    Very informative video. I have just purchased a Clavinova CSP 150 in the last couple of days. I have always wanted to learn the piano but never really had the chance before. So I am so glad that this piano teaches us how to play in a sense. Thank you...

    I seriously doubt there is a huge difference between the NWX and Grand Touch S action. I would also note, the only CLP designs that are really a step up over the CSP, are the 765, 775, 785, and 795… Below those models, the CSP-170 is probably the better purchase.

    Now that CLP has been discontinued, what do you do for that GrandTouch type of piano if that is what is important to you? Also, what is the type of speaker used? Could you tell me more about them from how loud they are, whether they can be replaced if they go bad, and how many watts of power? (any more information you have would be nice) I want to fill a room as if I had a real grand piano so will I need an external speaker?

    A risk is that the app at some point will not be compatible anymore with newer tablets. It's from Yamaha and not some kickstarter company so they might support it well, but still it's a risk.

    Great video! I have gone to several piano stores and was told the CSP was discontinued by Yamaha. Being a new piano, could this be true?

      It isn’t new, it has been around for about 5 years, but honestly, I doubt Yamaha will drop it for at least 3 years. However, the supply issues have left them in limited quantities and very hard to get.

      We certainly haven't heard anything like that. The Yamaha Clavinovas have usually been replaced every 5-or-so years, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a new version come along in the next 12 months. That being said, Covid has delayed many things like this. We'll just have to wait and see!

    I struggle to read sheet music but I am at a grade 5 level and take a lot of practice with reading sheet music to get a piece going. Do you mean that beginner players will surpass the need for stream lights as they learn to read sheet music or do you mean that, as the complexity of music increases, the lights are a less effective method because it’s harder to follow?

    • @ePianoscouk
      @ePianoscouk  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're touching on two important points! Firstly, beginners may indeed find that as they become more proficient in reading sheet music, they rely less on aids like stream lights. Over time, the ability to read music becomes more natural, reducing the need for visual aids. Secondly, as music becomes more complex, following stream lights can be challenging due to the speed and intricacy of the notes. So, in both cases, developing strong music reading skills is beneficial and can eventually make the use of stream lights less necessary or effective. Keep practicing your sheet music reading; it sounds like you're making great progress at your level!

      @@ePianoscouk thank you! I’m dyslexic but didn’t know for years and assumed I was just a very slow reader and struggled with sight reading in general but I agree that learning sheet music is probably best!
