Then you may like French Canadian (Quebec) music :) The first tune played is called Aire Mignonne. Which means "Lovely tune" in french. If you want some other tunes of the same kind, just let me know :)
This music has something that makes a person relaxed & smiling each and everytime... while hearing !!! Thank you so much Ìmar for sharing this wonderful music !!
I LOVE IT! What an awesome sound you create! Please keep it up! I think these are my favorite instruments in the world. Uilleann pipes are SWEET! They are way too rare in the U.S.
I'm so glad you're a Glaswegian band, maybe I'll get to see one of your gigs soon. Wonderful fiddle inspiration. I just checked your gig list though - play in Edinburgh ffs! please. thank you.
Oh what a find. This group has longevity. They have the same kick start as the first Solas or Lunasa recordings. I am lucky. I will have an opportunity to see them live in the summer. Hopefully by then there will be a CD to purchase.
Good song! I like their playing. Lol - learning to speak French would be a whole different ballgame. I've learned a little bit before, but always get it mixed up with Spanish when I get excited. The listener has to maintain a sense of humor 🙂
What a fantastic, spirited, talented, and well-arranged set. As noted below reminiscent of early Lunasa, but frankly as well played (if not better) and much more contemporary. Hope to see (some of ) you at the Isle of Man Irish Trad weekend (Oct 2017), failing that L'orient festival. Brilliant!
@@olive4naito really depends. Wouldn't hurt to check out any nearby folk festivals in and around your area. Groups like this are more likely to book at events like that then a solo concert. Des pièces comme l'air Mignonne de Simon Riopel y en a pas d'autres dans ce style au Québec et c'est normalement joué en vielle !
Ça doit être quelque chose en vielle.

French Canadian trad music was heavily influenced by the Irish and Scottish traditions. Indeed, jigs and reels are a staple here in Québec!
I felt a bromance energy out of this song
