I feel like you guys should consider an advanced ladder, (obvs not this year cuz its too late but perhaps 2019)one with more difficult tricks than intermediate, but not as difficult as open because the skill level gap between the both is quite large for those players that can easily complete the intermediate tricks but havent yet grasped the super tough tricks like juggles and multiple taps

If the intermediate and open divisions are going to be so far apart is capability, an advanced division speed latter or competition style should be introduced. I’m sure there is plenty of difficulty behind that coming to fruition but I’m very confident a lot of players will stand behind me when I say that huge gap between intermediate and open will alienate a lot of us. Do we grind hard to try and maybe get a few open tricks down in the next month and a half? Or do we sandbag ourselves into intermediate where we are far ahead of the people who have grounded for a month to get those tricks down? Everyone loses in the scenario. I’ve been playing predominantly Sweets Kendamas product ls for the last year and am a former MKO competitor. I’ve also helped Josh Grove run a Kendama camp for kids down here in Des Moines Iowa. I’m not here to tell you guys how to do your job, I just want to provide honest feedback.

Honestly, these tricks are far harder than beginner. I would have to do beginner and i would probably win. These are a lot harder, I like the challenge!

As a returning competitor is this category, I’m sad to see that the trick difficulty has been lowered. I did intermediate last year and moved onto day 2 after only playing for 3 months. The gap between this and the open division is astronomical and creates a huge barrier between players. I love everything you do but this isn’t embracing the players who’ve stuck with you for 1-2 years cause the jump form intermediate to open is too big. Especially dropping the tricks a month before the competition.
