Welcome to Restoration Metal Rusty. In this video I got a friend of mine to give me a SANSUI speaker, a famous Japanese speaker brand. A lifetime model called Sansui S-E710, they broke and lost a small speaker. I had to replace some parts and restore the speaker. Fortunately after restoration. They work quite well. The sensitivity of the speaker of the music frequency resolution is quite good

Instead of taping labels on like you did you can use a spray adhesive like 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. It works great, it’ll even hold glass cloth down nice and tight while you take your time to paint on the resin.
🤔 I gonna be honest here, he needs to put a bit more Afford in to the Box of the speakers because detail is everything in Restoration, but he is good! And also He is learning the art, so for that I give him 👍👍👍

I currently own a fairly nice pair of sansui speakers from the early 1980s. 12 inch woofers, 5 inch midrange. A 2 inch dome tweeter and a 5X7 compression horn loaded tweeter with an adjustable L-pad on each speaker. The grills are diamond shaped wood pattern. MDF 3/4 inch with 1 inch thick front entire baffels.
Still to this day the best sounding speakers I've ever owned.
Except for my JBL Studio 530s

should have sprayed the woofer basket black while you had in disassembled. I bet the bare meal is already flash rusting.

There is a lot I don't like in this video. The wrap job is not done carefully enough. The front of the speaker box looks bad, with many unaesthetic folds and imprecise cuts. I would have sanded the box, apply some fix in order to rebuild an even surface, then to paint it black. The sticker job is also...clumsy. I am sorry, I don't want to criticize, but when you upload your work online, you take the risk to receive opinions just like mine. So, the sticker was cut clumsily, I already stated this, but also it is a bad quality one to. I am sure in a week or so, the box will be full of scraps. Then, there is the loud speaker frame which required a little attention too, but applied just like the way it was.
I am not talking about the sound quality, I can't express my opinion about this aspect as I cannot hear the speaker directly.
My opinion is that there are also some "manufactured" wear off elements, but the main idea which struck me is that the restoration job is done in a hurry, without care, precision and attention to detail. I wouldn't call that speaker restored.

I cringe when ever I see a sloppy job on the vinyl covering like on this one... You needed to fill and sand a lot more than you did to make that vinyl look good. And that tweeter was to big for that hole it needed the hole to be made bigger. Interesting job on the woofer. You should not make a speaker restoration video unless your going to take the time to do it right.

修理技術は良いのだけど、本当に残念なのはウーハーの素材がカーボンだったのが普通のコーン紙になったのが残念です。
当然手に入らないから、仕方のない事ですが、それが残念です！

Fail. Kudos for re-coning speaker but it all fell apart for me when e botched the tweeter fixing, rubbish vinyl wrap, no internal wadding etc... All that effort and for what ?

何が残念ってこれはミニコンポ用のやっすいSPでメイドインジャパン、サンスイ製って恥ずかしいってこと。音なんてこだわってないから出てるだけの製品。まあ、ミニコンポなんて見栄えだけだから。
