i still can't believe it was shot in the 80s. it looks so crisp and almost modern, and the way that the camera is used is incredible. the shots in this movie were ahead of their time.
I've seen a lot of movies in my 41 years on this earth but visually?... none have impressed me more than Kurosawa's ran...the whole film feels like a masterpiece painting
The two aspects that popped out to me when watching this was the colour then towards the end Mise-en-scène as the blocking was so genius and dynamic. It felt so purposeful. I do have issues with this film but it is marvellous.
Close contact with director Akira Kurosawa! The camera time slipped in July 1984 at the shooting site of the movie "Ran". You can meet a master who gives gentle and polite acting guidance to actors who do not scold other than the assistant director.

Yes that was intentional, the music from Ran is unfortunately copyrighted and I was unable to use it for the video due to this reason. Hence, why I chose to use the Kagemusha score.

Ran is undoubtedly a timeless piece of work, thanks for watching!
What'll really shock you was that Kurosawa was slowly losing his eyesight when he was shooting "Ran".

unfortunately the music in the beginning is NOT from 'Ran' but from 'Kagemusha', I like this score too, but for this issue it's just the wrong music
