- Experience the highs and lows of Team New Zealand's early America's Cup campaigns in this video. In 1992, NZL-20 made waves in the USA, with its innovative twin keel. Then, in 1995, Team New Zealand won the America's Cup. Despite the controversy and challenges, this period showcased the Kiwi spirit and determination that has become legendary in the sailing world.

Thank you, I had been looking for something like this for a long time.
The lost one race to one Australia
Thanks for the info, we will try to be more accurate in the next video
Good video but the narrative is riddled with errors. Firstly, in 1992 the organisation was 'The New Zealand Challenge" headed by Sir Michael Fay. Team New Zealand did not exist until some time after the 1992 AmCup had concluded. Secondly, the silver bullet.... NZL20 is red and was nicknamed The little red sled'. Never silver bullet. Finally for now, there were two 'Black Magic' boats, NZL32 and NZL38. TNZ started the Louis Vuitton Cup with the newer boat NZL38 and then caused consternation amongst rival teams by switching to the older boat NZL32 for the semi finals of the LV Cup. A keen eyed viewer may see the sail numbers change in this video. I stand to be corrected, but NZL38 lost one race in the jury room and NZL32 one race on the water.
Thanks for the very precise information 👍🏻. Do you authorize us to add in the video description your comment to give more extensive information?
@@PressureSailing Absolutely fine.
@@PressureSailingI would also add that team NZ knew NZL32 was the faster boat. So sailed most of the Louis Vetton cup in their slower boat. Giving Denis Conartist a false sense of security. Only to thrash him. The perfect comeback for his absolutely disgraceful behaviour towards New Zealand. May he always lament his thrashings at the hands of the kiwi’s!
