100% acapella. Check out their "Man of Constant Sorrow" cover.
Yes this!
Yes!
I agree 👍
yes this
You must watch this... It's awesome.. :)
That “harmonica “ is completely vocal. Home Free is totally a cappella, no instruments ever unless they have a guest who plays one. Otherwise everything you hear is made with the human voice! Their cover of “Man of Constant Sorrow “ really shows this off.
Agreed, you guys should check out man of constant sorrow
My church, man of constant sorrow, hillbilly bone, 7 bridges road, ring of fire, and aude lang (spelling). Tim Foust the bass can blow sub woofers live.
Oh my god you guys! Home Free? Hell yeah! I am a metalhead but I looooove these guys!
Ok yes the harmonicas are Adam(the beatboxer) and then Tim (bass). There are two different harmonica sounds if you pay attention in different times.
Adam is a freak of nature! I do not think there is a sound he can not make! There is a video of him doing a drum solo! Do not miss out on that!
And Tim, oh Tim, everyone that feels the rumble instantly falls in love with him. Do not be fooled with him he is a cheeky one 🤣🤣🤣.
They are great! They make beautiful covers, amazing remixes and have a few very interesting original songs as well!
Great choice! 🌷
This group won The Sing-off competition the same year that Voiceplay came in second place. The bass singer battled out for world record for deepest male voice. He can hit an A0.
Yep, you have to check out their "Man of Constant Sorrow" cover. At the beginning and end Adam Chance imitates a mouth organ and the sound of swamp bullfrogs. And Adam Rupp (beat boxer) does more of his human voice harmonica. Austin's country growl and yodel. Tim's low notes and Rob's smooth tenor.
That's Adam Rupp doing the harmonica sound. Chance is a baritone singer.
The rabbit hole has been opened...
.
...do you dare jump down it and join the rest of the "Home Fries"?
You will laugh your butts off with the "Butts Medley"! Hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guys they have tons of stuff you need to hit up
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Left to right - Tim Foust, bass. Rob Lundquist, tenor. Austin Brown, high tenor, Adam Chance, baritone, Adam Rupp, world champion beatboxer. Tim has an impressive 5 octave range. I have seen them in concert twice and they will blow you away every time. Check them out with Boondocks/Fishing in the Dark, Man of Constant Sorrow, Do you Hear What I Hear, Hillbilly Bone. All sounds are 100% vocal. There is also a Tim Foust vocal range video. He will make you fall over with the notes he can hit.
Home Free can sing anything and do it well. Can't wait to see some more from HF. Thanks They often switch lead singers and the low bass can also go REAL high. 5 octave range
Welcome to Home Free! I just discovered them this year. They are so good. They won the show The Sing Off in 2013 a year after Pentatonix won. They are a country ‘a cappella’ band but do all genres of music. Their harmonies are stellar and Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low but also sing tenor. No instruments are used whatsoever so drums, harmonica, train whistles, other sounds are all by mouth. All of the boys can beat box to some extent. Try Country Roads, In the Blood, I Can’t Outrun You, Man of Constant Sorrow, How Great Thou Art to hear their great harmonies. If you want funny, try Butts Remix, it’s hilarious! So glad you liked them. Looking forward to more reactions!
Anything by Home Free is AMAZING! Just do yourselves a favor and WAIT for "Mayday" until you know them better. And yes, totally Acapella.
Easiest way to tell...you can see all his fingers, so there's no way he's holding anything. That's all him. lol!
Moonshine is another quarantine song which highlights the tenor guys and is FUN. Their End of the Road cover is outstanding. Have some fun with Home Free
Oh wow! This is your first Home Free experience? These guys are awesome...
They are a bunch of vocal unicorns. So talented! Tim's range is ridiculous. 5 octaves, I believe. You can hear him go high on their cover of "Mayday".
