Great to see you on the water. I loved 125 dinghy sailing but my sons are grown and gone away from Brisbane so I got rid of my sailing dinghy as I was just sailing on my own. I would love to get a sailing dinghy again.
I'm considering buying a Scruffie 16. Can I ask what you think of the sailing ability of the boat? It has a wonderful cockpit and nice short draft, but I'm just not sure about how well it sails. Are you satisfied with it? Any advice you can give would be appreciated.
@duncan18663 for my first boat, it's been brilliant. Stable easy to handle and roomy, low maintenance. The only downside is the up wind sailing ability, so an outboard is a must in some situations, eg, against wind and tide.
@@Dentsln65 thanks for the info. It is a beautiful boat - I love the big open cockpit and the shallow draft. Would you feel confident sailing it in the north of Moreton Bay? I saw you went out to Green Island once but it looked pretty hectic.
Always good to see some Scruffies on the water....cheers Paul

Thanks for the video. Must have been blowing at the end, noticed you on your last reef!
Yes there was som very strong gusts weather report says highest gust recorded was around 26knots, I only have one reefing point.

I haven't had the opportunity yet, but it would handle it well.
@ thanks - one last question! Did you retrofit the mizzen and extra headsail to your scruffie?
