I believe my Azumarill might be a bootleg (no evidence of a tush tag whatsoever, not even a small leftover nip), got it at a convention at my regular mall back in Feb/Mar. Extremely good quality and could be passed off as official; About the same size as both my Raichu formes and was perfect scale for the tiny Azurill I got for Christmas and the Marill I got with bday cash after those 2. Might've been an import, so I might get a chance to get myself another gem like that one soon.
Ik fans of just about anything make quality plushies of their own that look better than the officials that they'd wanna keep or sell but a whole damn company? Now that's another story. It's almost as though VNKVTL and XSmart Global actually care about the fandom.... hmmm....

That's my exact process as well! It reminds me a little of how despite some products having the exact same ingredients and formulas, the way each is prepared makes them taste different from each other. Some store-branded versions of things have a notable difference in taste from the real deal. Others have none. And each restaurant also has their own ways of preparing their items. Some taste amazing and pull you back for more, others aren't only bad in taste, but literal toxic waste. It's strange looking deep into it

Some people need to realize intellectual property rights aren't some sacred thing that must be protected at all costs. They're just one of the many ways businesses avoid competition and are not designed to benefit us in any way
You make a lot of good points in this video. It's a shame that Scott isn't earning anything from these, but nevertheless, I plan on purchasing every Xsmart withered plush. I don't think buying these is "wrong" or "going against Scott". There's nothing wrong with getting the characters you've wanted for almost a *DECADE!*

I totally agree, man. I understand people's points about them being illegal, but in terms of fan service, xmart seems to actually give a crap. Also, funko isn't a perfect company either honestly. It may be legal, but they've done a lot of things that Scott himself really doesn't like, and they've made a lot lazy characters that nobody really asked for. In fact, funko would probably make more money if they just did what people asked, but I suppose they're not interested in making them at this point. Makes me wonder if xmart will maybe try and get a licence or smth, because I feel like they've earned it in a way. Definitely will look into getting these as they'll fit in with my other plushies better.
Thank you for the large comment, it genuinely warms my heart to see someone put in this much time into a response for something I made, but yeah I 100% agree with everything you said, Funko are just idiots, but I do LOVE the christmas plushies coming soon, I'm gonna get them all! Nutcracker Foxy looks the cleanest imo

@@caligokinetics7853 Tbh the only problem I have with XSmart is the fact that there merch isn't available in the UK yet, I understand that they can get shipped to other countries but it's kinda unfair to not release them in countries like the UK. Somebody should just start a petition to get them released at other countries at this point

The controversy is kinda stupid, but hell, I'm pretty sure that Dawko is looking forward to these plushes, and I'm pretty sure that Scott will understand why these talented people want to make a product that the official company won't make. They reuse molds and so much more. It's just lazy and greedy at this point. Scott has given us so much, so can we just agree that this merch is amazing nonetheless.

It would be really interesting to see if xSmart gets a license to be able to produce these as officially-licensed products. I don't know very much about the company other than it's based out of Vietnam, and I have no idea what their manufacturing output is. If it's small enough I'd tend to liken it to the custom plushies the MLP community is so known for, though these are certainly more mass-produced. I think the biggest concern here would be Funko going after the company, I have no idea what Scott's impressions would be on the matter. I did go ahead and order Foxy and Freddy the other day, looking forwards to being able to handle them. I've got that older Withered Bonnie feller a while back too and was pretty happy.
Tbh I don't think they should, sure their plushies are cool but I'd rather have them release in other countries. It's kinda unfair

I compare this to Lego Star Wars customs like it took like 17 years until we got an “accurate” commander Cody most of my clone troopers are customs my commander wolffe is a custom my Rex is using a custom helmet my Cody is a custom from Jonak toys most of my clone army are customs because Lego hasn’t made all the clone troopers that we need like Fives Wolffe Echo Jesse Kix hardcase Waxer Boil and many more

I’m gonna be honest, I only care about the hex ones, knowing a genuinely kind man is the head of the project, trying his best to make game accurate plushies. This year, my hex collection is growing exponentially, as for christmas I’m getting 8 or 9 as well as getting the withereds, golden freddy and Springtrap for my birthday next year.
And you have the freedom to choose that. I respect people who stick to their own opinion

