- Scott did a quick recon mission with a friend who has a home there as well today and the following is a rough cut of what we put together for the people with families and homes over there. We hope it will be of assistance. If you are wanting to donate to the Go Fund Me we created to aid in the rebuilding of our little slice of paradise, you can do so here:

The first truly informational post Dorian footage. I'm sure it will be useful to residents to check on their properties.
'The Villages' .... awful news.
Ty for the footage & the directional arrows, explaning to us the impact. God bless you & prayers for these poor folks!
Thank you so much for this video. Like most who have friends, family, or property in TC, I was very happy to see your video. I was also happy your pilot has first hand knowledge of the area. Unfortunately, one area overlooked was the "Safe and Sound Storage boatyard" between TC and the airport. Many frequent visitors with homes in TC or the out islands keep our boats here while we are away from TC. The yard is visible until 1:12, however I can not tell whether the water rose to the point where damage occurred.
If you have any other footage of this area, or along SE Bouton above the flooded roads, it would be helpful to see. I've been coming to TC since 2000, one year after Floyd. Abaconians thought Floyd had inflicted unimaginable damage. No one could have imagined the force and destruction of Dorian. My heart cries for the wonderful people of Abaco I've met during the past 20 years.
For those reading this post who have not been to Abaco, please do not apply experiences you may have had in Nassau or Freeport to Abaco. Abaco is another world. The number one industry in Abaco is tourism. Abaconians of Treasure Cay (TC) and the out islands are taught from grade school the importance of treating a tourist well. They have learned well. They wave and smile when the pass. They stop to help when help is needed. Ferris has traveled with me throughout Great Abaco and the Out Islands for years. Mickey always says hello and has helped fix my boat. Caspar came to our rescue when we dropped a boat part overboard. He actually rode his bike from miles away and then dove 25 feet to recover the boat part. Avis picked up my laundry from the laundromat that was closed on my departure day and I had to return to the states. Nicholas has helped me over and over again throughout the years, as has Chantel at Blue Marlin. Our cab driver Debbie sings do us during the cab ride (th-cam.com/video/APTfBBu0uEM/w-d-xo.html) and I can go on and on. Chris, who operated the airport bar and was also the Tipsy Seagull Entertainer, was great trip after trip. Whenever I ask, "how much" for a service rendered , they say "Whatever you like" and always thank you regardless how much is (except for taxis which have government regulated fares).
I mention these things because millions of Americans are watching Abaco now, from the comfort of their own homes,. Witness to so many of these great people have not had their lives turned inside out and now have nothing but the clothes on their backs. These people need our help. In 20 years of visiting Abaco I rarely, if ever, locked doors. I frequently left groceries and other items in golf carts. I never locked my boat. I never had a problem. To many of us, Abaco is our second home, but to the displaced Abaconians, they now have no place to go. So lets help these people in any way we can. How much should we give? Do like they always say, "Give as much as you like".
Thank you for your post. Unlike many here its based on facts and is kind. We also have our boat at Safe and Sound and as you say, it would be great to see a better image. But at least there are recognisable boats there, not just rubble
Wow how shocking and hope will donate and help the people of the Bahamas. The people of and from the Bahamas and everywhere else should appreciate this video that you guys did it was great and keep up the good work.👍
Thank you so much for the video. I visited Treasure Cay several years ago and have been longing to return to the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Praying for the recovery of the people and this beautiful island.
Praying for you always from America. Praying that you can rebuild your home. Praying for the poor people.
Thank you! Our home is last on the list. Making her a thriving island again is top. #operationrebuildparadise
Thank you for the video. My wife and I had met a gentleman by the name of Mickey Hayes when we stayed next door to his home called Alta Vista. It was in a couple hundred yards from the point and most of his place and Royal Poinciana looked intact but it was from a distance. There was also a family from Rockledge Florida that had a second home that we had met. Their place didn't look to well. Puts a knot in my stomach to thank that such a beautiful place and such great people have gone through this.
