Excellent pick ups in this transaction Angelo. Hopefully you'll retain some of those for your PC. I've been collecting Marvel Two in One and The Defenders from the back issue bins as well lately. Hopefully we'll finally meet up at Brick City Con at the end of the month. Or if you're heading my way, Suncoast Comic Con is April 22-23 in Bradenton I'll be there one or more days.
Hey man we meet a couple if weeks ago at the Orlando Auction I was sitting behind you. What a small world I have bought massive amounts of comics from D(won't put his name on blast here) I never got 30% of I got 20% and I never got invited to his house (hahaha) I did clean and press some comics for him. If you need that service I can do that for ya. Ok let me know if your interested. BY the way that Catwoman box I bought for $50 so far I turned in to $300. Hughes covers are worth there at in gold.

Most people I know who collect comics know all about it being a key, who designed the cover and how much it is worth. Couldn't tell you a lick about the story inside... I read every single book I buy and usually have about 50 waiting in a pile to be read. To me its kind of like buying a car and parking it in the garage and looking at it every once in awhile. Let your friends come over and see it so you can talk about the engine but have no idea how it handles on the road.
I agree, i’ve been wanting to collect so bad but unfortunately I have not been able to due to money. But once I am able to I really just want to read them
Pretty good score. I love trading away stuff I have no interest in for new good stuff. I also like how you are aware of one of the basic rules in collecting. Be nice to somebody and they'll remember you later. When I used to hit conventions(back in the day when they had comic dealers) I always let dealers know I wanted Neal Adams stuff. His stories, covers, anything. Every time I'd see a familiar face, they'd pull out some Adams stuff they saved for me. Saved me a world of time not having to scour through boxes. I miss those days. Great videos, keep up the good work.

I love the look of the older covers, definitely some cool stuff you grabbed. I've started watching out for them at thrift stores and made some decent finds already.
I have literally never seen any comics at thrifts stores that weren’t 90s. And those were $10 for 50 cent books.

This is my new favorite channel. I’ve been a diehard Star Wars comic fan for a few years now but I appreciate the hobby as a whole. I’ve been trying to buy collections and whatnot in preparation to run a booth at a con. Found some sweet collections, and have had a blast doing so. But Y’all do an amazing job showing off y’all’s journey as comic book sellers. Would love to see y’all at a con.

Nice haul but I wished you got a few more keys for the money you paid, like a Werewolf by Night #33, the 2nd appearance of Moon Knight. Really cool you almost got the complete volume of Defenders! It sounds like you established a good relationship with the seller so hopefully you continue to get good deals from him in the future.

When you were giving the tip about getting your foot in the door. Originally I thought you were going to say warning don't go to strangers houses LOL. Would have thought going to an antique store would pay off and you meeting the main guy who provides the comics at the end of the day you wound up getting an awesome deal.

Great comics, but in my opinion $200 would have been the most I'd have paid for those comics!
So smart to just get you foot in the door with people, especially older collectors. Makes a great connection with another community member, AND opens up a door for future deals. So important.