Personally, I respect someone’s opinion if they want to buy the vnkvtl or xsmart plush as a cheaper alternative, though I personally won’t buy them, as they are still relatively pricey for an unofficial “bootleg” plush, I don’t know how trustworthy the company/website is, and I’m not willing to pay so much to a company that is just making the plush in order to make money off of desperate fnaf fans. However, with hex, I know that genuinely caring people are making them, going so far as to spend so long perfecting their preferred designs. Another thing is, with hex, even if they take long and lose some people’s best interests, they won’t rush it to make money from said people, they’ll take their time to do what they want to do with the plushies, and then release it.

I have no issues with bootlegs made by fans of characters that we would typically never get or official plushes that have gotten absurdly expensive. I honestly think some of the xsmart stuff looks a lot better then funko but still a bit worse than Sanshee.
If funko refuses to make certain characters or improve their designs, then I don't feel bad that the mega conglomerate isn't getting a sale and Scotts so rich that it doesn't matter.
Edit: I do think less of people who think you shouldn't buy xsmart bootlegs. You really care about the profits of a uber rich dude and funko? The amount of money these have generated would be a rounding error to their yearly profits. No hate to Scott, I love him but he is rich to the point where it doesn't matter

Lets all be real here, Funko would just make them look god awful. the only reason the first wave of them (Besides chica and springtrap) was because they were just the sanshee ones.
Xsmart is also surprisingly cheap! I genuinely thought they'd be like $50+, but they are actually cheaper than Funko and look better!~

I have that Uthyl withered bonnie plush you showed, it’s honestly great. I like it more than the Xsmart one because the xsmart ones color is wrong and the red eyes are too big. Also the wires are coming out of his body for some reason and not part of the arm or shoulder.
The only problem I really have with XSmart is that there merch isn't available in the UK, I understand that they ship to other countries but not a lot of parents in other countries would want to do that. I'm just going to say that Funko and XSmart are both good in their own ways, but somebody NEEDS to start a petition to get them release in the UK.

It's not that deep. But at the same time that logic makes no sense where you think fictional demons are real. And if it's a demon character you're making, it's still a creature from hell. I don't really see this as really wrong. As many people here have said, Funko has made a lot from the official plushies, and I doubt Scott is hurting for it. These are also not something I'd call a bootleg, rather third party, a term used in the Transformers Fandom for figures not officially licensed, but not bootleg quality either. In fact, most of them are better than official stuff there, bordering on black magic for some of it. That term feels like it fits here too. They aren't official, sure. And they are illegal. But they seemingly have better quality than Funko. (Don't have one yet but it seems to be a shared opinion.) The difference is while every transformer is made by Hasbro, Funko would rather make recolors of Freddy, Foxy and maybe the cupcake, forget Bonnie and Chica unless it's for a fnaf ar skin. If fans will make new characters while Funko only wants to make the cheap stuff with the same patterns, then I say more power to them. If/when Funko makes a character from an older game as a plushie, then maybe this'll change, but as it stands, I say that Xsmarts is not in the wrong. Third Party plushies that Funko isn't making is a golden idea and I wish Funko would realize how much this would make because Idk about others, but I care more about Withered Bonnie and the others than I do for system error Toy Bonnie and the others of the style, even if they're newer.
Tldr; These seem less like bootlegs and like a third party product like you'd get from the Transformers Fandom, if funko would rather make recolor for a quick buck then let the fans take this into their own hands, especially since this isn't gonna make much of a dent to Funkos wallets, or Scott's.

This just goes to show how different the fnaf community is from the Transformers community. Some of THE BEST Transformers are 3rd party companies that just rename the characters while stealing the design to make figures out of. And they happen to be much bigger, heavier and more complex than Official Transformers toys. The fnaf community should be more accepting in toys lol

I just got Xsmart Withered Freddy in the mail yesterday. The quality is really good! Equal to, if not better than a funko plush! And to be upset that I didn't spend almost 70 dollars on a Hex plush is just objectively the wrong opinion.