I’ve never been to the Bahamas and it’s always been a dream of mine to go. This video popped up on my TH-cam and if it’s people like you who make me continue to want to go there. This was so kind of you to do a video like this so folks could see what they were up against.
As long as your intentions and video is used for helping the residents that have lost everything then kudos to you sir.
Thank you so much for this video! We managed to find out if our former house is still standing!
God bless you both. My prayers are wrapped around this beautiful island
Aww so cool, what you said......
I don't know Jesus how do I get to know this Jesus ?I want to learn how to wrap prayers arround islands I think that is powerful. I want to learn can you tell me what this wrapping prayers arround an island dose please ? I have never heard such wisdom.
I think I want to know this Jesus person you stoled my hear with your words please if you have a moment to teach me how this wrapping prayers works I would be most greateful . Dose it raise the Dead? please I'm so captured by what you did to this island thank you so much .

thank you so much . I'm so illiterate to spiritual things . I'll ask someone else how I can know this Jesus person I don't think you explains it to me correctly you did however explain how you wrapped your prayers arround this island thanj you so much for responding
Thank you for sharing.
Devastating...I can honestly say I forgot about your guys connection with Treasure Cay.....I hope they receive all the help they need....God Bless Them
So sad. I wanted to get married there. Tipsy seagull was awesome
Great job, thank you.
Thank you! I was wondering about Abaco as we had built a resort, "Abaco Towns By The Sea". It's been many years since I'd been there and really miss it. Such beautiful islands and very sad to see such destruction. God bless everyone and my prayers are with everyone ❤
I have been in FLA 58 Years, I have seen ,lots ,of bad ones. like Andrew, But, These , people are on an Island. I wish, I had, a big boat ,or plane. God bless all effected by this storm, and those that are trying to help.
Thank you!! May God bless those people and you!
Brings new meaning to the wolf and the three pigs houses
thanks for the update, so sad having been there several times. funding the relief fund is the least we can do
Didn't you fund it by tourism? They live on an a island in a hurricane zone. Profiteers or poor people. Nothing else but rich bastards that can afford to buy up everything now to make more money. Sorry, just tired of hearing about the poor folks who are way better off than most of us most of the time.
Still praying for the Bahamas
I would like to work there to rebuild
Any idea about to place for application?
One takeaway from these tragedies is the stark contrast between "have's" and "have not's". The more modern building codes are pretty damned amazing considering the wind speeds. I hope they get all the help they need now, and get help building new structures for the "have not's" that are built to better hold up to these storms.
Thanks for the footage. My wife and I spent time in Green Turtle aboard our sailboat years ago. So much has changed in all time, but it's clear that the locals suffered the worst of it and I wonder if they'll ever be able to recover after this. I've seen coverage of Man & War and of course Marsh Harbor and there again the question is will it ever be able to recover and I'm sure the same will be true of the smaller settlements as well.
All we can do is pray and do our part in the relief and rebuild efforts. Noone wants to see her go down like this. I believe that the community will come together to rebuild paradise!
Have shared your video, thanks so much...please share folks.
Thank you
Well done! Great job on the relief effort!
Great footage.
My sister is missing and lives in Leisure Lee just north of Marsh Harbour. Do you have any photos of that area? Her name is Leslie Kennedy and Wayne Olmstead. Leslie is a teacher at Forest Heights Academy. Thank you.
I know were Leisure Lee is and no you cant even get that close to Marsh without the coast guard making you divert. But we know the Marines are on the ground now and the search begins. We hope your sister and her family turn up soon waiting is the hardest part...
Any updates on your Sister Robin? Prayers!
Thank, you sad video, may out God bless, you and everyone, so, sad😍😎🙄
That village reminds me of Greensburg, Kansas after the EF5 blasted through it in 2007.
Good fellows, horroble!!! Thanks have edited your video. I will show at my Facebook and for you... My prayers...
We honeymooned here not 5 months ago. I'm so sad to see this footage and hopefully I can rally my family to donate in the near future
God bless you all grand Bahamas those that didn't make it through this disaster rip our preys are with you and your family
Historical video document. Best wishes. AOPA member.