Welcome to the Home Free world - they will have you laugh, cry, and everything in between :)
The harmonic is done by his voice. Check out Man of Constant Sorrows to see how amazing he is. And the Baritone does an incredible jaw heart. All by voice.
This is one of many songs they have put out during quarantine, filmed at their individual homes across the country. It's a great rabbit hole to explore.
Welcome to the basket. The rest of us Home Fries love watching people discover Home Free! Watch all of these suggested, but wait until you know them very well before listening to Mayday!!!!
No instruments guys!! All sounds by voice. Good reaction!!!🙌🏻
And they can sing hymns too. Best version of How Great Art Thou I've ever ever heard. All voice, no instruments...
Home free is an awesome rabbit hole. They just have so much fun. It's all voices. To see their fun, watch the butts remix. Don't watch mayday until you know their rules in the group.
They are awesome and have many songs
Great group of guys. They have been around along time. Glad you are covering them.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free. We "Home Fries" are honored you stopped by. Feel free to stay with us & enjoy the music.
Welcome to Home Free. Absolutely no instruments used, in any song. All Vocals. These guys are amazing. Check out their cover of the O'Jays, Love Train. Great reaction.
He is actually using his voice to replicate a harmonica. Awesome
Welcome to Home Free rabitt hole. They have over 100+ music videos and not a single bad one out there!! They are "country" A Cappella, which I say country very loosely because they do many different generas and do them well. I know you have already and will receive many recommendations for them. It is because they are just amazing. For a variety to see what all they are capable of I suggest these:
Man of Constant Sorrow- Really shows off many skills!
End of the Road- Showcases Rob soulful voice and Adam beatboxing
Do You Hear What I Hear- Perfection! Visual, Harmonies, Beatboxing, and Bass
Helplessly Hoping- Harmonies!!!!
Elvira with Oak Ridge Boys- Collaboration with amazing country super stars
Butts Meledy- Mash up of 6 butt songs that is super funny but also well done
Catch me if you can- One their own originals
Once you have heard several of their songs and familiar with their general singing parts then Mayday. This one we say wait on just because to understand the pure magic in full glory need to know these guys .
Welcome to Home Free! All voices. Adam Rupp the beat boxer can sound like a harmonica. It is said he is a human drum kit. Try hillbilly bone. Man of constant sorrow. They also have awesome Christmas music. Do you hear what I hear. O holy night. They have their own youtuve channel over 1 million subscribers.
Their bass is crazy good! I loved the look in his eyes when he hit the lowest note.
They are great aren't they. You should check out can't stop the feeling and man of constant sorrow. Great reaction. Hope you guys do more of home free. Love love love this group
You guys need to react to more of Home Free’s stuff. Also, that Harmonica is done with his voice
Thanks for the love!
Love Home Free!
The first time you've heard of them, but I'm betting it won't be the last. LOL Definitely check out their "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Butts Medley", and for the Christmas time, absolutely check out their "Do You Hear What I Hear".
And also the Christmas song, "Full of cheer", an original of the bass singer, Tim Foust.
What I can respect the most about these guys is they created their own personalities for their roles as prisoners. I love the effort they put in their art.
Hey guys. I always enjoy your reaction videos. Thank you for taking a peek at Home Free, because it is a "rabbit hole" worth exploring. Enjoy the ride.
I just subscribed!!
Welcome to HOME FREE
HOME FREE is a county A Capella band that does more than country. Tim Foust, the bass, Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, Adam Chance (Chance) is the baritone/bass, Rob Lundquist, tenor and Austin Browm high tenor make up the voices of angels. PLEASE listen to more.. If I know my Home Free family well, they have already given you suggestions of music. LOL Thanks for the reaction
tim foust the bass singer has a rage from A0 to C5. he has knocked plaster from the ceilings of concert halls and blown multiple speakers. watch his collaboration on the Misty Mountains its AMAZING
Welcome to the Home Fries
Just an Extra FYI on the Beat Boxer ... Adam "The Freak of Nature" Rupp, was twice voted as Best All-Around Beat Boxer by his Peers at the World Beat Boxing Competition :-D
While most of their music is distinctly Country (though with pop and even reggae highlights), several non-countru pieces they have done superbly are Auld Land Syne, Mayday, End of the Road, Helplessly Hoping, and Country-fried Pop Medley.
