i wonder, is there a way to make sure that dominion buff does not run out?, basically you got your awaken rdy to refresh without losing it. i do know of one method only but that requires to activate hype 3 and that seems quite.. meh. is there another better way or do we still lack stats/items in the western version?
With Hype level 2, your Dominion buff only gets a downtime of around 8 seconds so you can play around that pretty nice. Also, with conviction, judgement and Hype level 1 you can pretty much have the buff constantly but I would not recomend waiting for the combo in a Energy Overflow build. You can maybe do it for the first ultimate, but generally speaking, is better to just ult at the start of the fight even if you dont manage to hit the ult

First gate was on normal, gate 2 and 3 were done on hard

dominion build, your awakening is just to self buff it does -50% dmg with that set
Awakenings are rarely for damage. They're for utility. At end game, awakenings do a neglible amount of damage, for the majority of classes.