Do you know how the Topsider pedestal homes (a small resort on Treasure Cay) did in the hurricane? They were marketed as being hurricane proof. If they survived, I believe they could be an excellent choice for rebuilding Treasure Cay since they are prefabricated and easily erected. Also elevated above a tidal surge.
We used to fly in and stay as a family - so sad to see the current state.
Thank you for all you’re doing. I’ve been donated, but there’s so much more I want to do. :(
Zig says they thought the cost of living, housing was high before the storm. All my money was in the bahama bank that got washed out to sea!!
Do you have any slowed down footage of the 5 Brigantine Beach villas not far from the marina and bahama beach resort?
Anyone heard how Great Guana Cay made it through the storm? and Nippers? Haven't heard anything on the news.
Wow you are amazing
Amazing footage. Thank you! Do you have any footage of Spanish Cay?
Sorry we do not. Limited on time and fuel in the aircraft.
@@SailingTheSpaceBetween That's certainly understandable. We were in Treasure Cay at the Marina last June and then went over to Spanish for a few days. It's absolutely tragic to see what happened to Treasure. I can only assume it looks the same on Spanish. Thank you again for providing this footage. There seems to be a serious lack of coverage from the news outlets, especially given the catastrophic level of destruction that occurred.
Can we find out where the residents of The Villages went or evacuated?
We do know that quite a few of them did get out but we do not have a number count.
Watch the video on Grand supreme news channel, the media are lying about this- it’s so much worse...
Thank you so much for the footage, any word from Foxtown?
No that area is still a no fly zone
Thank you for sharing this footage! We lived in TCB for ten years towards the point - the house name was Point of View while we owned it. Several friends and family are still residents - Any chance you were able to see what the treasure houses look like post hurricane?
Check out the update video we did.
Do you have a footage about cherokee cay
No sorry never got south treasure the airspace was closed
Anyone have any information on Violet the owner of Miss Emilie's Blue Bee Bar and her family please post!
We spoke to Miss Violet.. she was in Nassau when the hurricane hit. I believe she had been there a while helping her daughter who had just given birth.
Anybody besides me wonder where they will put all of the massive amounts of debris ? Think about that for a minute.
It's shipped to the Mainland. Just like all building materials are shipped to the islands from the Mainland for building.
Most will go to a big field and get burned the land fill items that dont burn go to an island for disposal funny enough it used to be guana now it has the most expensive homes in the Bahamas over the top of the dump.
@@veronicasuestarlite4080 I sure hope it's not OUR mainland !
Revelation 12:11-12
[11]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
[12]Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Will a concrete or brick house survive during such a hurricane?
Well there for is the weak spot some brick homes did survive though they lost the roof
Ours did. 12 inches walls, with rebar and poured with concrete, so far more than 280 pallets of sackrete , beams and columns tied it up together. 18 years on the making. No structural damages but the pressure was so high some glass windows exploded under the shutters. yes even a concrete super structure as ours got water damage but we are a little higher ground. The cement constructions who were not filled felt! Some the roofs were not tied together and they are gone.
Great video,
How do I get in contact with you? Email, phone #? Treasure is my second home and I’ve raised a considerable amount to bring supplies there. Are you able to take supplies?
Our email is sailingTSB@gmail.com There is a team at Harbor Towne Marina in Dania that is loading boats up to go over (much faster than ours).
The Oil Is Killing Off The Sea Turtles!!!!
Yes it is and no one is doing anything about it
I don't understand why the crab fisherman who has a 40 foot boat didn't evacuate his wife instead of staying to watch her down .
@kbail he knew way in advance , and probably could have walked faster than that hurricane
Thank you J Cahn for your teachings...So Awesome.....but the thrashing stone is not at The Temple Mount but is located at the Gihon Spring in the city of David....The stone now at The temple mount is not a thrashing stone...its not flat...it could not be used as a thrashing stone...Scriptures says that The Temple will be utterly destroyed...not one stone upon another...so there cant be a wailing wall....please investigate this !!