Their cover of I Can't Outrun You has gobs of those deep rich baritone harmonies.
Great reaction, Y'all
Welcome to Home Free! These guys have talent to spare. Every sound is made by them. Since it's the season, try a few of their Christmas songs. Do You Hear What I Hear, Full of Cheer and Cold Hard Cash (for Christmas) are good starters. Thanks! ^_^
Great reaction, thanks for posting!
Gotta say, I'm impressed. I enjoy a (very) wide range of music and like when I see others who do the same. Interested in checking out your other reactions!
Yeah, Home Free is freaking good. Check out Man of constant sorrow and Butts Remix
"Man of Constant Sorrow" is just as good with Rupp doing harmonica and Chance doing jaw harp (although it always sounded like a digereedoo to me). For an original song check out 'Champagne Taste (on a Beer Budget)" and for fun "The Butts Medley / Rrmix".
Whatever you do, don't listen to "Mayday" until you have a good idea of their normal vocal placements or you won't be as shocked / impressed as you should be. "Can't stop the feeling" and "Some girls do" would probably give you an the idea.
Chance's jew's harp doesn't sound like a didgeridoo to me. Listen to Adam's drum solo video. After he says "deep in the Southern Outback" he does a great didgeridoo. Big difference.
They were all in different states when they did this and some others due to Covid-19...
Huge Home Free fan here. Hope you continue to react to these guys, they have a huge very varied catalouge of music. This song was one of their guarateen music videos where they have been doing music from their homes scattered across the country because of Covid. They were on a Euroean tour when Covid hit and came back to the US and their homes and have just recently gotten back together physically. Please react to an original song by Austin Brown, their high tenor. It is one from their newest album Warmest Winter, the song is performed and written by Austin Brown. He has given us a very lovely emotional song to bring back Christmas memories. I think you will find some very interesting and fun song sung by these guys !!!!!
Anything Home Free!
Man of constant sorrow, my church, ring of fire, and 7 bridges road
You got to checkout their version of Man of Constant Sorrow, mind-blowing.
Adam Rupp produces the harmonica sound with his mouth!
How Great Thou Art and Mayday, Man of Constant Sorrow are just a few must hears....catalog is very extensive.
Check out man of constant sorrow by home free
Tim's low note is off the keyboard of a piano and of course, Adam is a harmanica
I think Tim can hit E1 like Geoff of Voiceplay can..........
Definitely checkout “Blue’s not your color” a Keith Urban cover. O holy night , and absolutely How great Thou Art.
If you liked this then please react to more home free!
New sub here... great reaction! Hope you'll check out more Home Free! Their cover of Man of Constant Sorrow is awesome... more "harmonica"!
one of my all time fav band, being a head banger myself lol give a listen to the the group the HU doing sad but true WOW
Home Free Ring of Fire ,Your man, Peter Hollens and Tim Foust Misty Mountain
*Hollens 😎
Tim Foust is a vocal monster!
Basically you can assume any sound you hear is "hand crafted" by voice or mouth or at least by body. (Clapping, for example.) They're almost perfectly pure a capella. The few cases I can think of that stretch the definition either they have a guest artist working with them or they indulge in very, very minor "found sound" games--like Adam drumming his fingers on a paper cup, with a nice little nod to "Perfect Pitch". Or the entire group stomping rhythm, or chest-beating. In all the cases I can think of they show instruments or found-sound extensions. They'll use the paper cup in the shot. You will SEE Rob whistling. They'll show you feet stamping or hands thumping chests. Basically assume that if you hear it but get no clear visual, it's some form of body-crafted sound. You can afford to assume that if there were any question at all, you'll get to see and judge for yourself. If it's obvious to them that its "made with their mouths" vocal music, they don't worry as much about showing.
