Wonderful Vid'...
To this day there is still nothing to beat the noise and urgency of a Cosworth DFV shouting its head off.
Great video and beautiful sounds! It's fun to watch these old cars with todays sounds and camera quality. :)
Excellent video! The noise is incredible, looks like you had a lot of fun out there. TH-cam needs more videos like this!
Nice camera, I loved the sound it captured and the frame rate to pick up your tires gathering slag.
Nice track and good driving skills. It´s not easy to drive such a car.
the sound of the DFV engine is just.. incredibly beautiful
What a great video that's an incredible car the sound is perfect
Great video.
WOW.. Nice high revving Cosworth..!! That is one fun track
That's awesome, thanks for posting. Looks like massive fun and a good buzz!!!
Now, that's some proper engine sound. Glad to see you've managed to capture both video and audio properly. Nothing beats growl of Cossies and whine of Matras and Ferraris from late '60s / early '70s. And although 741 was one of an ugly son of a b... in my opinion, it's great to see this example so beautifully restored. Good luck running it in historic events and remember to keep uploading new onboards for us!
Great video.. Looks like real fun to drive as you can see the fight back through the steering not like modern cars
Great video. Nice to see I take the same lines in my Miata, they just seem to take a lot longer for me. I never had a problem with 5th though, never seemed to use it.
your So Cal "crew" gives it 5 stars! Friggin flyin!! Post some race video!
Sincerely,
USFC So Cal Chapter
Nice sound track at the 10k band.
Nice drive. Id take this over a modern F1 any day
Sweet video!!! Love the sounds.
No commets, it´s a really show of performance and shor. Unfortunally nowadays we can´t see this anymore on the races around the world.
@moptim Give thanks that the track is "quite curvy". The curves, rises and downhills on this 3 mile track are what make it so much of a challenge and so much fun. I'm not generating 3 G's in my Miata on this track, but 1 G is still plenty of fun. It may take me 2.5 times as long to circle the track, but I'm pushing just as hard, hitting the 7,000 rpm redline, punishing the brakes and tires, and having a blast. Try it if you can at your local road course. Any reasonable car can be fun.
this vid is so sick
Superbe "balade à la campagne" au "doux" son de cette brute de V8 Cosworth... Infatigable et nerveux !💪😜🏁🏎️
F1 was at the historics last week. Aug 2013.
Good drive!
DFV's ripped!!!! Great old school DOHC!!!!!
amazing video!!!!! TEN stars.... :P
if only they raced with engines like this in the nowadays' f1 too :/ and sadly the track is quite curvy, the car sounds SWEET when the pedal is kept to the metal on a longer straight
that was badass
the track reminds me of phillip island
Ford Cosworth DFV !
Where do you get parts and tires for these things anyway? Must be excruciatingly difficult to keep them in running condition.
MORE, MORE !!
I want one!
Hey Claude. After 10 years of fun in the car, I sold it. Still have a 1972 March F1 721G. Super Fun.
Just out of curiosity, can you tell me why you quickly put it into third before second when changing down from fourth to second? also are you actually engaging the gear, or just keeping the clutch in whilst doing so?
Very nice video, i've watched it a couple times today and yesterday, i hope you make some more of this car, really nice to see some of the old March's still going strong :)
The track has a lot of relief but not much in terms of features it appears.
any idea when the monterey historics will have f1 cars again? this last shelby/trans am one wasnt even close to as good as 2011
Nice! I thought we were on for a "over-rev" at 4:10, was it a missed upchange or a mistaken downchange?
is there a way to tune these engines so maybe they have less power but a longer running life?
properly quick.
+1 Agreed!
@milano61 that is a nice car. whin i get my drivers lisence i am asking my dad for a car like that eccept a supera. is that car a 2 door? and is the ingine stock?
listen to that DFV scream!!
Great video! Are you part of the F1 crew that goes to Road America every year?
espetacular!!!!

Yea fucken hypocrite.
Thank God some loon didnt try to put some horrible techno song over it. Beautiful noise. Also I think Hermann Tilke would shit himself.
@horses020 Sounds like a ridiculous comment. Are you trying to be funny?
@flyinbryan1619 - Are you trying to be funny or are you like 10 years old??? you spelled 5 words wrong that my 7 year old can spell !!!