Dude you ok cat? How's your view on Aerosmith?
Man I really hope nobody has left behind at the mess god bless for people lost ther house Meanwell pyramids of giza still stand after thousands of years of sandstorms I think we need to build houses out of pyramid form triangles are really strong just maybe triangle houses even tornado proof depends on build Technics
haha. who would pay for what you speak of since we no longer have slave labor and standard of living have improved so you cant work people to death? i bet you have no answer bic your thought process is simple and limited
@@bjvu9460 I'm not talking about slave labour man in my country I saw some pyramids one day made from made here heavy-duty Wood beams and shingles and in thick plates in a form Triangle think about a man we need a new way of building stuff especially in extreme Weather areas getting a house blown up Every Year it's just bad cast Millions of dollars to build houses again in some countries those people have already storm proof houses looking like an aerodynamic shape

It will be easy for Elliot Abrams to rebuild Bahamas because is not as big as Venezuela
The good hearted Elliot...
Build at least 2 story concrete structures next time. The kind structures that was used is madness, the next you can go higher, but at least the whole building won't be destroyed.
Welcome to POST SLAVERY IMBALANCE.

Did you see any Chinese ships like cargo ships. They are saying China is using the cargo loading area in the Bahamas. The Hurricane Dorian hit dead center.

AT FIRST THE AIRPORT WAS UNDER WATER. SOME OF THE WATER IS GOING DOWN.
Thanks, I see Flat E.
Terrible to see this, but thank you. Green Turtle took a beating. :(
Is this aircraft a Cessna 310?
its tragic that this area has been destroyed but lets be honest, they didnt know the island that is almost at sea level would be flooded, with a storm of this magnitude? i am not a beach person so i dont understand the fascination with the bahamas while most of florida is built of islands that were attached by a bridge. i am on an island everyday that is ten times more beautiful than anything in the bahamas and i still dont think boca, delray, deerfield, fort lauderdale, hollywood, aventura, or miami is that special; sand , beach, big houses, bars , restaurants etc its all the same.
this place is gone.
😕😢the devolopers will come soon...storms expose ....the dinars
They cant live there no more its DESTROYED.
What I don't understand is why the people in the island didn't evacuate before the hurricane.. also I realized that the nhc don't gave adequate information unless the storm is effecting the US..
Omg that's terrible
Rebuilding? Well rebuilding is needed but, to be realistic, everybody needs to re-think these islands' close relationship with hurricanes. Obviously this is not a place for "regular" suburban development. Every year there will be the looming menace of a hurricane and a hit relatively every so often. So rethinking must be in the form of what kind of buildings are erected; study Dorian's flooding to know where and how to build. Building for permanent resident? Or worse, investing on a residence there? That's a no-no.
These islands need to be transformed into all-tourist destinations with sturdy structures and built with ability of fast reconstruction in mind in case of a hurricane. These low-lying small islands belong to sea and the elements. What happened with Dorian is bound to happen sooner than later again and again.
What is your opinion about Florida, Carolinas, Loisiana, Puerto rico, St.Marteen and all the other places where also have hurricanes? Do you think after Katrina everybody should leave Louisiana? You might have some kind of money to think like that as many in that area are poor, poor people, some very hard working people who do not deserve this and are doing their best to keep it alive and move on. You need to go there and talk to some of the old families to see where they came from and how they have being surviving working hard. I agree some don't but most do.
it was sheer nonsense to build on treasure island,. when are people going to learn you should not build on 0 elevation bars of sand. i fault the idiots who defied God in build in such a dangerous area which should not never have been built on in the first place. then these people ask for money from others to rebuild their 2nd home, again. let well enough alone & accept the plain truth, you should not put lives at risk, again by making the same mistake. take you losses & be happy you are still alive.
Oh but Fl is ok seriously it's there home they will rebuild.
