    I am in great confusion now .
    You are saying VIT means fuel pump plunger helix has different profile
    Super VIT means different rack which moves barrel up and down.
    One Anonymous video on Utube says.
    Supee VIT means electronic VIT.
    What is right ?

      Sir VIT means simple VIT as in old fuel pps where the advancing is fixed for a perticular load ( dependant on fuel rack )and keeps changing as load goes up, but the amount of advancement can not be changed, that means how poor the fuel quality may be this system will only this amount of extra timing no matter by how much extent the combustion is completed, but in newrer models even to provide the extra time for poor fuels it has been designed to give not a fixed but a flexible advancement for different fuels with diff qualities some get 1 deg someget ,2 deg and 3 deg and so it is not constant for a perticular load that in super VIT.

    Could you please explain why engines lose too much combustion pressure at low loads.

      Poor atomization by the fuel nozzles, scavenging air pressure drops and reduction in compression pressure will affect combustion
      efficiency and Pmax will be reduced. This may lead to increased carbon deposits. Turbocharger efficiency is affected by increased
      deposits and carbonization, resulting in a further
      reduction of scavenge air flow. Un-burnt fuel residues which clogs and gums piston rings, which causes a further drop in sealing efficiency and hot combustion gases blow past the poorly-sealing piston rings further reducing Pmax.

    PLEASE DONT FOLLOW THIS....this is wrong..VIT is not controlling the helix plunger.the helix plunger and rack is there there to give fuel as per fuel rack controlled by governer.The vit is controlling the beginning of injection by adjusting the barrel in fuel pump with the help of a rack arrangement.The super vit is when this controlling action is by an electronic device which also consider the scavenge pressure..what's explained in this video is not correct....

      My friend I have made this PPT after doing bit research...but if u feel this is wrong then u can do ur own research...n do read ME engine manual n let me know after that if you could find something called super VIT for these electronic engines...u can send me the source n I will make corrections...👍

      buddy u have confused urself. he is right in his video. u can go through video from RMES channel where the chief engg explains clearly what is vit and super vit. i think u saw electronic title in e learning and came to conclusion.

      This is correct In vit there is an cut in the helix only no vit rack this is old system. In super vit there is separate vit rack and its controlled by pneumatic cylinder and signal from the governor. Adjustable breakpoint
      @the youtube guy pls watch this video properly and also read the book.