I like it that they will stretch the definition--but let you SEE how the sounds are being made if there's any worry at all, so you can at least see that it's a good faith choice. Technically stomping feet may be closer to dance percussion than acappela, but it seems within the broad mission statement to me.
They also covered End of the Road
Welcome to the world of Home Free, you should react to one of their originals next, like *"Dive Bar Saints"*. Home Free is 100% acapella, no instruments. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer & he's amazing. Also look for their cover of Mayday, Some Girls Do, Man of constant sorrow....
Remember the movie quote "Build it and they will come", we'll the same is for HF and new subs. React to them and the subs will come out in droves.
Proud Home Fry and member of Nightwish Army. You'll definitely get a sub bump reacting to these guys😂
Adam Rupp the beat boxer is a two time world champion that harp is his mouth you want to hear an incredible harp solo check out man of constant sorrow
Try "Misty Mountain" by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. If you liked how low Tim went on this song, you will love how low he goes on that song :)
Can you react to their cover of take me home Country Roads
Home Free Ring of Fire and Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens feat Tim Foust... These 2 are rites of passage similar to Jinjer Pisces and Nightwish Ghost Love Score... And brace your household belongings for the seismic events that will insue
No!!! Adam is just INCREDIBLE BEAT BOXER 🙃💖‼️
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole ! 😎
All acappella with beatboxer Adam Rupp who has been described as a freak of nature.
Mayday and helplessly hoping next!
Harmonica by mouth, no instruments.
Check Adams Rupp's Drum Sole video. Entertained to the max.
This was not done as a group it was a quarantine video they each do a track at their homes and send them to thier engineer to mix they have done a few like this during these tough times try Do You Hear What I Hear for xmas or man of constant sorrow for best beatboxing you have ever seen BTW new sub
No instruments it's all done with voices. You must listen to "Man of Constant Sorrow" it's just...wow.
Never any instruments!! Adam, the beatboxer, is world renowned and one of the best, if not, THE best !
He can make the harmonica sound with his face lol
This is 100% acapella so yeah, that was his vocals doing the harmonica sound, no instruments at all in this whole song. Their beatboxer not only has a full drum set in his throat, he also has several other instruments that he apparently swallowed, lol He also did the shot gun cocking sound in this.
Great Reaction!

The members of HF are more than talented, they are professional singers! Beatboxer Adam Rupp helped found the group in 2000. Glasses-wearing tenor Rob Lundquist introduced himself to the group in 2008. HF had trouble keeping a bass singer until they called Tim Foust around 2010. They found tenor Austin Brown aboard a cruise ship in 2012. Bass-baritone Adam "Chance" was invited into the group in 2016.
these guys are an A cappella group no instruments all vocals
I feel like you guys would like The Butts Medley by Home Free, or Country Fried POP. Keep up the fun!
For more excellent a cappella, check out Voiceplay with Carry on Wayward Son or Queen in 5 minutes. They're also amazing!

React to do you here what I here by them since it’s almost Christmas by the way tim foust is a bass
Yes!!
Yes!
2:24 Adam Rupp makes the noise of a gun... o_O and he makes " _nomonika_ "
If you want to see what Adam Rupp is capable of, there are a few videos of his live "drum solos" to check out! Also check out "22 times Tim Foust went subwoofer mode!" They have a lot of good covers. Honey I'm Good is probably my favorite!
They are strictly acapella.
It's a acapella group. The beatboxer is *all* the instruments.
You should also check out Pentatonix, and especially Voiceplay. There is also a group called Van Canto, who do exclusively acapella metal songs. They do have a drummer though.
Man of Constant Sorrow.
They covered the Gambler by Kenny Rodgers you must see it.