The exact same could be said about pretty much all of the occupation of the Gulf Coast, Florida, and US E. Coast coastal areas ALL the way to Manhatten. And many of the structures that were destroyed by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas were historic buildings that had been preserved for several hundred years. So, could another big storm do the same again in the next 100 or so years, of course. But would you same the same to people in the MidWest USA whose home is devastated by a tornado? They chose to live there, so too bad? Stop complaining and just move somewhere else even if they can't afford to buy property somewhere else? I hope someone has the empathy to come to your assistance if needed someday. You could just have easily been born in the Abacos Islands, Bahama.
Jerry Ernst Amen faithful one. For as it is written having many meanings "He who builds his house on sand that house shall not stand" .....also the scriptures reveal that "The islands fled away and were no more". Smile.
What a mess ? They're gonna need our governments assistance and help A S.A.P.

Maybe try not living on a sliver of land in the middle of the ocean?
All the trees have been stripped-----just browness everywhere. Just like F4, F5 tornados. Awful!
Robbert James show me your meteorology and storm damage degree, then we’ll discuss.
And how do you not see the stripped trees when it’s literally there in the video? Are you one of those blind conspiracy theorist?
Robbert James well I lost brain cells reading this.
Ok first of all, I’m assuming you aren’t educated on how hurricanes work. People just don’t make them category5s. Hurricanes strengthen and weaken depending on their atmospheric and oceanic conditions.
2: Hurricanes don’t just stay at one category their entire lives, they change in structure and strength, this can be because of an eye wall replacement cycle, dry air intrusion/ due to eye wall replacement cycle, or not, cold water, sinking motion in the atmosphere, unfavorable trade wind conditions, or vertical wind shear.
3: now that you know this Dorian weakened down from a cat5 to a cat1 due to an eye wall replacement, cold water upwelling because it stalled out and mixed up all of that warm water which fuels hurricanes, and dry air intrusion. Not because of some conspiracy theory.
4: the reason why the damage in the Bahamas was so “light” considering Dorians strength at the time is because the Bahamas have strict building codes that structures must be able to wistand cat5 winds. Reinforced concrete, steel buildings are required. Even a wooden structure can wistand cat5 winds if built correctly.
5. Cat1 hurricanes can’t have 20ft surges, especially small cat1 hurricanes. The fact that Dorian was a relatively small storm at peak intensity wind field wise and still managed to have a 25ft surge tells you that it was a cat5 at the time.
6: The reason why you never saw cat5 wind conditions in Dorian is because the news were on the “weak” side of Dorians eye wall, usually the strongest side of any hurricane is the northeast quadrant.
7: with that being said you should probably take a look at Josh’s video. He’s a storm chaser that went into the eye wall of Dorian, he definitely captured winds close to a cat5.
Robbert James “the people who were standing in the wind was only miles away from the eye, you can’t do that in a cat5.”
Uh, yes you can if the maximum wind radius is small enough. It’s clear you have no clue or basis on how cyclones function, not even a shred of experience on meteorology.
Dorian destroyed everything in the Bahamas, lives, property, and here you are saying ignorant bs behind your computer.
“well aren’t we the smart one”, is that seriously your best argument? I love how you ignored everything I said because you don’t have a cogent counter thought for your blatant claims. And you definitely didn’t look at Josh’s video.
Not to mention that you used a ventusky app, which is an already inaccurate model used for your average storm winds, and is horrible for measuring cyclone winds, the wind field doesn’t even match up with the eye wall for crying out loud.
Hurricanes are measured by hurricane hunter aircraft, velocity data, satellite presentation, radar presentation, and so much more, not some random cheap ass app that your average layman uses.
This is why everyone doesn’t take people like you seriously. There is so much about meteorology and climate that you don’t no about it’s not even funny.
Honestly, trying to tell you how this stuff works is like trying to teach a toddler about quantum physics. No offense.
Robbert James when did I say that?
And apparently you now agree that Dorian is above cat1 since 150mph winds is high end cat4.
You chose to live there please stop begging and just move.
Most likely you will not be able to rebuild.
Keep the faith... with time, money and people willing to help, nothing is impossible.
