Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.
Ty for reacting to anyone in HF!! Adam is a genius!! Sen Adam and HF live!! Incredible! This was in 2015. So just imagine how good he is now! I know!! I just saw them live!!
This is the first Drum Solo routine recorded from the crowd. Since he does this every concert (giving the other guys a break, I guess) and there is some call and response with the audience every one is slightly different. He now uses a looper to record a sound to continue when moves on to layering a new sound on top, and so on. And he has improved and added to his repertoire. A couple videos to hear him (and all of them) at his best are Man of Constant Sorrow where he "plays" the harmonics (or should I say the no-monica?) and God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the Sing Sergeants. Listen for the sound of the jets passing overhead as the song finishes. That's just a start. There are so, so many more that are amazing.
The heartbeat of Home Free. He now uses a looper during part of his performance so he can layer the drums and harmonize with himself. I saw their last 2 Christmas shows and he was fabulous.
Adam is an alien. I don’t know how he breathes. The boys call him a freak of nature. This was 9 years ago so he’s even better now but this is my favorite one. He taught himself how to play drums so he could get the hand movements right. 😍😄 Good reactions!!!
No, he's not a World Champion Beatboxer. It's a rumor. He said himself that he doesn't have the will nor the time to compete. I think this rumor stems from the fact that he's won a few small competitions many years ago. If anyone wants to check, there are videos of every Championship here on YT. Not to take away from how good he is, but it's not true.
Adam Rupp is insane - truly an alien. BTW, they all can beatbox (not to Adam's extent of course). Watch their videos "9-5 beatboxing breakdown", "Joy to the World Hosannah"; however, until you've watched several more of their videos do NOT watch "Mayday Live".
PS - They all can play instruments - most of them play piano, Austin & Chance also play guitar. Adam plays drums, piano, trumpet, and just about anything else he picks up.
If you like this drum solo of Adam's you should check out one of the one from a newer solo where he uses a looper in I think the more recent years concert videos that fans have caught live on cell phones. That they have posted here on youtube
My sympathies, Travis. If you've been "having a rough couple of days today", something has got to be done. I suggest you try to live one day at a time or, if you're feeling adventurous, try to persuade your wench/better half to make you some chicken soup (or bring you a beer).
4:53 also show them more Home Free videos especially “Man of Constant Sorrow”, “Working for a Living” and “Ain’t Going Down till the Sun Comes Up” 5:57 he’s playing the drums like Rick Allen from Def Leppard.
Adam Rupp is stupid good at beatboxing. As is Tim at bass. Austin and Rob are great at tenor, and Adam Chance (during this performance it's still Chris Rupp, Adam's Brother) is a great baritone. Home Free might be the most stacked acapella group in the world.
We've seen them live and my son was impressed with his solo at the end. It was even more impressive live last year. He must have been grounded to his room as a kid and practiced out of boredom. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks Mom if that's the case. Show your son.
Maybe not show this to your son if he just started beatboxing. Might be too intimidating. Adam´s breath support and sounds in quick succession is helped by him being a trumpet player first, drummer and beatboxing second.
You’re more likely to find him playing dungeon & dragons in his game room than riding a horse 😂😂😂
He does a great didgeridoo sound. 😂

Yes , please!!!
This guy is at the top of his game. Adam is so pure sounding with the drums
Adam Rupp is amazing. He has gotten even better over the years. He will be the first to tell you it's just hard work and practice. Love the Ruppster.

Would love you guys to react to one of Adam's newer solos. He is utterly fantastic with the looper. 😊

He's AMAZING. Best beat boxer out there.❤🎉

Adam Rupp is the greatest beatboxer. Home Free is my favorite group. I love Home Free. Thank you both and take care.
Back in the day a guy named Wes Carroll performed with a group House Jacks. He put out some training videotapes. Look him up.
Yessss....ty for this!!! Another amazing reaction. You 2 are one of my favorites
I came across 2 songs. Ray Stevens I Saw Elvis In A UFO. Prince Face Down. Love you all

DJ at the club is out sick
Adam’s friends: I know a guy…
Short article by Adam Rupp and an in-studio clip in Modern Drummer online magazine Nov 7, 2019
Love love you guys

You were joking about Rupp being a one-armed drummer, but Def Leppard has used one for almost 40 years.

He didn't learn to beatbox until Chris founded HF. His best instrument is trumpet.
🔥🔥🔥
HE Can actually play the drums very well might add. Taught himself just to getthe sounds right.
Susie looks a lot better without the dark red lipstick
great review, guys.....Adam is clearly the best at his craft.....
Love both of you would love to watch you’re reaction to mgk new song don’t let you go it’s really deep
Please react to the taras stanin - creepin

Hows he compare with Michael Winslow?
