Thank. You did a great job restoring the amp, it looks much better. You are really talented and smart when it comes to repairs. The restoration process is really interesting, I really like your videos. Once again, thank you Mr. Electricity
Very well done!! What a job! I own a fully restored(not by myself) AU-317 and love it! Even the exterior is "as new" . Sounds similar, maybe better then the current amplifiers ..powerfull, soundstage , "umpff" etc. Yes..Sansui was top! Not cheap in those days. Was it a kind of "tube" sound?? They went bankrupt in 1984 I think.
I like it how they had the smaller connected PCBs inserted perpendicular through those slots, then the edges of those PCBs could be soldered onto the main board on corresponding pads that creep up to the edges of the slots! Sure saves a lot of spending and planning for edge connectors and the like! Yet still, if particular measures are taken while designing PCB, then the board could be open to either or all of D-subs, edge connectors, and all. Thanks again, Mr. Electricity!!
good video i am also involved in repairing electronics thanks to your videos i have been able to learn it little by little! greetings from the Netherlands
You are renovating a SANSUI amplifier. I see that you are painting the lower and upper covers of the amplifier - why did you just wash it roughly with water and detergents. After washing it, you should clean it of mud, matt the paint with very fine sandpaper, e.g. 320 grit. Degrease with an evaporating solvent. Then paint. I see you're painting with paint applied with a spray gun, not a spray. Very good. The coating will be more durable. You put a lot of heart into what you do and it is appreciated. For potentiometers to work well in the future, it is not enough to spray them with potentiometer cleaning liquid, they should be dismantled and thoroughly cleaned so that they can continue to serve for years. Spraying it only temporarily improves the situation. You're doing great in general. These are just small remarks from the other end of the world, from Europe, from Poland. My hobby is restoring old electronic equipment to life. I watch a lot of your repair videos on YT. I am full of admiration. Greetings, Marek.
It looks all very well and good but i must say one thing that's put me off with the way you use the soldering iron it must be tined before you start to take the stuff off the board's and also when you put the new parts back they must be tined and soldered to the boards the way you're going about it I'll doubt that it'll work properly and if it does then it might last not long that's my idea anyway good luck my friend.😊
I have been restoring the same amplifier for three months. This gentleman with a little solvent and paint did it in an hour. ha ha ha this video is very funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No doubt that you are an expert. Over more than 15 years of aged storge capacitor holding glue makes the starting most problems.and you should have used contact cleaner on slector switches too.
Very knowledgeable video ❤. Sir, my 35 years old integrated amplifier started very light humming sound. A little more from headphone jack. What could be the reason behind?
Another thing if you use cheep solder the unit will not last as long as silver solder but silver solder is a lot better than the cheep solder and that's why if items are silver soldered they will last a long time a lot longer than cheepo solder my friend.😊
Never realized hifi involves some sort of falsifiable scientific panel review. Can’t wait to never be one of you audio pervs. Dual mono for life mono blocks right? 10k cables of pure confirmation bias yay. Nobody cares about audio ocd cept’ the boomers you make rich.
@@didiervibert6111 Thank you for the explanation, I have not worked with a lot of transistor amps, I have a couple around, that I will look at, in the future, you information may be helpful.
You don't seem to understand the term 'Integrated Amplifier' - it means a pre-amplifier and a power amplifier in one box - nothing to do with Chip Module power output stages. 😉😉
There are some benefits to IC power stages. All the power transistors are mounted on a common substrate which means thermal tracking is almost perfect. You don't get some devices getting warmer than others. Downside is when the IC fails in stuff this age it's usually means game over. Discretes can be replaced individually.

Very good job guy one more time. Do you have some friends of you who live in France 🤩 ? and experts in audio electronics ?
Job well done!!!!

Great job
19:00 i cant undestand why you do this like that way why not skip that plastic thing or can it short circuit if you skip it? just wanna know :D
Thats noch Plastic, it is an insulator.
Without it there is a short circuit 😀
Daaaaam, did someone leave this out in the garage at their beach house? Nice Sansui in horrible shape!
Great demonstration
We may ask for your help
nice job
pertama 🎉
Wow. Bravissimo, complimenti.
nice your amplifier
E có nhận sưa âm ly o e
Not the same build quality as the AU-717 which has a dual power supply and direct coupled amplifier blocks plus, 4 filter capacitors.
Good ❤

What do u use to clean component?
Địa chỉ của mình ở đâu vậy ạ
Exellent! 💫
How does he stain them?
Nice
Excellent work. Confident disassembly and assembly. Do you have a schematic or service manual for SANSUI AU-D607 decade?
I need this magician for my HIFI equipment
Restoration without chek DCO and Bias....????
Oh lord....❗️
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What's the chemical you are using to clean the pcb.
SANSUI AU 717 is the one. Recently had mine re capped (£580 and worth every penny)

Always the same music for demonstrations after repair. . . . . . . . very suspicious and looks very scammy ! 😂
Sansuiy made very good amps. This one was OK but not true hifi. Nice though and worth saving

Super!!!
That is a good question, do all amplifiers, allow for such adjustments?
@@davidhamm5626 Yes, it is mandatory for the quiescent current otherwise the transistors heat up and can be destroyed. Regards

Please change the testing music.
Mr Electricity if only I could repair my amp. Thank you Where do find the parts sir?
Meu Deus 🙏 que serviço porco
I had the AU 317 Amp and tuner, the best stereo I've ever owned. i have a video on my channel.
it's interesting that it says integrated audio amplifier but the main power module is not integrated, rather full of transistors (which is good!)
