Engineering is about doing hard things, though. Using a hill and smacking a track onto that, has been done before. With the elevated sections, you lose spectatorship but gain foot access to the grounds.
Driver61 is trying to get funding for a ceiling ride section. I think he needs a fan car for it, so speed matters less. Imagine an unside down section of track above our heads, over gorilla glass. And of course the track itself is transparent so we can see it from above as well. I actually like that they went to the extremes of existing tracks and combined them. Seems there is a corkscrew as well?
I mean why not have a tracks like this, f1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport so the tracks should be crazy. It looks like there could be some good coners with lots of elevation change.
I mean its just pictures so nothing set stone but f1 is suppose to be pushing motorsport to the limit so shouldn't that mean track design should be pushed as well. okay middle east hasn't got the best reputation. but lets say this inspire other countries to get creative with new track designs then maybe new f1 track wont all be street circuits.
It is clear that people in Western countries are not informed, but the governments are managing them according to what they want. This means that America has committed the largest human rights violations in Japan, as well as in Afghanistan, and finally in the current century, Iraq, and also what Israel is doing in Gaza by killing women and children. Finally, someone comes and says that the Arab countries are committing violations. Against human rights !@@georgemayatt896

Yeah I don't know if the teams and drivers will approve that first turn being that elevated. If a car were to ever go airborne and launched over the edge that would be that would grind things to a halt. Just remember Alex Peroni going airborne at Monza in an f3 car. Imagine an F1 car full speed into an elevated corner. Cool concept, but not practical
The good thing about it being an elevated part of the track is that when a car gets airborne, it comes down a lot faster, cus you know, it's moving up a hill. Unless they put rocket engines under the cars, no car will fly off the track. there.
Bro there are qualified engineers to solve that problem.you think they Hired people from local construction agency who don't know about that problem!?😂😂😂
Actually, terminal velocity when falling from the sky in an F1 car might be way slower than the average crash into a wall. Main downside is the angle of approach. Example: in a straight line at top speed, going off the throttle already induced a more than 1G decelleration. This implies that you can't reach ~330 kph falling nose atraight down from any height, even with DRS :-D
Stop it with Jeddah being a street circuit. It's not. It's a track where they built facilities, buildings and other roads around, and they put walls to the track making it like it was a street circuit. To be a street circuit, the roads must exist before making the track. For the Jeddah track, the year before, it was a beach. If it's a street circuit, where are the 90 degrees turns or the circulation paint on the ground ? like every real street circuit, like Monaco, Montreal, Albert Park, Adelaide, Long Beach, Baku, Singapore. Even Mexico is more of a street circuit than Jeddah
The way I see it, if the circuit is in place anywhere where there is a road in its entirety, it is a street circuit. The street doesn’t necessarily have to exist before the circuit for it to be a street circuit

Even though I obviously don't like the human rights reputation of these middle eastern countries, they're definitely trying to raise the bar for creativity and innovation of motorsport facilities. If these pictures are to be fully believed then this track looks insane, although whether it will produce good racing will likely depend on the track layout as there seems to be multiple of them.
I’m still wondering what safety measures they’re going to put. They’re f1 cars going well over 200mph or 385km, I just don’t think this will likely happen as “the blade” seems just too sketchy and risky to actually put on a circuit we’re the worst fastest race cars are going. 70m aswell is so much

This dickard will never make it, impossible and stupid project. Just the security stake make it impossible because of difficulty to intervene on the elevated curve in case of accident, notwithstanding the possibility for the car to fall over the ramp. On top of this they have not even made any banking, which is much more interesting than any elevated track. Remind me the Avus track 😅
