and building Choppers I have never mounted the rear-fender as you just did. In my opinion only the other way around works and cut to length gives the mean look of a Chopper. A true Chopper starts with rubber in the Front and ends with rubber in the Rear 👍🏻✊🏻🇺🇸
Any video you Have about the chopper sportster helps just got my very first Harley it's been bord out to 1207 from an 883 and would love to turn it into a chopper
We only sell 5/16" for the cloth covered oil line, we made it work but tighter than you'd really want to use if you've got more than 12 hours to build your bike haha
@@danielroddenberry I suggest anyone that wants to do this should first put some struts on your sporty and ride it around for a month. Trust me you will regret it when your 55 and got no back left to ride.Or like after your first ride and your b1tch will say no more. If you still want to do it get a smaller wheel with a big fucking tire and run 5to10pound like all the classic choppers did and consider a good quality sprung seat. way to ruin a nice sporty surely It don't cost much more to buy a whole frame so you can go back and cheaper still buy someone else's because there will be plenty out there because no one wants them. Better off with a seperate bike to ride around the block consider you won't be riding to fast anywhere. You can do a great sprung tail chopper too your b1tch wont whining about her sore twot when get to the bikeshow..
@ThrottleAddictionCo I only got about 30 minutes before I had to quit. I'll finish it! I'm going to be chopping my '96 1200 this winter. I'm getting some inspiration from this video to show me just how easy it'll be. Thanks for posting!
Awesome great to hear it! Let me know if you have any questions about our kit or anything else we can help with. Always good to have more hardtailed Sporty's on the road@@StarkeEnterprises
did you mean VOES? it's a vacuum operated switch that tells the ignition system when to advance the timing. pretty important. some aftermarket ignition systems have advance built into the programming, and they will specify if VOES should be removed.
About the rear axel adjuster. Couldn’t you drill thru the threaded part on the frame and use the original adjuster with the nut on the ”inside”? Between the axel and the former threaded part….
In theory yes, but I'm not sure if the threaded portion coming off the original axel adjuster would line up correctly with the hole in our welded on axel adjuster bung. Why are you considering doing this?
Yessir, this is the same content from our four part build series, we are just reposting them as one long video so it's easier for people who are new to the channel to find
When when you put that mood before you put that motor in there and you welded it up when you took the motor out why didn't you just go have the frame painted stead of putting the motor and put in the front end on go take it for a ride then come back in tear it all apart again to go and paint it wouldn't it be
We just did that for the sake of seeing if we could go from a running bike to installing our hardtail kit back to a running bike in a single day. If we weren't doing that challenge we would've taken the opportunity to paint the frame
There's a dutch company that makes complete Softail frames for Sportsters, don't know anyone with experience who has used their stuff but here's the link: www.l-l-choppers.com/sportster-softail-frame/?lang=en
I know the end result would be a stunning bike to look at but seriously, why going back in technology with an all rigid rear frame? The suspension on the sportster is already low on travel and uncomfortable. Its just a way to ruin a motorcycle. But oh well..this is just my opinion.
so you can look like your riding a pan or an old shovel but the dependability of a sport and who doesnt like spending money on pain in the ass projects to look a little cooler ha

That's pretty much what 70s chopper fenders looked like back in the day, my only thing is that they could of hugged the tire better.
@@theduckmeister1600 Sorry I just tried to be polite and point out how I do it since I think the fender shape looks better that way.
@@theduckmeister1600but should be possible for everyone to give his own opinion !
i think they were just throwing it togethor super fast to show how doable it is for a novice builder and sell hardtails
Should include those motor mount bolts in your hardtail kit!
This is awesome! I would love to have this done to my sportster!

Awesome build looks and sounds great. Cheers from Down Under 👌🤘😎🇦🇺🍻
Awesome looking scooter great job 👍
Keep it between the mustard and mayo and rubber side down later GBU
When will you share a neck rake video to finish a old school chop Vic in Wyoming

So what about 07/08 sportster 1200 EFI kits? Yall did offer the hard tail I know but what about barebones wiring for the 07/08 1200 EFI ?
What was involved in using the throttle addiction max current air cleaner? The description online says for 2007 and up but this is a 2002 motor.

You mounting engine before you paint the frame 😮
Mounting a hardtail is like asking for back issues unless you roll it off a trailer at Sturgis and throw dust on yourself to look cool.
Guess it’s a good thing you don’t have to ride it lol
